I parked my 2009 Honda crv in my garage and when I came out the next day the battery was dead. I put it on a charger, and when I came out to check it 2 hours later I noticed that the lights were on while the light switch was of off. I tried to start it again but the battery was still dead, but the lights still on. Its obvious that there seem to be something wrong. I'd like to know why would the lights go on,. On their own. *tr

My front passenger seat weight sensor is faulty and shows as "OFF" when a large passenger is in the seat. An independent service center has scanned and confirmed the faulty sensor. I see CRV recalls for both the sensors and airbags, but my VIN does not return a result.

The locks on all the doors in my 2009 Honda CR-V EX have been randomly clicking on and off as I drive for the last 6 months. One day I parked the car and tried to open the door and it was locked and I could not unlock it from the inside, I re-inserted the key into the ignition and the alarm horn started sounding but I was able to open the door and exit the car. The internet shows that there was a class-action suit settlement for 2008-2011 regarding the door locks that expired in 2015. I contacted the dealership and they said since my VIN was not listed on their website, they would charge me $175.00 to diagnose the problem and then would let me know if they could fix it so I followed the dirctions on the web-site to file a complaint with NHTSA. @ the door locks randomly swtich on and off

We have replaced the low beam headlights in this car at least 9 times since purchasing it in 2010. Twice in the past year and the bulbs just burnt out again while my wife was driving home from work today in the dark. We have purchases OEM, aftermarket, long life etc with the same result. The car was moving this time when the lights burned out. This vehicle is mostly driven on the highway about 100 miles a day, which is where my wife was today, at aproximately 70 MPH. The 2002-2004 cr-v had a recall and this issue is all over the internet but there is zero resolution. Every dealership I call say they have not seen this, which is hard to believe considering the information out on the web. This is a serious issue.

Takata recall I was involved in an accident on 11-12-2016. The seatbelt tightened and the airbags only partially deployed. The vehicle was stopped when hit. You could smell the residue from the bags but neither of the front bags actually popped out.

Takata recall. Rcvd letter from Honda 3/28/16, saying continued driving was dangerous. Yet parts were not available. I've called my local Honda dealer in the interim and parts are still not available. This is unsatisfactory. If they can build and sell new cars that have safe airbag systems, they should be able to fix their unsafe items that were sold to consumers. *tr

I took my 2009 Honda CRV in for a recall. In salt belt states where de-icing agents are used to maintain the roadway, the de-icing agents, along with mud and dirt, could enter the rear frame through the rear frame drainage points. This could cause the rear trailing arm to come off. The dealership ended up attaching a bracket that is supposed to keep me safe. My problem is that the bracket is attached to a highly corroded area of my vehicle (as shown in the attached pictures) When I brought this up they only stated that as long as the one bolt was able to be replaced then that is all they are required to do. I feel that the bracket should at least be attached to solid metal. Also, now I have to have the bracket removed again so I can get the frame repaired (even though the recall specifical

The car started to leak oil at about 55000 miles. The oil leaks between engine and transmission. The Honda dealer checked and said it may be caused by the gallery bolt and seal, the part numbers are 12208-p8c-a01 and 90401-pr4-000 and the transmission has to be removed to replace them, it's 16 hours' work. It's so unreliable and costly to fix.

Ice build up on the windshield of the passenger side occurs whenever there is snow or freezing rain. This has been a constant problem since the car was new. Even with the defroster on the highest setting this occurs. I bought an AWD vehicle as I live in vermont so expected a defroster that would perform under freezing conditions. While driving on snow or ice, the ice build up on the windshield affects visibility so greatly that I have to stop driving and try to break up ice on the windshield and wipers. This is not safe to do during bad weather. *tr

My Honda crv 2009 with 15,300 miles began developing a roar in the right rear tire. I had the tires rotated and the roar moved to left front. I told the dealer it sounds like a tread separating, and his mechanic agreed. We were going on a long trip and (I was a mechanic for 40 years) I decided for safety reasons to replaced all four bridgestone dullers with goodyear. *tr
