While traveling on the highway at about 70 MPH, the engine stalled and shut down. I had to pull over to the side and restart the car to continue. I've had similar issues with this vehicle dozens of times and I fear that one day it will cause an accident when it shuts down on me. The dealer seems to not know what to do about it and I'm scared that I'll get hurt driving the car. *tr
This vehicle has been to the dealer and corporate has been notified. The situation starts when the weather is below freezing or snowing then turns to rain. The sunroof drain does not work properly causing water to pour out of the center ceiling map lights, the garage door control panel, the driver side column, and the handle to get into the vehicle. This causes a major distraction while driving and also can cause severe electrical damage, water damage to the interior and mold/mildew build up. . Corporate claims they know nothing about this situation however currently there is a class action lawsuit vs Chrysler corporation regarding this issue with many different models with the same issue. 2008 Jeep grand cherokee stalls at high speeds and intermittently while driving. Dealer unable to fix thus far ( has car for almost 30 days). In addition, same thing happened on my 2007 model and has happened to a number of people I know with Jeep grand cherokees. Internet is filed with reports of same events happening at random. Mine stalled at 65 MPH - all electric, radio, flashers, everything just goes out. Very scary and very unsafe. Please evaluate. *tr

The engine stalls intermittently from time to time shutting the car down. It usually happens while coming to a stop or at rest. In september of 2012 it happened on the highway going at 65 MPH and I had to bring the vehicle to the curb to restart it. It always restarts easily. I have taken it to the dealer and they can not figure it out. *tr
Sudden acceleration/ loss of brakes. Vehicle accelerated to full throttle while entering from freeway onramp. The driver took foot off accelerator and vehicles accelerator pedal continued to move downward to full throttle and would not decelerate after an attempt to "pump" the accelerator pedal to try and get the pedal to release. The automobile was then put in neutral and the engine would not slow down in" RPM's". The brakes were applied and an attempt was made to stop the vehicle and the brakes were not functioning properly with the automobile coming to a very long and slow stop white trying to maneuver the automobile to the side of the road. Once the vehicle was brought to a stop the motor was still at an extreme "RPM" level. The motor was turned off at the ignition switch and the engin

Driving approximately 55 MPH on interstate, vehicle suddenly lost power and steering control tightened. Gas gauge went to e, MPH went to 0. Vehicle started immediately after it came to a stop. Took vehicle to dealership and they could not duplicate the problem. Was not satisfied with having my Jeep returned to me without identifying solution. Mechanic's best guess was that he could replace power module - total integrated power module was what mechanic replaced. Well, Jeep stopped five additional times in last 21 days. Four out of five times, vehicle shut down on a slight decline (neighborhood dip or exiting gas station). Vehicle did start immediately after it came to a stop. Dealership still cannot duplicate the problem. Frustrated with not having my primary family vehicle available. *kb

My Wireless Ignition Node is showing a failure. Key Fob not recognized and displays unknown key warning. Leading to the failure, the key would get stuck in the start position and I had to manually return the key to the on position. The front calipers had also recently been replaced when my mechanic noticed it was defective. All of these incidents occured before I was aware there were any recalls on the vehicle, but now that I am aware; all of the incidents leading up to the WIN failure make more sense. I brought my concerns to the dealer and they were of no help in resolving my issue. My mechanic, in his best opinion, also believes these issues should be considered under the recall for the Ignition system relating to the recall.

When filling up my Jeep with gas the filler neck over flows every single time and I heard the counterparts on the Dodge durango is having the same issue and there is a recall on them fixing the same issue. This is a huge environmental hazard and since other Jeep owners I know with the same make and model are having the same issue.
