Takata recall gm is not providing replacement airbags
Takata airbag inflators recall were received by me since may 2016. I have been checking with the dealership since then and am told they do not have the parts or are unaware of what to fix as nothing is on their bulletin advising them what to do. I am unable to get the recall scheduled due to this, and am concerned that by being unable to have the recall taken care of, presents a life threatening situation and daily danger to me with driving on the road with defective airbags.

My vehicle stopped unexpectedly on the freeway while driving. I had my wife and 3. Kids in the car. I drifted then put the car in park while moving and restarted it. My windshield wipers do not stay on they wipe once then shut off.

Transmission downshifts hard at about 20mph, going from second to first. Initially only occurred at this scenario however it is occurring at normal shifting up and down. Had a 2008 that experienced the same downshifting problem. Vehicle has about 165k miles and has not been used for hauling.

While driving approximately between 55-60 MPH, the driver side rear tire suddenly exploded without warning. The vehicle was driven to the side of the road. The defective tire was replaced with the spare. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they offered to replace the tire.
