2008 Nissan Titan owner complaints

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Nissan titan. While driving approximately 45 MPH, the contact crashed the vehicle into another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was inspected by the insurance company and towed away from the scene. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 96,000.

Air bag light on indicating airbag malfunction. *tr

While driving down the road a pot hole was hit and the center cap of steering wheel split as if airbag should have deployed.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Nissan titan. While driving different speeds and upon starting the vehicle, a noise was detected from the front passenger side of the vehicle. The contact also mentioned that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to grainger Nissan (1550 chatham pkwy, savannah, ga 31408, (912) 480-6996) where it was diagnosed that the manifold needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 167,000.

Exhaust leak at manifold on both sides of the engine. There is a significant crack in the manifold that is a defect and causes gases to escape into engine compartment and into the cab. *tr

I bought a brand new 2008 Nissan titan crew cab truck back in sep 2007 no later then 3 months later it started to make a funny noise that I was uncertain of so I called the dealer ship immediately and made an appointment to get it looked at the first time was back in dec 06,2007 left the truck in the dealers ships hands they had my vehicle for 2 days when I came back to pick up my truck dec 08,2007 they had explained to me that they could not find the problem they explained to me that they did the 7,500 maintenance and also changed out my timing belts maybe that would be the issue so I took the truck home the next day the noise was still there so then I made another appointment the available appointment they had and was offered to me was april 11,2008 now this is when the 3,000 maintenan

We just took our 2008 Nissan titan into have oil changed we had just gotten the vehicle a couple days before and found out that the exhaust manifolds were cracked with only 66k miles on it! This truck is in excellent condition with no tow package and not used for hauling or heavy work. We had no idea this was a problem with the vehicles or we wouldn't have bought one. There are many people online complaining about this now that I have looked up the exact problem which I didn't know existed. Please make this a recall. I have heard that "their fix" doesn't work and will crack again. *tr

2008 Nissan titan le 4x4 long wheel base...knocking sound began while my husband was driving on the interstate 55-70 MPH. Next day a whine developed on acceleration / deceleration. Noted leaks at front and rear seals on differentials. Took to dealer; without removing inspection covers diagnosed failed rear assembly. Stated fairly common - told to pursue my complaint for assistance from Nissan north america customer service. Fluids added -- when my husband left the dealership the whining deteriorated into a constant banging consistent with speed. Husband was close to home and drove the vehicle at 30 MPH to our driveway. Takata inflators when turning the key it makes a faint click it does not start but when I try it again then it will start the truck is stationary.

Driving 55mph and transmission slips all of a sudden. No warning lights - nothing. Next smoke rolls out under hood - pull off road/stop. Look under vehicle and it's covered with transmission fluid. Towed to dealer for repair - said transmission is shot. $5000 to replace. Vehicle has 85,000 miles. Had transmission services last year by Nissan dealer. Hearing problem may be because of radiator. Dealer and Nissan headquarters offered no assistance whatsoever.

Hose came loose from transmission driving down highway and left me sit in the middle of the road. I had no warning and I lost all transmission fluid.. I reattatched the hose added the correct amount of fluid. Drove it for about 4 day everything was fine try to go ro work there is no 4th gear.. Take it to shops ro find out its gonna cost me 4500.00 for new transmission capacitor and new radiator.. The anti freeze leaked into transmission causing the inside of tranny to be deatroyed

2008 Nissan titan has a large knock in the front suspension when going over bumps and or hills when driving the posted speed limit. The truck was taken to the Nissan dealership many times until Nissan finally decided to post a tsb. The tsb states to replace the front springs on 2008-2010 titans with springs from 2007 titans which will lower the front of the truck by 1.5 inches. My truck is now an eye sore by having an unbalanced rake when looking at the truck from front to back and still knocks heavily when going over bumps and or hills. Nissan admits the issue is present but state they do not have a fix. *tr

Vehicle has a vibration/shaking problem. At 55mph the bed shakes. At 65mph there is a vibration that causes the passenger seat to shake. It gets worse. At 70mph the whole vehicle shakes. *tr

My truck's front suspension makes noise especially when it goes over speed bumps. It's been making noise for maybe since 2010 years and we have got it checked but the service guys says it's fine. The tires, rotations, service has always been well kept.

Passenger side window has came off track and fell into door panel. There is no way to open door to get to window to put back on track to raise window

The heat works on and off. After the truck is warmed up, the heat will not work. This happens frequently while using the heat. *tr

White patches appeared all around the truck within a week parked in my driveway. Spots and patches on hood,fenders, roof, tailgate and doors

Taking off from a stop sign the rear end broke and was undriveable. Putting in park did not prevent truck from rolling and had to be towed. *tt

Sending unit for my Nissan titan failed, vehicle stopped. Was in traffic and became stranded for 1hr. I bought vehicle new and have only 20,000 miles. Was towed($95) and still under warranty. Spoke to a co-worker with the same vehicle, that had the same incident to occur. *tr
