When filling my tank, it spits gas back out of the nozzle. I’ve been told in several forums that this is a warranty issue and is to be replaced by a dealership for free. The item that needs to be repaired is a fuel filler tube. I don’t wanna spend the money on buying the part myself if this is something that is covered by the dealership through the factory. This happens every time I fill the tank and has been an ongoing problem for over a year almost 2 years. I have to fill it very slowly with gas as well. I cannot fill it fast as it will stop automatically. The part number is 52060489AH

Whenever I fill my tank up, the gas spills over onto the car, the ground, and myself. About a quart spills over so could be potentially very dangerous.
When filling up my 2 door Jeep wrangler it never fails to overflow, it doesn't matter what pump I use or how fast or slow I fill up. I have researched that they fixed a couple years and mine doesn't fit into that. I feel it is very frustrating that they won't fix all years considering they know this is a common issue and a safety hazzard as the gas doesn't just get all over my vehicle and the ground but myself as well. This has been happening for a couple months, I thought it was maybe the pump or the way I was pumping the gas and nothing I have done to change it has helped.
Tl*the contact owns a 2009 Jeep wrangler 4x4 sport (na). While driving approximately 65-70 MPH, another vehicle passed the vehicle in the opposite direction and the wind caused the hood to open approximately an inch and a half. Then the hood closed very hard. The failure continued every 100 miles every time a commercial vehicle passed. The contact called the dealer who stated that the failure was not normal. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 6,300 and the current mileage was approximately 7,500. Updated 3/14/11 *cn updated 06/24/11

I am writing to complain that my 4 year old vehicle has a major failure in its air bag safety system. I've called the dealer and asked if there were any recalls on my specific vehicle and was told no. I then wrote to Jeep which involved a timely process of joining a Jeep member club. After complaining to Jeep I was told there was no recall or warranty left on my vehicle. How can you sell a vehicle and offer financing but they cant warranty a part that has failed , and is not a commonly replaced or wearable item. Only to find its replacement part is only available through the dealer. I have owned and operated a repair facility for 7 years and have never had to replace a clockspring on such a new vehicle . Being a rare fix even on an older vehicle. Usually only replaced after an accident. Pl
While driving straight at approximately 35 MPH the airbag warning light started to flash then went off for about a minute or two,now it comes on and stays on for same time (on solid) constantly while vehicle in motion. *tr

I own a 2009 Jeep wrangler. Over the past year and a half, I have experienced increasing issues with my wrangler in that it begins to shake uncontrollably when I am driving above 50 MPH and hit even small bumps in the road. This past summer I had it worked on twice in order to address the issue. My car has been in storage since september and I drove it for the first time this past weekend. Today (12/23/14), I was driving on the freeway and in less than 30 miles, the car began shaking 3 different times. Each time this happens, I have to bring the car to a complete stop (obviously, this is difficult, and sometimes impossible, on the freeway). The situation becomes very dangerous to myself and the drivers around me. I have made no modifications to my wrangler. *tr
Three times in the past week, driving on highway at about 55, started the Jeep death wobble. Had to stop in traffic to stop wobble. Still looking for issue. Tires were rebalanced, still getting death wobble. *tr

Transmission pops out of first gear routinely. It is a safety concern and occurs when crossing traffic at turns eliminating drive to wheels and leaving operator vulnerable to injury or death from oncoming traffic. Jeep has issues tsb tsb 21-001-10 rev a but no recall. This is a known issue with many vehicles with same transmission. There will be injury or death from this one day. *tr

When filling with fuel there is always a large burp of fuel where the gas spills all over the place when tank is full. *tr
I own a 2009 Jeep wrangler 2 door model that has been having issues when I fill up my gas tank. I have seen on numerous online forums that I am not alone in this matter. When I use the pump to fill my tank it will auto shut off the pump then spew at least 2-3 cups of gasoline out of the gas intake onto the side of my vehicle, ground and on occasion myself. I have read that many have also filled a compliant so that Chrysler will perform a recall while others have paid out of pocket to fix this issues. I do not feel that it is fair to have paying customers pay for an obvious design or fuel system flaw.

The wipers keep turning on by themselves and sometimes won't shut off. They also sometimes come on when the turn signals are used, and again sometimes won't turn off. They sometimes won't turn on. Also, bulbs, such as headlight, markers, and fog lights keep blowing out on an extremely frequent basis. All these thing happen when the Jeep is both in motion and idling both on city streets and highway driving.....going foreword and during mid turn. While accelerating and braking. All occurrences have happened during all 4 new york seasons. And at no specific time of day. We have no photos but this happens at various times and has happened many times since the Jeep was bought new in 2010 and this was brought to the attention of the dealership which informed me that they did not physica
During a "death wobble" event, my passenger side blinkers and brake light stopped working. We attempted to change the bulbs, fuses, and checked the wiring under the steering column to no avail. How much more is this vehicle cost me?

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 Jeep wrangler. While driving approximately 55 MPH, the contact depressed the brake pedal and noticed a lost of pressure. The contact decided to fill the vehicle with brake fluid; however, he later noticed brake fluid leaking underneath the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic and was informed of an unknown recall regarding the brake line leaking braking fluid. The certified mechanic diagnosed that the brake line needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called whitten brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (located at 10701 midlothian tpke, richmond, va 23235, 804-378-0707) and was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA to

Driver's side (left) exterior side mirror fell off while driving on a city street. Mirror fell into road way posing a hazard for other drivers. Upon recovering mirror I found that the structural base that attached the mirror to the body was severely corroded away and it broke where an attaching bolt affixed the mirror to the mount not at the point the mount attached to the vehicle. My selling dealer covered this under our Chrysler extended warranty with a $100 deductible. But this is a common defect and poses a safety hazard both to the owner and others around the vehicle or other drivers. *tr
