Front passenger door will not unlock. Problem is related to the door actuator. Car fob or internal door controls will not unlock front passenger door. Concern is that a passenger in front passenger seat will not be able to quickly exit the car if required in an emergency without climbing across to another door. Issue occurs at all speeds or when car is in the park position. *tr
Front passanger door lock will briefly unlock then on its own lock itself. You have to force the door lock open just to get out and once the lock opens it slowly locks itself. The key fob and lock switch will briefly unlock the latch. (we do have factory installed alarm). My wife also noticed dome light no longer coming on (might just be dead bulb). This could be a huge issue in an accident if passenger or emergency personal are unable to open door due to lock always locking itself. A lot of force is needed to unlock the door. It seems like the door actuator is getting a lock signal and staying in the locked position. Again you can momentarily manually force the door lock open and with the switch/keyfob. Recent repairs: we did recently replace the car battery because
The driver side rear door and trunk cannot be unlocked. There is no response when I try to unlock the doors with the remote. The door also does not open when I try to unlock the door manually. This is definitely a life threatening safety issue in case of an emergency escape becoming necessary.
I purchased a used 2008 Honda crv on 07/19/2017. About a week ago the rear driver side door lock was unlocking by itself. While driving on city streets and fluctuating between 5 to 20mph the door locks would lock and unlock until you get to highway speed. The rear driver door would stay unlocked. I went to a Honda dealer to have it looked at and they said the actuator was bad and the rear passenger side door lock actuator was beginning to fail due a load noise when activated. They replaced both actuators at a cost of $602.25. I have service records of the vehicle from the past owner and the past owner had the driver side front actuator replaced and the rear actuator was looked at but not replaced. I read the class action law suit and it says, "for all settlement class vehicles, hond

I have a 2008 Honda cr-v and my rear door unlocks itself automatically. For a while I was able to get it to lock manually, by lock door button, but no longer. Now every time I start to proceed on green light/signal, my car thinks the doors are not locked, and automatically re-locks the 3 working doors, as well. My car is now out of warranty and I saw over the internet that so many customers is having this problem in their cr-v. *js
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Honda cr-v. The contact stated that the driver's side passenger door latch failed. The contact was unable to latch the door manually and the door also failed to latch with the master latch door system. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 161,250.
Tl*the contact owns a 2008 Honda cr-v. Page 307 of the contact's vehicle owners manual, entitled "tire chain", states that in inclement weather conditions, the tire chains can be placed on the front driver's side tires to assist with driving. After the contact placed the chains on the vehicle, the electronic monitoring system activates braking and traction. The failure sporadically causes a loss of control that frequently results in 180 degree turns. The failure occurred during relatively low speeds and was noticed while driving 10 MPH. The dealer stated that if something was wrong, a warning indicator should illuminate on the instrument control panel. The contact stated that there were no warning indicators illuminated prior to or during the failures. The manufacturer did not assis
Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Honda cr-v. The child safety seat is a 2008 dorel eddie bauer child restraint seat, model number 22-865 -chl. The infant was properly secured in a forward facing "convertible" child restraint seat. However, the child was able to remove the lower portion of the harness without assistance. The child restraint seat was installed using the latch system. She was in the process of notifying the manufacturer of the failure. The VIN was unavailable.
The locks on the Honda cr-v 2008 are defective and can pose a serious safety issue. The locks on the door lock at will, won't unlock when I try to unlock them, and lock while I'm driving and/or putting the reverse. Passengers cannot get out of the car, even after I press the unlock button on both the door and the key. I fear that my toddler is going to get locked into the vehicle and/or trapped in if we are in an accident. This is a recurring problem that started just a few months after I bought the vehicle and many other Honda cr-v owners are reporting the same issue, yet Honda has not issued a recall for these defective locks. Please address this issue as a safety issue and urge them to recall these locks. *tr

Takata recall I am following up on NHTSA complaint # 10881965. It was submitted in july 2016. The complaint pertained to Honda's air bag recall notice received in march 2016. Nothing has been done to date. Also, we have not heard from the NHTSA since submitting a complaint (see complaint number above) .
I rear ended vehicle which hit other vehicles and my air bag exploded leaving a horrible chemical burn on my hand resulting in a scar. *tr

2008 cr-v subframe/rear control arm rusted so severely came apart while driving. Very fortunate there was not an accident, this caused sudden loss of control of vehicle. Had to be towed and is now inoperable and unable to be repaired. There is a recall in canada to address this condition, why not the united states? We contacted Honda customer service to inquire and no response from them. This is a very dangerous condition that gave no warning. The body is not rusted.
Honda body shop switched and stripped components/ parts of my vehicle when State Farm Adjustor wrote the repair assessment like it was in a high speed head on collision when it was actually a left side fender bender. That’s fraud… but nonetheless, State Farm agreed to fix the car. It’s a Honda CR/V that has had the engine replaced now but it’s having drivetrain issues. It rattles and violently vibrates upon takeoff (Automatic transmission) and when going uphill. It has electrical problems due to rodent chewing soy based electrical wires. I’ve replaced myself many components such as axle CV, electrical, fans, air conditioner, starters (3 in past two years) and basically had to rebuild the entire front end because the Honda body shop was using my car for a parts car. The tips of the windshield washer fluid dispenser freezes in really cold temperatures and didn't unfreeze until the temperature got to 44 degrees. So we drove over one hour in the snow with no windshield washer fluid and couldn't see out the front windshield with all the dirty snow and mud smearing on the windshield. We put fresh water on the windshield but that kept it clean for about one mile only. This was driving on hwy. 80 in the sierra's. It was very scary and dangerous.

The tailgate and rear passenger side door will lock and cannot be unlocked. This has happened twice. The first time in november 2015 stayed locked for two days. The second time was december 19, 2015 and stayed locked for four hours. The dealership says cannot determine problem as by the time of appointment the doors had unlocked. The american Honda corp says can only be fixed if able to take vehicle to dealership while locked. The locking of doors occurs when stopping and getting ready to get out of vehicle. The actuator of the drivers door and passenger door have been changed, one covered by Honda, most recent I had to pay. Honda corp does not have info of possible problem fixed on other vehicles so I could tell dealership.
