"takata recall" I was driving down the highway and stop for the red light, the light turned green and I went to pull into the intersection for a left turn and my car would not move. I was lucky I was not rear ended by the cars behind me. I had my car towed to the dealer. The diagnosis was internal transmission failure. I also had the same diagnosis back in 2013 with a whistling and knocking sound. It was called a CVT problem but in 2013 it was still under extended warranty so a new transmission was put in free of charge. This time I am ask to pay for a transmission out of pocket that I know is defective and it will cause a serious accident one day. My car is at hudson Nissan charleston sc 29406 with a price tag of $5101.00.

The transmission would not downshift unless it was put into manual mode, vehicle went beyond red line. There wasn't any correlation between speed and acceleration methods. Every now and then a loud thump noise is heard from the transmission. This has happened at various intervals, dealer was unable to reproduce the last time it was brought in. *tr

I had a Nissan rogue CVT transmission issue last year. Our car had multiple acceleration issues that we got lucky we didn't have any accidents. One of many issue was on labor day weekend we decided to go on a vacation to relax after days and weeks of hard work at the office. Again our vacation was cut short. It took us 6 hours to drive a 2.5 hour drive. I had to stop, let the transmission cool down and drive again with a speed of less than 50mph sometimes taking the streets to keep the speed down. I took the car to the dealer, under warranty, they wanted to do a few minor services. They told me that they had fixed the problem and that there wouldn't be any more issues. It happened again and again. Finally, I opened a case through Nissan and got my car a new transmission. The transmissio

On dec 12, 2011 at 0500 am my 2009 2008 Nissan rogue had a keyless entry rollaway. The car was turned off and rolled away causing car and property damage (damage to the car door) after turning off my engine I left the car, leaving the car door open and the car rolled away. I believe that this is a major design flaw of keyless entry cars and that it is the responsibility of both the ntsb and Nissan to personally notify people of this major design flaw and to provide corrective action to avoid repeated accidents. Some sort of "fix" such as an automatic lock should prevent the vehicle from leaving rolling away when the car engine is turned off. In reviewing the info available from ntsb I noted that this is a design flaw that has been noted in similar cases involving rollaway accidents

With approximately 500 miles on my new 2008 Nissan rogue, the passenger air bag light starting flashing. It was determined on december 26, 2007 that I needed an airbag control module. The part is out of stock and is on back order. Current estimated release date of the replacement part is january 4, 2008. In the interim, my car is just sitting in the dealers service lot awaiting repair. I have been unable to use my car, other than drive it back to the Nissan dealer since december 17, 2007. *tr

My mother in law was driving on wednesday last at around 35 MPH. It was raining and for no apparent reason the side curtain airbags deployed. It was taken to the dealership and they told the insurance adjuster that this was due to a collision even though there was no collision. The car doesn't have a dent on it anywhere. The technician said that the underside of the car was "all beat up". Having been an ASE certified mechanic, I don't recall any airbag sensors underneath the car. They are making her insurance pay to correct it.

Cold day in nyc. The 2008 Nissan rogue driver's side door fails to open. At first I used the keyless entry system. Then I tried to use the key and it will still not open. I had to go around the passenger side to get into the driver's seat. This is a safety issue especially at nights and dimlit areas. I had this problem before on the passenger side and took it to the dealer. They charged me $250 to fix problem even though this new model is supposed to be under warranty. Nissan needs to address this issue. I will never purchase a Nissan again. *tr

Driving on a busy expressway, there was suddenly a loud clanging under the chassis. I started driving slowly and again there was an extremely loud banging against the chassis. Pulled of the expressway when the car suddenly started slowing down. When I started to pull into the first minimall I could find, the car started moving backwards and none of the gears would work. Could not take my foot off the brake as the car continued to go reverse into traffic. Finally after getting assistance from several people helping me get the car into the parking lot, I was able to be towed to my garage, where it was discovered that the drive shaft had broken off, knocking off a piece of the od sensor and then knocked out the exhaust pipe which then snapped off the shift assembly cable and all the gea

My daughter was driving home on a highway and luckily was able to pull over and get out safely. The car was purchased through a reseller of preowned Nissan's and this never should have happened. *tr
