2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer owner complaints

I had to replace the driver side window motor at about 30,000 miles and now the passenger side motor is acting up and will probably have to be replaced - I am currently at 38000 miles. Seeing so many other complaints, including vehicle door fires, this should be recalled. *tr

Airbag light came on and had a bad impact sensor. Had to replace to pass inspection. SUV only 6 years old. Stability control light comes on every time I hit a bump in the road. *tr

75k on 2008 trailblazer.... Instrument panel lights and audio display work intermittently. Seems to be connected to cold temps? They are off at startup but as SUV is driven and warms up... The audio display appears. The radio/cd player work even when the display is off. Just started happening this fall (2016). Also.. The low tire pressure light comes on only in cold temps but goes out after driving a few miles. *tr

While entering a gas station the vehicle in front of me slammed on the brakes. This was done because the gm at the pump had it's backup lights on and wasn't even backing up. What's really disturbing is the fact people will start ta ignore these in dark or rainy parking lots and potentially get run over. Shouldn't backup lights only be used for backing up? This looks like a problem with the whole vehicle lineup. *tr

It bag for front driver light is on do not know why? There is some kind of electrical short and I've had it checked by two companies cannot find it I've had new battery, new alternator and still car stops working I get car jumped and can put key in ignition to try to start car and when I shut car off too soon or why I try to start car it's not working and then I cannot get key out of the ignition this has happened at least 5 times car only has 84883 miles on it this happenes if front of house when I go to start car. I am listing last time this happened was today but the airbag for the drivers side is always on now for about 5 months

Was driving and suddenly the exhaust got real loud. Took it to repair facility and they said that the exhaust manifold had cracked. Gm knows this is a bad part , and a safety part, but they only advanced the warranty 20,000 miles. I have never had an exhaust manifold crack on any vehicle, besides one that is 6 years old. *tr

With only 55,000 miles, the exhaust manifold cracked. Seeing all of the complaints online and talking to my mechanic, this seems to be a default part. Chevy should be recalling these. My mechanic had to order the part through the dealer and they had the replacement manifold in stock. Exhaust manifolds are not normally stock items unless there is a real high need to replace them....... *tr

2008 Chevy trailblazer 42,000 miles had to have the manifold replaced as the entire manifold was split around the entire pipe. *tr

Numerous times I have driven this vehicle and it continues to do the same thing when I reach speeds of about 35 to 40 MPH it loses power, the tach. Even declines in it's reading. It's like someone is behind me with a rope, and stepping on their brakes, slowing me down. This happens when I'm going straight down a street, making no turns, and let it basically idle roll down the street. All the while, it is in gear, engine running, and in motion on a city street

Dim headlights quit working while driving at night. Bright lights worked, but no dims.

While turning left at low speeds stabilitrak activates shutting power off to the wheels once you release gas petal for 5-10 seconds stabilitrak will return to normal and allow power back to wheels. The fuel gauge is fluctuating from full to empty and the empty light comes on. It has occurred a few times now over the last few weeks. The issue has the potential to cause a stall condition, if the vehicle runs out of gas unknowingly due to this inaccurate gauge condition. I have been able to research some documented evidence of this known issue on NHTSA, but have not found any solution being offered by gm.

My 2008 trailblazer is having a rough idling issue.. When I first start my vehicle it does not want to keep running. It doesnt want to move either. It is the throttle position sensor and it cost 300.00 to buy the part

For three weeks my fuel light denotes that I am on empty. I thought that I had forgotten to get some gas. But when I started to pay attention to the gas light, I noticed that, even when I filled up the gas tank, I was still getting that ringing sound that denotes 'empty'. I went to close my hatchback on my 2008 trailblazer yester and after closing the door a few seconds later the glass exploded. Some on the inside of the car and some on the outside. The truck was parked. I now have a cut on my finger that may need stitches. I hear this is a very common problem with these trucks.
