"Hyundai recall" a couple years ago I was driving on the highway and my driver side sun visor fell down and blocked my view of driving. It was an uncomfortable situation because I had to hold up the visor while I was driving the rest of the way home, thankfully it was not a much more dangerous situation. Eventually when I got home, I tried to fix it myself, and it held up for a while, but eventually fell off again, so I ended up having to rip it off altogether since it was such an impairment whilst driving. A few months later the same thing happened to the left side visor and luckily I was at my grandpas house and he figured out how to take the visor off without ripping it off, so the wiring clips are still intact. Now that I am more knowledgeable about cars I was just going to buy new vi

Drivers side visor fell down to block view of road. Will not stay up any more. Had to use velcro to hold up but gives way on hot days. *tr
While driving, I pulled down the sun visor to shield my vision from the sun. I heard a strange cracking noise and the sun visor became very floppy. It will no longer stay in the up position, and this posed a visibility problem, and so I was forced to remove the sun visor. Now I have no way to shield my eyes from the sun, which also poses a visibility problem. *tr
Drivers side sunscreen visor broke at the connection to the prop rod causing the sunscreen to swing down unsupported. Replaced this with another visor and the same thing happened again. *tr
airbags 4 complaints shown
Our airbag light went on at the dashboard, and a dealer informed us that the all the sensors on the passenger side airbag had failed. We were told that it would cost almost $1,000 to fix this, and that the parts alone were over $700. We are one 1 month 16 days , and less than 10,000 miles past he 60000 limit for the warranty. I have spoken with Hyundai repeatedly to have them pay for the cost of replacing this key safety device, which has failed due to no fault of our own. Hyundai, and the dealer refuse to accept responsibility for an obvious defect in these crucial safety sensors. Hyundai promotes their service and safety, but has a real problem with passenger air bag sensor failure, and the company will not accept responsibility for its own defects. *tr
When the car is started, the air bag light turns on and won't turn off. Restarted several times since and the air bag light still stays on. Another issue that I never reported is both driver and passenger sun visors won't stay up. I replaced the driver side, but this is very distracting to a driver to have the visor drop downand feel this should be considered a safety concern. The rest of the information is about the air bag light being on, not the visors.
Air bag light came on and won't shut off. Came on in morning just starting the car and has not turned off. I have unhooked battery and checked fuses but still on.
The air bag warning light activated and stayed lit. Hyundai service advised there would be a diagnostic fee merely to test where the problem might be. Repair could cost, according to past experience of the service manager,in the neighborhood of $1,400. It is my understanding that the vehicle will not pass inspection with a lit air bag warning light. I took the vehicle to another mechanic who had access to a scanning computer. The code read: "b1448 ocs (occupant classification system) (mat failure)." the warning light was reset. A review of filed complaints discloses several other instances of this occurring: date of incident: 05/16/2014 NHTSA id number: 10592409 date of incident: 12/12/2013 NHTSA id number: 10556375 date of incident: 04/29/2013 NHTSA id number: 1050996

I've had nothing but trouble since I purchased this vehicle. I bought this car in oct. 2014 and it had over 89,000 miles on it. Two months after receiving this vehicle, I took it to midas to have the oil changed. The mechanic informed me that there was some type of corrosion coming from the oil chamber. He flushed it out and changed the oil. After driving the car for two more months, I noticed some hesitation while excellerating. I had a mechanic look at the car and he told me I needed to change my spark plugs and wires, which I did. Approximately two weeks later, the car started hesitating again. This time it would not go any faster than five MPH. I had to have this car towed home. This vehicle was financed for $10,023 and I'm on a fixed income. I had already made car payments
The rear windshield shattered for no reason. Because of the tint we had installed it stayed intact but you can't see through it. The car is in my driveway if you want to see it, but I have an appointment for Safelite to repair it on Monday, Dec 6, 2021. No, it has not been inspected by the police or anyone else. Safelite will be able to tell what happened when they come out. My husband was at work and the car was parked, when he came out to get in that is when he noticed it. There was no one else near where he parked his car and no evidence of anyone being near the car.

Break light recall - location mount vernon, ohio - date 12-12-2015 I was driving to a christmas event and was pulled over by a state highway patrol officer due to my breaklights being out. I pulled over in the nearest parking lot and had my boyfriend look at it. He said there is a little switch behind the break area that was stuck. He flicked it a few times and it came loose and started working. I am glad the officer let me know before I got into I-71 traffic. I would like to know how to take care of this.
"Hyundai motor company (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2006-2009 accent. Hyundai's recall campaign number is 110." I have a 2009 Hyundai accent that has had a brake light switch failure back in april 2013 and now in november 2014. In 2013 Hyundai did a supposed fix based on campaign 110 ... The "fix" has failed and again all three brake lights have gone out at once. In 2013 I contacted Hyundai corporate and they assisted in getting the issue dealt with. The 'fix," though, has failed and now Hyundai is saying my 09 has no known issues or recalls. I spoke with them and received a case number [xxx] and have spoken with a [xxx] and have been given different stories starting with it was only 06 and 07 Hyundai accents recalled for brake light switch issues even though cars.com

The brake lights all failed at the same time. My daughter was following me and noticed they weren't working. I checked the fuse and it is ok, so the next component is the switch. I researched problems with my model and noticed there was a recall for the 2007 model year for the same model car for the stop lamp switch. Maybe the same parts are being used in later model years. *tr
Brake switch at pedal failed. Replaced brake switch myself. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 Hyundai accent. While attempting to open the driver side door, the door handle fractured. The failure later occurred on the passenger side door. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who replaced the door handles. In addition, while driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly began to shudder and lose power. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the spark plug wire harness failed and needed to be replaced. The contact indicated that the failure eventually occurred on all four spark plug wire harnesses. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 55,000.
