2008 Lincoln MKX owner complaints

I am alarmed that nearly two years after a recall that the Lincoln motor company has yet to secure replacement parts for the air bag inflator. Their remedy is just don't use the front passenger seat. This is not really a solution.

Takata recall received recall notice in july 2016 and as of yet Ford has not notified me that parts are available to fix this serious safety issue.

Twice this auto was taken to granite Ford, rochester, nh. I was told they have not received the "parts" yet and that Ford motor corp. Has not even received this replacement.-most recent 11/28/2017. This is where I purchased the car-I am 82 years old and cannot drive to a dealer in manchester etc.

Received safety recall notice. Tried to get appointments with east carolina auto and truck center, greenville, nc, for the past year or so. Have tried to get it fixed numerous times, but received the same response, "they don't have the parts yet."

Engine started to miss and lost power had to pull off road immediately. Coil shorted out so badly mechanic said it could have caught fire! Date of trouble 12-26-15. After spending $1600 to replace all 6 coils per the tsb requirements and spark plugs etc still not working because of bad PCM unit that has to be fixed and reprogrammed! Another $1100! Please consider this a safety hazard! I was a single woman driving my car and thank god it wasn't at night! This could easily have resulted ina fire and further damage to the vehicle. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Lincoln mkx. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 5 MPH, the accelerator pedal was engaged repeatedly but the vehicle failed to accelerate over 5 MPH. The vehicle stalled and the vehicle was able to restart. The failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that a sensor on the transmission failed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. Driving down the highway and transmission shift to low by itself. It almost caused me to get it. The ptu is leaking transmission fluid. Youneverknow when it is low. This car had this problem since it was manufactured and they never fixed the problem. It needs to be fixed and needs a heat shield between the ptu and the engine to keep it from leaking and causing dangerous situations on the road. The car smokes so bad that it looks like it is on fire. Scared to drive because I never know what will happen if the fluid is low. You can see the leak from the ptu under the car. The contact owns a 2008 Lincoln MKX. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel-burning odor on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, the abnormal fuel-burning odor was on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. While the contact was attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel tank had fractured and was leaking fuel. The contact stated that prior to the fai
