The headlights on my 2009 Saturn outlook stopped working. Per the gm dealer they claimed that there is a known defect with the lighting on these vehicles. Considering these are safety items I'm not really sure why there isn't already a recall on this. *tr

Replace drivers side headlamp november 6, 2011 it has burned out again with only 1800 more miles than first incident. So by december 16, 2011 it has burned out again. I have a 2009 Saturn outlook with faulty headlights I have replaced the lights and it seems the problem is in the wiring not the light itself I see were many people are having issues with this vehicle what does it take to get g.m. To fix this safety issue? *tr

12/06/2016 108,000 mi ODI #10930114.0

The low beam headlights burn out approximately every 3-4 months. It appears that there is melting of the lighting electric harness. When the headlights go out, the road is not illuminated as much making it a safety hazard.

The front driver side headlight kept fizzing out. The underlying cause was a frayed and melted wiring harness that was not any good. There is no recall on it but Saturn is aware. Hopefully it won't happen again, but if it does I'm afraid there lies a potential for a fire. *tr

When driving at highway speeds I notice the indication lamp in the dash where speed, temp and direction is lit, flashes on and off intermittently. Also that webbing in rear seat belts does not retract and is frayed through and may result is failure to restrain occupants. Dealership claims all the recalls were address prior to the sale of the vehicle (1 owner) before it's sell to me the consumer. *tr

I bought a new 2009 outlook in august 2009 three times since buying the car, the battery has gone completely dead. The dealer has checked the car thoroughly and found no problems. They say that gm has put out a bulletin for an "intermittent parasitic draw", but no solution has been found to date. They are sympathetic to my problem, but can not do anything until gm finds the solution. *tr

11/22/2011 38,000 mi ODI #10436715.0

Driver side headlight is inoperable. I tried replacing the bulb, fuse and relay. From further investigation I think it is the socket that is bad. This should not happen at this many miles. *tr

I was driving and my car started to lurch and went into reduced power mode. I quickly pulled over and turned off the engine. It was towed into the shop, and we found that the timing chain had broken. We had just had our engine mounts replaced and the oil changed. The vehicle has been well maintained. I have seen the issue with the timing chain failure is a common problem in Saturns/GM from internet research. It looks like there was a service bulletin to bring the car in if Service light comes on and you “think” it’s due to premature wear of timing chain. Now we are told the engine needs to be replaced because it was damaged by the timing chain failure and it seems like a known defect that should be covered because it exceeded the value of the car to have such a fix.

I was waiting at a stoplight and heard an unusual noise from the engine. When I accelerated on the gas peddle, I noticed that the transmission would not shift normally and would not exceed over 30 MPH. I made it to work but when I tried to reverse out of the parking lot, the car would not move at all and displayed "check engine light" icon. I had to push it out of the parking lot then drive forward slowly back home. I called around town to check the best solution for the problem. I also checked online and discovered that other Saturn outlook owners had the same issue and the same broken part when it was diagnosed and repaired which leads me to believe that general motors is aware of the problem and failed to recall my vehicle and add the failed transmission problem to the recall list. *t

I have a Saturn outlook, 2009 model year with 15,600 miles on it. After I parked the vehicle, I noticed a fluid had leaked out onto my driveway. I could not tell where the fluid was from, although I knew it was not oil. I suspected power steering fluid or brake fluid. I took the vehicle to a Chevy dealer for inspection / repair. The dealer found that the hose was leaking at the connection to the power steering unit. The dealer called general motors and they ( general motors) agreed to pay for the repair minus a $100 deductible which I had to pay. I really appreciate this gesture by general motors, however, this tells me that g.m. Knows there is a problem with this power steering hose on many vehicles, and they are just trying to avoid a recall due to this problem. Maybe I am wrong

The tires on my vehicle have less than 30,000 miles and I had a big blowout on the freeway!. They also have caused false low tire pressure alerts to register on my SUV. There had been no previous flat tires, no warning, nothing. The tire instantly went flat and I had to rush to park on the side of the freeway to avoid collision. The repairman whom was changing my tire could not find a cause nor reason for the problem. The tread was barely worn, yet there was a long slit on the outer wall of the tire! There is no way possible for a slit to just appear while traveling on the freeway with no apparent reason. There was no debris on the roadway at all!!! I am completely lost at the cause of the flat and no one would cover the repair. Did I mention the price of one tire averages over $200 and t
