2008 Saturn outlook wiring harness on headlight overheated and headlight no longer works. Already had at service center twice. Paid for replacement headlight which went out a day or two later; then paid for a diagnosis. Already pulled over twice by law enforcement for having headlight out. *tr

Low beam headlights continue to go out after replacing with new ones. Has happened parked once but usually occures accelerating after being stopped or after driving distances more than 30 miles. This started back in early 2014 and has continually gotten more and more frequent. Other various electrical problems keep occuring such as lights dimming while driving (interior dash) and climate control setting changing to what I can presume are default settings (74 deg for both driver and passenger side turning on)

Our 2008 Saturn just had to have the driver's side low lamp headlight fixed. Melted harness piece. We had to pay for this one because we are out of warranty time (60k miles). The passenger side lamp went out while under warranty. It's ridiculous that we just spent $279 to have a light repaired that seems to be a recurring problem with saturns... Before that we had the whole passenger side airbag light problem. The car doesn't sense when someone is sitting in the front passenger seat. Dealership said car is out of warranty and it will cost us because it's probably a faulty sensor. This is our second outlook. Lemon-lawed the 2007 and thought we'd give them another chance. Not smart on our part in retrospect! *tr

The sunroof leaks when it is closed, and this is causing water to come in to the roof of the vehicle. Water is coming in from the front air bags, the windshield, under the dash, out of the garage door opener, the visor, and the back seat belts. I now have to replace the body control module which is related to the water damaging the unit. I am fearful the with the water getting in by the airbags that if I get into an accident they will malfunction. I have also been receiving messages about servicing the stabilitrac, but when I have had it looked at the mechanic can't find anything wrong, so this could also be related to the body control module.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Saturn outlook. The contact stated that the sun roof leaked each time it rained. The water traveled across the top of the vehicle, onto the windshield, and into the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to stuteville Chevrolet Buick GMC of ponca city (3330 n 14th st, ponca city, ok 74601, (580) 749-5976) where the body control was replaced; however, the failure continued. The contact stated that the vehicle needed a new battery due to the water that was leaking onto the battery. The battery was replaced. The contact also stated that the ppm chip for the air bag was missing, which caused the air bag warning indicator to illuminate. The contact stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v118000 (air bags). The contact also stated that the vehicle

The daytime running lights have stopped working. My wife normally drives this vehicle and told me about it this week. I understand the headlight wiring harness are too small and need to changed out to a bigger gauge wire.

Spontaneous low beam headlight failures due to wiring harness defect. Headlight socket harness & wiring was melted. Passenger side failed in october 2010. Driver side failed in december 2010. In both cases the gm dealer needed to replace harness & bulb. *tr

I have replaced the low beam light in my 2008 Saturn outlook twice in the past month and it's out again. After researching this matter online, I now see that this is a common problem and I feel that gm needs to investigate these complaints immediately and issue a recall to correct this matter before this causes someone to get hurt or killed. Someone needs to stand behind their product. *tr

Vehicle lost speed on freeway and driver control panel lite up with error messages (stabilitrak, traction control, engine reduced power, and emission control warnings). Onstar ran diagnostic with multilpe error codes and had to have vehicle towed to delarship. The dealership stated that the valve covers were leaking and oil was all over the throttle body. Extended warranty will only over throttle body and not valve cover since gm re-designed the valve covers! Obviously gm knows the valve covvers fail!! My portion of repair is $1100. Again just outside of 5 year powertrain warranty. *tr

While driving the transmission started slipping and had gone completely out. The cost to repair this will be around 3500 dollars. This is absurd considering how new the car is. *tr

On november 28, 2013 we experienced our first symptom that something was not quite right on our 2008 Saturn outlook. Upon acceleration our car started to rev excessively at around 35-40 MPH. We were able to continue to drive and the vehicle seemed to switch gears ok in every other gear...but really struggled when in the lower gears. We brought it into to see if possibly it just needed to have the transmission flushed and were advised against doing that. Instead, they topped of the transmission fluid and our vehicle seemed to run smoothly for exactly one week. And than boom, we had the exact same symptom where the vehicle could not shift out of lower gears and this time it had a burning type smell. I went online and, to my surprise, found page and page of discussions surrounding trans

3 weeks ago the dealership replaced my ECM because the check engine light came on and the vehicle was stalling. On monday, my husband talked to the dealership because it started not shifting properly. They said due to the holiday they couldn't see us until thursday. Within minutes if the conversation, the vehicle stopped shifting all together...no check engine light; nothing. Using onstar, we have it towed to the dealership. Tuesady we receive a call and are told it is $1600 to replace a "ball" in the transmission. Oops, they forgot the tax in the first quote; now $1800! We get a loan to have it fixed. Thursday we receive a call and now there are metal shavings in our fluid they didn't see before and it is going to be $4300 for a re-manufactured transmission. The service agent a

I had just pulled out on a interstate highway, and the vehicle acted like it did not want to shift gears. The check engine light came on and I could not accelerate any faster than 40 MPH. I pulled off the side of the road and waited on a tow vehicle. The steering has been very stiff also in the last few months. *tr
