2010 Buick LaCrosse owner complaints

As I was driving down a main route with high traffic travelling approximately 35 MPH the car felt as if someone stepped on the brakes twice. The car slowed down abruptly almost to a stop. I pulled over to the side of the road and shut off the vehicle. I was 1/2 mile from my house so I decided to proceed home. I started up the car and slowly drove down the road. Within minutes the brakes automatically applied themselves again slowing the vehicle dramatically. I proceeded to drive to my garage and called the dealership in the morning. They sent a tow truck and towed it to the dealership to repair where it has been since 12/23/10. This is a major safety problem. I will never drive that car again.

This is a hazardous issue. I can be driving and the car stalls out engine reduce, traction light comes on, and everything starts to act up. The heat stops working as well

I have an 2010 Buick lacrosse cxl I've had for 8years within those years I've replaced the catalytic converter 2x which is pretty pricey considering theirs 3parts. This recent time it was replaced there was gas in the oil. My mechanic states it because of the high pressure fuel pump. Which I feel should be replaced by Buick there's no way I should be changing a converter this often.

Sold a lemon car by drivetime financed through bridgecrest financial llc I purchased the car 12/22/2016 and have been reporting problems since I drove off the lot. I live beyond 300 miles of the location where I purchased the vehicle

2010 Buick lucerne rear fuse block malfunctioned and caught fire *cn

I purchased a vehicle August 2, 2024 from Kingdom auto sales. The car was inspected July 2024 in which it passed shortly after the car wouldn’t go over 40 mph. It would say it’s an over speed. The car runs hot and the parking assist light won’t go off May 25, 2025 I was driving on the highway in the car lost power and the speed was reduced after getting off the highway lost control of the steering wheel due to the stability and hit a guard rail. no reports was made. I contacted the dealership in which I haven’t been contacted and problem not resolved.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the alternator and the water pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact also stated that the thermostat failed causing the vehicle to emit smoke. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the thermostat needed to be replaced. I was driving out a navy federal bank in augusta georgia and when making a left turn, my steering wheel locked and caused me to crash into a light pole and ruined my entire front end of my vehicle. It locked as if the car wasn't there in motion and as if it was a safety procedure for the steering wheel.

Engine quit causing brakes and steering to become inoperative. This is the 5th time this has happened. I have previously reported this to NHTSA and general motors.I never received a response from gm. I took the vehicle to my dealer and the only thing they did was reprogram the vehicle but apparently it did no good. I think the problem is in the ignition system. *tr

Reduced engine power-while driving 30mph the vehicle will randomly reduce engine power and caused the vehicle to stall. I had to pull over and restart my vehicle 2 twice to make it home safely. Gm has a service bulletin out to repair 2010-2011 buck lacrosse only manufactured at specific plants. Gm dealer states I have same defective throttle that was manufactured in 2010-2011 lacrosse and causes the engine to fail while driving the vehicle however gm is saying that no matter if the part is defective it matters which plant made my car and that I should have take an extend warranty. My car just reached 52k miles this month and I could have lost my life and my children's lives by this happening to me over 10 times in 2 weeks. *tr

antilock brake system-the round magnetic sensor that is attached to the wheel bearing hub-had both back ones have parts of the magnet ring break off and one front one completely fall off. this causes loss of antilock brake system. this happened within the last two years.

3/28/14: took car to dealership as my brake pedal was appx. One inch from the floor when depressed while stopping car. Was told brake pads, calipers & brake fluid were all okay. I was advised to monitor...that "condition was due to brake pads wearing & when brake pads wear, the pedal will move further down because pads have to travel farther in to press against the rotors". 5/28/14:returned car to dealership as brake pedal was almost touching the floor when depressed. They determined that my master cylinder had failed...was replaced. *tr

The vehicle was taken to jim ellis automotive group (5862 peachtree blvd, atlanta, georgia 30341, 770-234-8155), but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not diagnosed, but the dealer stated that air bags would be replaced this week. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 78,000.

I have taken my car to several shops in regards to my headlight and no one can figure it out. One headlight in out which are my low beams. The entire car has been rewired and still doesn't work. It pops on and off when it wants to but still the low beam headlight does not work.

We have had the vehicle since 10/16/2012 and just recently noticed the problem. Our left headlight will go out. The only way we noticed this was when we drove up to a store and noticed the reflection in the glass. We had the 2010 Buick serviced last week and mentioned it to the serviceman; he said he found nothing.. I heard approx 2 weeks ago on t.v. That the (---?--2009) Buick lacrosse head light or lights would go out. Should this include 2010 also.since our lights are on continuously, this happens day or night. *tr
