My 2010 Chevrolet Express 1500 AWD Passenger Van was recently in the dealer's shop for work on various sensors and other problems. When the codes were downloaded from the computer, one indicated a faulty passenger side air bag module. At no time had any of the dashboard warning lights indicated a problem with the air bag system, so I had driven an unknown amount of miles without any indication it was malfunctioning, even though the vehicle's computer had an indication of a problem. I have also had repeated intermittent indications of problems with the ABS and Stabilitrack systems, but their cause has never been identified.
The side airbags deployed while driving down the road at about 10 MPH. We had just turned out of our driveway and heading to a stop sign at the highway. Luckily it happened before getting on the highway. Nothing hit the van and no prior damage. My wife was driving and she has bruising on her arm and we both have ringing and sore ears. Sounded like a bomb went off inside the van. We were kind of disoriented and feel like we may have blacked out for a bit after it happened. We have not seeked medical yet but might in the next couple days if some of the issues don't get better.

Going up steep hills the trucks shudders very badly. This happens only at low speed and in 2nd and or 3 rd gear. This is very dangerous and could cause a accident. This happened after gm issued a recall letter to have the transmission reprogramed. It worked fine before. No gm will not allow the dealer to put the original programing back and transmission is shuddering really bad going up hills. Told to manually sift transmission going up hills. Which is stupid because it is a automatic transmission. Very unhappy about this. There was nothing wrong with this vehicle until gm issued a service letter. This will cause a accident . Because the truck shakes so badly. Gm told me they will not fix it or do anything for it. Spent 3 hours on the phone with gm and they basically told you are up

I have been dealing with gm head office and their call ctr for over 1 + years. I have been telling them that there is hesitation at the pedal at acceleration, constant noise from the engine - sounds like a machine gun. They are always telling me that these are "vehicle characteristics"!!!! I don't believe them! Then they put me on a oil consumption as I was almost out of oil for a 3 year old vehicle with only 40,000kms. They were monitoring this every 1,000 approx. I can smell gas in my oil, so they sent a sample off to cat, which they tell me everything was good, but I have never seen a report. Then all of a sudden I receive a I received a call regarding a "recalibrating", so I take the equinox back into the shop....they call me back and state that I had a leaking "high pressure fu
