When conditions are wet, power steering freezes up. Dangerous. Took to dealer, everything is fine, but it is still doing it. What is the resolution? There should be a recall. *js

Steering locks up when driving through a rain puddle. This has happened 4 times in the last few months. Vehicle was in motion on city streets and at highway speeds. This has happened while going straight and turning.

Every time I went through a puddle today the parking brake/brake fluid light and the charging system warning light would come on. It also lost power steering while this happened. It lasted only a few moments but with traffic and kids in the back, a few moments is long enough. This happened with every puddle and even on the freeway when water splashed underneath!! *tr

Lost power steering after going through a puddle today during a rainstorm. I was going about 25mph when I stopped at a stop sign the attempt to turn right onto a curved right uphill. It lasted a few seconds a charger light went on but that also lasted a few seconds.

When I am driving and I hit water or slush on the road way at times my car will loss all power steering and breaking and the lights for the battery and other systems lights come on. It sometimes last for 10 second to 20 seconds. This cause my car to be unsafe for driving because all at one time you lose so much control. *tr

Twice in the last two weeks, while driving in the rain, both the power steering and the brakes failed. The steering wheel would not turn at all, no matter how hard I tried. The brakes were completely inoperable. After 5-10 seconds, the power steering and the brakes would work again. The worst incident ocurred while attempting to turn in a busy intersection; thank god no one was hurt. The other incident was in a school crossing zone, while children were walking or bicycling to school. We are afraid to drive the car until it can be repaired.

Any time there is water on the road my car loses steering and braking capabilities. Doesn't mater if it is a small puddle or a large one. Instrument panel lights come on and a loud squealing noise happens. I took the car to be looked at and they said the shield is in place and this shouldn't be happening. I bought the car in 2010 and it started doing this in 2013.

The ESC light went to ESC off status. Tried to repair brake light switch. Brake light plunger stopper was broken. Cannot find replacement stopper of this type. Appears this is a completely different brake pedal assembly than original rondo lx 2009. There was definitely a recall for this issue and we were not notified. Need assistance in making safety issue corrected. Park position can also slip out without applying the brake. Brake lights can stick on. Need assistance asap from Kia.

Malfunctioning transmission solenoid that the Kia factory rep told us "when it fails, the transmission will go into safe mode and you can bring it back". My concern is what happens when (factory rep word, not mine) it fails, what is going to happen if my wife is doing 65mph on the interstate. The solenoid emits a very loud buzz that can be heard for several hundred feet that was not there when we test drove the car, and it was not there for about the first three weeks we owned it. It started as an occasional buzz, and is now there at all times when the transmission is in gear. It appears to be a known problem because when we took it in, a mechanic came out and said he knew what the problem was. The service manager immediately told me I could talk to the factory rep about it. The factory

When driving the care in wet conditions, car either looses power or dies when right front wheel hits a water puddle. Even small puddles cause car to loose power. Problem seems to be that water gets on the belt very easily. Having the belts tensioners tightened helps some, but does not eliminate the problem. I live in oregon and this problem happens quite frequently. 2009 Kia rondo lx with 4 cylinder engine. Either road, highway or back roads, water puddles result in problems. Note: this is not driving through high water errors, even 1 to 2 inch puddles will do it. Continuous problem over the 5 years we have owned the car. Also speed does not seem to be much of an influence.

The engine fan keeps running when the car ignition is turned off. This happens intermittently and when it does happen, it drains the battery.

Water/mud gets into engine compartment during heavy rain. A day after driving in heavy rain, I opened the hood, and the right (passenger) side of the engine compartment was covered with a layer of mud. This included the engine, wiring, and most electrical components. I have never, in 37 years and nearly one million miles of driving, had this sort of intrusion into the engine compartment of any vehicle I have owned. Our fear is not only the possibility of an electrical fire, but of the slow failure of electrical components, causing serious problems, including fire, in the future. The Kia dealership told me to talk to the factory rep, which I did on or about 7/30/09. The reps reply was a standard 'don't worry about'. He said all shields where in place, and he would have the service dep

When I brake the car in the high speed(maybe 40 miles and more in highway), the steering wheel is shaking, and I need to handle it very hard. And this situation is more serious in highway. And the airbag light is always on when I am driving.

The 3rd row seat belt buckles (both of them) have broken/fell apart and are no longer usable. The seat belts are not able to be clicked/locked and create an unsafe environment for all occupants in the vehicle. I noticed they both broke when I went to buckle in my kids. The middle seat belt in the 2nd row also has locked up and retracted and will not unlock/release and is unable to be used. If someone was buckled in that position, the seat belt would have to be cut off to be removed from the person. It would prevent removal of occupant in case of an emergency. I noticed that the seat belt will not release when I was cleaning my vehicle. I contacted Kia motors america via social media and an agent of Kia contacted me back and said that I could take it to a Kia shop and have them check them
