Coolant tank and pump had to be replaced after learning that oil was leaking into the tank. Eurofix in nashville tn stated its going to always happen. I will have to have it flushed every 3,000 miles due to the leakage is non repairable. Steering pump had to be replaced just found out there was a recall on the part. Am I able to be reimbursed via the Mercedes manufacturer? This car should be replaced with all the issues that I'm having with a better model.
This vehicle has a balance shaft and intake manifold issue as well as a air suspension problem. Both problems are a manufacture defect that is common in other mb r350 vehicles. Mb accepts that this vehicle model have a conglomerate of problems and is not taking responsibility to create a recall. This vehicle is always maintain and service by an authorized mb dealer and they insure that in any of the previous services the diagnosis was never identified or mention. The low suspension is a safety issue that may cause the wheels to rub against the fenders and cause driver to loose control. The balance shaft may cause the engine to loose power and create a rear ending crash. *tr 10/01/2012 *js updated

Groaning sound from steering while turning , leakage of power steering fluid requiring complete replacement of the steering box assembly. *tr
My Mercedes r350 sporadically becomes very difficult to steer. I noticed that this happens after a few minutes of city street driving. The steering gets so tight that it requires both hands and a lot of effort to just steer the wheel particularly when parking. Because of this constant battle with the steering wheel I started feeling pain on my shoulder. The steering wheel fluid level is fine and the car has never been in any accident. I called Mercedes benz after finding out that there has been a recall on the 2008 r350s for the same problem but I was told that my car is not part of the recalled batch based on my VIN#. Maybe there is just not enough complaints yet for my 'batch' that they refuse to fix the very same problem that they issued a recall for. My car is the same model, manufact
Car occasionally difficult to steer after driving for distance in mountains. Fluid levels appear to be ok but passerby's tell me they can hear steering noise that I do not hear inside when driving. I saw that there is recall for this vehicle and steering rack pin- wondering if my vehicle is part of recall to be repaired by Mercedes.

Hi I received a letter from Mercedes for a stop drive recall (NHTSA #22V315, MBUSA ID: 2022050014 & 2022050015), so I bought my Mercedes R350 to the shop for repair on July 15, 2022. Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton (925463-2525) claimed that brake booster parts were not available at that time and I couldn't drive the car, so they left the car at the shop waiting for the parts to become available. Later on when I called, the service rep claimed the parts had been ordered so kept my car in their lot (since July 15, 2022) Since then, I have been on the rental car (that I am still paying for) and I reached out to them multiple times and couldn't get a status update from them, nor schedule for my car return. I Hope NHTSA can help me to receive an update of my recalled vehicle, and their soluti

Electrical wiring around headlamps is crumbling and exposing large lengths of bare wires, with up to about 6" of copper wiring exposed in the engine compartment. I replaced a burned out halogen headlamp in june, the other one in august, and the first one went out again about a week ago (and this rate of headlamp replacement is more or less typical; I keep two spares in my car at all times, as burnouts are so frequent). The bare wires may be contributing to the extremely short bulb life and could also cause arcing and potentially an engine fire. Although an engine fire has not happened yet, the arcing is extremely likely. However, the area where this occurs is so has extremely restricted access and direct vision into and around the headlamp mount is not possible. Only upon inserting my iph

The dealer stated that the vehicle needed to be further diagnosed to service the engine. The dealer serviced the engine and found that the vehicle drove roughly. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The dealer then indicated that the engine assembly needed to be replaced.
