I have experienced multiple issues with my 2008 GMC acadia my first problem was with the transmission having to be replaced. Which just barely was covered under the warranty I had after buying the vehicle used since that first incident I have had continual problems. My engine will stay running after the key is turned to the off position and the key is removed from the ignition the car continues to stay running the engine does that is all other lights go off no radio or ac stay on. I have had it in the shop different times no one can correctly diagnose and fix the issue. I am now watching the tow truck hook my car up to be taken to the GMC dealer which is going to cost more than I am sure I can afford to pay as a single mother trying to make ends meet. So besides the engine runnin

I had started noticing slipping of the transmission, this primarily occurred when reversing and then when trying to gain speed like on the on ramp trying to get on the highway. I made an appointment to have it looked it with our local mechanic who preceded to tell me they could find nothing wrong and to bring it back if the check engine light came on that way they could hook it up and get the code. I had an upcoming trip out of state and prayed the vehicle would make it and it did. I continued to notice the slipping of the transmission and approximately 2 weeks later I was driving in town, going about 35 MPH and my check engine light popped on. I parked the vehicle and dropped my daughter at daycare, got back in the car to leave and the vehicle would not go into reverse or move forward. I

Repeated (at least 5 times) leak along the airbag driver and passenger side. Dealer says they fix it and the problem reappears on the next rain event. Causing electrical problems and mold problem in the car. *tr
Head gaskets and engine default and ground wire system defaulted.
When it rains, water leaks from the air bags. Water also leaks from the light fixtures and dvd player in the middle seating. Water also comes in somewhere under the dashboard/electrical panel area, onto the passenger side floor. The last time it rained, there was standing water on my passenger side floor. This has happened while driving it in the rain and while it was parked. Stablitrak and traction control lights are constantly coming on - even after looked at. - I have pictures of lights on. Also constant service engine soon light problems. *tr

I bought the car in late 2008, it has leak every since the first time it rained. I have taken to the dealer more than a few times. The only solution they give me is to seal shut the sunroof. The dealer believe that is the problem. It used to leak from the sunroof but now every time it rains it leaks and a lot and from all over the place. It has severe water damage and the car smells awful because it is wet all the time. My car only has 77,000 miles and I was hoping it will last me a while but now I'm not sure. The vehicle has manufacture defective roof drains. *js
Known issue with this vehicle- was never notified of defect. Significant water leak from somewhere in roof into passenger compartment at a posts and into dash area. *tr
My 2008 GMC acadia slt2 model has water leaking into the passenger cabin. The water leaks are coming from the seat belt retraction area on the pillars leading down from the roof and also on the pillars at the front windshield where the airbags are located. I also have water soaking the front driver and passenger rugs, it appears water is running down the fire wall from the front possibly down the pillars. The rood headliner is getting wet at each spot where the roof pillars meet the headliner. I am quite concerned about water affecting the electronics, fuse box, airbag deployment and I am concerned about mold. I have noticed that the brake pedal squeaks when I depress it and I attribute this to the water hitting areas it should not be. I purchased this car with 1,275 miles on it as a certi

I was driving down the highway and the stabilitrak turned itself off and a warning light came on saying it was off and to service it. I tried to push the button and it did nothing and then it cleared itself and turned back on without any prompt and when slowing down and pressing the brake pedal the steering wheel vibrates and the whole right side of the car shakes.
My wife was driving in the walmart parking lot and went through a puddle of water causing the power steering to stop working. I told her to stay there until I could get there to meet her. When I arrived, I drove the vehicle through about an inch of standing water in the same parking lot and the power steering stopped working again. This has happened one more time since then while driving about 25 MPH on a road near our home. *tr
The power steering stopped working while driving and I had to complete emergency maneuvers to get the car off of the road. *tr
