My dash board and panels are cracked and falling apart. Dealer cannot replace air bags without doing more damage to dashboard and will not be responsible. Only 52000 miles On this Vehicle and dash board is cracked and broken. A compliant has been filed several years ago for a cracked dash.

Airbag light on airbags disabled safety concern vehicle is not as potentially as safe as it was designed to be. The sdm (airbag module) has water intrusion and caused corrosion inside the sdm and caused the circuit board to burn out no fuses were blown which is a concern as well because the board had burn components from the water intrusion. Gm had a previous recall on this problem it appears this vehicle had the recall as it had the jute from the carpet removed from this area above the sdm this recall was purposively a canada recall 09270c - material over sensing and diagnostic module I talked to gm about this they will do nothing for this even though they know of a problem this is a real safety concern not only for the airbag but for the module burning up the circuit board as

Takata recall... Went to ron carter autoland in alvin, tx. They looked up the VIN number and I was told there was no fix for this problem. They handed me the paper that was it.

I first received recall information in the mail pertaining to the airbags on my vehicle at the end of 2017. Around the same time the service airbag light on my dashboard appeared and has remained displayed since. I have periodically checked whether a remedy to the recall has been established, but to date there has not been one. I am now seeing commercials for attorney services regarding injuries due to defective airbags in vehicles in my make, model, and year. Seeing as my service airbag light is already lit up, I would like to avoid an injury to myself or a passenger in my vehicle.

I currently own a 2009 Chevrolet silverado ltz crew cab with approximately 96k miles I have owned this car for about a year now since purchasing a noticed a crack on the driver side dashboard under the instrument cluster and on the passenger side next to the passenger air bag. Also the two door handles one being the driver front and the other being passenger front the chrome finish seems to be defective and not staying adhered o the handle and come off in sharp edges making it easy to cut you hand. As the dealership knows this is a defect in the manufacture they used on these trucks the 2 issues on here are not just on 1 vehicle but numerous silverado tahoes and trucks with the same dash and handles. It seems like they pose a safety issue because the handle may cut you and the dash may
I noticed that the that the console under the steering column started to crack. Nothing happened to cause the issue at all. Then about a year later I noticed that the dashboard near the airbag on the passenger side also began to crack. Of course at this time the vehicle was out of warranty, and I would have to repair out of pocket if I wanted fixed. There are several other things like the automatic lock actuator malfunctioned. I am really disappointed in this particular year workmanship. For this reason, I have recently purchased another vehicle, and did not consider Chevy at all. They need to step up and fix this issue. Purchased used vehicle from dealer (daniels Chevrolet, Buick, GMC trucks, inc. Swainsboro, ga) and after sale discovered emission system was disabled and DPF (diesel particulate filter) had been physically removed; probably by previous owner.
Dash is cracked over passenger air bag ,also cracked in center of dash, and cracked on driver side.

I hear a high pitched whining noise under the hood. Varies with engine RPM, vehicle can be parked and you'll still hear it. Only happens in extreme cold situations, usually sub zero. I live in fairbanks. Other than the noise, vehicle operates just fine. It can be quite loud. This problem is intermittent. Haven't been able to make it to the dealership while it's happening. Dealership suggested changing the heat setting from floor/dash to just floor. That fixes it. Apparently this isn't enough info for them as they don't know what to fix. I wanted this on record in the event something broke just after it went out of warranty. Currently approaching 25k miles on the truck. *tr
