Vehicle will stall without warning for no apparent reason at any speed. On oct 3, 2014 I was taking my child to school when the car stalled in an intersection. After the light turned green I proceeded to the intersection and stalled upon entering the intersection. I was able to put the car in neutral and restart within ~10 seconds. This issue repeated itself at least twice while en route from my home to a nearby service shop (foltz auto) which determined there was no issue the battery or ignition. On 10/5/14 I took the vehicle to heritage Chrysler (21234) and had the car serviced for two reasons: the main reason was the above issue and a secondary issue was the main odometer (not the trip odometer) at some point had reset itself leaving a display of an incorrect mileage much l

I was driving home my wife, daughter and my pregnant wife, when about 1/2 from home a dark black smoke came out of the engine compartment, I pulled over and pulled the hood latch, and after I was able to get my family out of the car, I looked underneath the car,a dark fluid was pouring on top of the exhaust. The car had to be towed to the mechanic. After an inspection, he found that the power transfer case unit cracked. Had to pay out of pocket since dealer said that it wasn't under warranty and that's normal wear for these vehicle. $1350 for transfer case, $85 tow truck and $450 labor. *tr
While making a left hand turn, I felt the car jerk several times as though I was using anti-lock brakes. This was confusing since I did not even have my foot on the brake. Seconds later I heard an almost grinding or dragging noise. I pulled over into the first empty lot I found and checked the tires, got down and checked under the car for anything hanging that could have been dragging on the ground, found nothing that looked out of the ordinary. I thought then that there may have been snow or ice around the tires since it had snowed the night before. I proceeded to get back into the car and drove approximately three minutes and the noise got louder. I drove to my mechanic which was another 5 minutes away. He was amazed that the power train seemed to explode from the inside out. In

My 2009 Dodge journey AWD sxt locking mechanism stopped working. It worked all day then all the sudden the key fobs stopped working. It will turn the alarm on and off but will not lock and unlock my doors. The driver and passenger side locks won't work either. I can not use my hatch because it will not unlock. I now have to manually lock my doors from the inside and lean my seat back and crawl to the back to unlock my back doors. I use the manual door key to get in my car now. All electrical buttons on my driver side door will not work. I can not control my locks, windows or side mirrors. On top of that my car will not start all the time only when it chooses to. I have already replaced the battery twice since I've owned the vehicle. Also had key fobs replaced last year. I hope someone can
2009 Dodge journey - had a complete brake replacement (rotors turned, pads replaced) at 25000 (february 2010) and now at 53000 we have been told all rotors need to be replace, the front right rotor is cracked, all break pads need to be replaced. Called Chrysler tonight 12/27/2010 at 7:05 pm and they no reports of problems with the Dodge journeys and brake/rotor problems. They advised us to get the vehicle repaired at a Chrysler dealership and have them send it in to corporate. They may pay for the replacement - they have not paid for anyone's replacements nor have they issued a recall. This is my second lemon from Chrysler/Dodge the first was a Chrysler 300 when the front end would not stay in alignment. Please do something about this corporation. Lots of americans are being victimize

At 2000 miles on my 2009 Dodge journey I started having problems with my front passenger window sticking, and brakes squeaking. Also car not shifting when taking off and when you slow down and try to speed back up. I took it in. They told me maybe sap in window and brakes fine. Three days later window acting up again. Took it in. Same reason. Cleaned and greased. This is the eight time I've taken it in. They have replaced motors, switches, tracks, seals and now wont roll up or down . The brakes have been an issue since the start. At 21000 miles the dealer tells me I need new pad and rotors. Take it to brake shop and they tell me all I need is pad. Brakes working fine right now but still squeak every now and then. They have replaced electrical harnesses that may catch on fire.
