Takata recall - both drivers side and passengers side of my vehicle have been recalled. When I called the dealership closest to me, they told me to come in to get my airbags replaced. When I went in, they told me that the driver's side airbag would not be ready and that they would get in contact with me that day to set up my rental vehicle while I waited for the airbags to be available. After calling again, I have heard nothing from them for 2 weeks.

My light came on blinking regarding my air bags. I took the vehicle to the Nissan dealership. They advised me that the air bags will not deploy due to a sensor that has failed in the front passenger side seat bottom. I was further advised that they cannot replace just the sensor, it will be $660 to replace the whole seat bottom.I contacted Nissan consumer affairs as I believe this is a basic safety issue and that they should assist with the fix. I have not abused the seat, it is not damaged or torn, it has not been in an accident. The only reason I have no working airbags is because the part Nissan put in the vehicle has failed. Nissan has failed to assist me and I still do not have working air bags. *tr

There is a recall on my vehicle's airbag on the driver's side but parts are not available to fix the problem until spring. This makes me feel very unsafe driving my vehicle until then. What happens if I get in an accident before a free repair is made available to me?
A lady (1) fall asleep then crash on lady (2), then lady (2) crash on our car, but instead of braking the lady (2) she pushes her accelerator crashes and pushes our car to lady (3) in front of us. Our tire explodes, the airbag passenger did not blow out and my wife has a neck injury. My daughter 4 y/old is fine. We have a police report. The car declared total loss. Hospital bill for my wife and a lots of nightmare for my daughter and headaches for the husband. *tr

My Nissan versa was recalled for front springs to be replaced. I had already had the springs replaced because they broke. I was informed that I had to have the springs replaced again to satisfy the recall. The struts were rusted out, but were not part of the recall. I had to pay to have the struts replaced when the dealership broke them removing them to replace the springs. The struts and springs are one unit and should have been part of the recall. The springs did not need replaced. I was charged over $250 for a recall repair that was supposed to be covered by Nissan.
Passenger side spring coil broke nearly 5 months after the driver side spring coil broke. See complaint from 7/31/13. Luckily, coil broke while backing out of drive way, so I did not lose control of vehicle. Broken part of coil is now pinched between coil seat and rest of coil leaving the remaining spring unseated. Car is undriveable in this condition for second time before 5 year loan is even paid off. Case opened with Nissan, but they thus far have refused to pay diagnostic fee to confirm broken spring coil. Broken coil can be clearly seen in tire well. Diagnosis is required for any further action by Nissan regarding repair reimbursement. Bad customer service. *tr
Driver side front coil spring broke while driving. Appeared to be very rusted.
When I put the car in drive to pull out of my parking spot I heard a noise and the front end driver side dropped. I had to replace the coil spring and strut. The strut was damaged due to the coil spring breaking. I had to fix both sides and get front end alignment which cost over $700.00. Based on what I have read this is a know problem with the Nissan versas and there should have been a recall. I drive on a highway in bumper to bumper traffic daily and was lucky it did not happen there. The next person may not be so lucky. Nissan needs to do something about this before a serious accident happens. *tr
Replacing the exhaust the rear springs were broken to the point the insulators fell out . The springs on both the rear of the vehicle were breaking. There wasn't any significant rust on the springs there was a recall on the front which was done. The insulators missing makes a metal to metal contact which would make it wear out faster and more prone to rust. Why are the springs breaking?
I started to back out of my drive way when I heard a loud cluck sound. Upon checking the ground I found part of the passenger side spring laying on the ground. There is no rust. The part just broke. This appears to be a problem. I am just glad that I was on my way down the highway where someone could have died. *tr

The low tire pressure light came on and when I checked I found a tire that was down 15lbs. I dropped it off at the dealer who said the TPMS unit was cracked and needed to be replaced for $218. The tire only has 8,000 miles on it. Will I have to replace the other three sensors? *kb

Recently I noticed a piece of metal near my mailbox. Looking at it I quickly realized it was probably a piece of my Nissan versa hatchbacks left coil spring. Sure enough, the breakage matched what was on my car. Why did I so quickly guess that it was from my car? Because my right coil spring went at about 39000 miles and I had read up on Nissan versa hatchbacks and sure enough, a bunch of people have had this problem (I actually was waiting for it to happen). My right coil spring broke more drastically when I was going at highway speeds and I went onto a bridge. There was a loud clang and my alignment went whack. Later upon inspection at a repair shop, I realized that I could have had a very bad crash seeing that the sharp part of the broken spring coil was only a few inches away from my t

The brakes have been non-responsive three times on my 2009 Nissan versa. When depressing the brakes - there is no response. Fortunately, when depressing the brakes a second time they respond. The first two times were at speeds below 20mph. Today the 26th of dec. 2008 the brakes were non-responsive (first push) at 50 MPH. On second push the car swerved first left then right - I took my foot off the brake and on the third push the car braked as expected. Having brakes be non-responsive at any time is obviously a problem. I made the dealer aware of the failure when it occurred the 2nd time on 12/13/08 - the dealer bruce bennett Nissan of wilton ct 203.544.8371 reviewed the car (keeping it overnight) on 12/16/08. They determined that nothing was wrong with the brakes. Today on 12/26/08 I l

Front door power lock cable broken in actuator for second time in 3 years. Actions: driver opens door using interior door handle while at the same time removing the key from the ignition and activating the automatic unlocking of all car doors. Result: front door lock cable broken in actuator. Now the driver door stays locked while all the other doors are unlocked using the keyfob. This is a safety issue because I have to open my window to open the driver door using the outdoor handle and could not get out in an emergency. First incident was in 2011, it was fixed under the car original 3 year/36000 miles warranty. 2nd incident nov 28 2013. Nissan estimates $295 to replace the actuator + cable. *tr
