Drivers door lock failure. According to the auto forums on the internet, this is a widespread failure, for all doors, not just the drivers. Its an electrical wiring problem with the lock actuator. Gm refuses to fix them out of warranty and has issued no recall. I read a woman's post where her toddler child almost fell out of the back seat while moving because the door failed to lock, seat belt was the only reason child survived. Gm should be ashamed for not recalling this hazard. *kb

Driver door will not lock or unlock with the key fob or the door lock/unlock button on the door. This creates a safety concern. *tr

12/26/2011 40,000 mi ODI #10441229.0

Door locks have failed on 3 out of 4 of the doors. Sometimes in the locked position, sometimes in the unlocked position. Some postings on this topic are referencing issues with wiring harness. If the locks were to not unlock in an car accident, or god forbid rolling over down a hill that there is the potential for loss of life. There are multiple complaints regarding this on the internet. Gm is well aware of these failures. I really believe this should fall into the recall catagory of vehicles. *tr

The problem began when the drivers side door locks began to fail. They will not lock or unlock other than by doing it manually. Over the last several months, both of the rear passenger doors have failed. This situation is very dangerous in the event of an accident. I found this site after discovering several blogs where many gm owners are having the same problem. *tr

I already have complaint number #11025458. I wanted to continue adding. Since I filed the complaint the problem still persist and more frequent and dangerous. The check engine light still comes on then within a day or two turns off. Stays off for a few days then again on and off. It's not the oil change that has been done already. That's the only message we get when we take it to GMC to have the light checked. The excellarating still continues when I'm at a stop light. The car has turned off on me 2 times now while wanting to drive (excellaratting to drive) the car has not wanted to turn on for 1hr. It's not the battery we had it checked. My time on the truck keeps resetting. After I set it then go back in the truck to drive it's reset again, so it's turning off the battery then turning I

Dashboard cracks around instrument cluster and front passenger air bag. My dashboard started to crack a couple or years ago and is now cracked all over. It is also a safety issue. I have tried to stop the cracks in different ways and it just continues. GMC should respond and change the dashboard of these vehicles. I asked the dealer in the last inspection for the repar. It is close to 1300 dollars and GMC does not respond. Clearly this is a quality issue

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 GMC yukon. While driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle stalled and the traction control and reduced engine power indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel control module and the body control module were faulty and needed to be replaced. The technician replaced the fuel pump, but the failure recurred. The dealer (allen gwynn Chevrolet, glendale, ca, 844-636-8480) scheduled an appointment. My 2008 yukon xl is giving several error messages. Traction control off, service stabilitrac, check engine light remains on even after I've replaced the throttle position sensor, coil pack, full tune up nothing seems to fix the issue and I see that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. Any insight on resolving this problem would be gladly appreciated it is also using more oil than usual. *tr
