ABS, engine fault, and a whole cluster of lights came on suddenly when the brake was applied at a normal rate of speed (~40mph), with the wheels almost locking up (until brake was released). Volkswagen refused to remedy the ABS defect whose symptoms were consistent with NHTSA recall number 16v9133. A letter to the president of Volkswagen of america is enclosed. Only apologies, but no substantive action, resulted.
