While driving at speeds below 40 MPH, my transmission would shutter, today my vehicle was going through a intersection when I tried to use the gas through the intersection the vehicle would not move or speed up, I then shifted to manual mode to cross the intersection. Indicator light on the speedometer stated cross traffic system failure. *kb

When using the manual shift mode accelerating from a stop sign, the transmission would not shift from first to second gear. I tried several times to shift the car manually without success. After the last attempt there was an incredibly loud 'thump' from the transmission. Loud enough I thought the transmission fell out of the car. I shifted to neutral, paused (while coasting), put the car into drive where it then shifted into second gear. All of this happened while the car was in motion. This is the second time I've had an issue with the transmission in manual mode. Both times happened when shifting from first to second gear. I took the car into my Ford dealer for inspection the next business day, they stated there could not find any problems. Both times were a routine accelera

On 4 occasions over a 2 month period my taurus failed to accelerate immediately due to what had appeared to be the traction control powering down the motor, minus any flashing lights etc. I would pull up to a stop sign, and attempt to accelerate and I would lose all power for approx 2 seconds and then my car would slam into gear and take off (always on dry clean pavement). I at first dismissed this issue to being a sensor going bad for the ABS system. I later found that during that time same period the speed control would intermittently stop working at various places and times on straightaways or turns without regard to what speed it was set at, however this did not happen to myself but a relation who was borrowing my car on occasion. The latest issue was when I attempted to pull away from

My 2010 has had several drive train issues. The trans has been fixed a few times which took many returns to the dealer before finding the issue. After that at times the car accelerates on it's own from a stop. It's done about 7-9 times. I took it to the dealer where I bought car and they can not duplicate the problem. 3-4 times it took me in to an interchange luckily no one was coming until yesterday. I left a restaurant and moved the car about 20 yards came to a stop and immediately it started to accelerate. I was only less than 10 feet from the road. I felt it starting to accelerate and pushed down harder on the brakes but car surged in to road and collided with another car. I know I'll have a problem with Ford on this...plus my insurance cost will sky rocket as well. I need help

Power assist steering fault appears on the dashboard. As I was driving down the street at 7:00 pm my steering wheel locked up and my dash read power steering assist fault. I then ran over a median and almost pulled a muscle trying to bring the car back on to the road. I called the Ford company and the rep stated that my VIN was not one of the affected vehicles. I then took my car to a Ford service shop and they have advised that this is the same exact issue that was recalled. Needless to say I am without a car while the repair remains over 1500.00.

12/02/2019 105,000 mi ODI #11286396.0

While driving on a residential street at a slow speed, the power steering quit working. There was a fault indication on the dash board. Fortunately I was on a residential street driving at less then 10 miles per hour. The car was almost impossible to steer with the the power steering fault. Fortunately I was able to come to a safe stop. I turned off the car and restarted it. The fault cleared and the power steering was functioning again. I took my car into my mechanic for investigation immediately. This 2010 Ford taurus sho has only 105000 miles on it. This could have been a very serious issue had it happened at higher speeds or in heavy traffic. I see that the 2011-2014 Ford taurus' had a recall for this same power steering issue.

I was driving down the interstate when the car started running real choppy and misfiring. I got the car to a safe destination. After restarting the vehicle, there was a tremendous amount of white smoke coming from the exhaust. I was able to get it to our nearest Ford dealership. Prior to this incident there were no check engine lights, no problems passing emissions, just no signs that anything was wrong. This is a 2 year old vehicle purchased brand new from the dealership. Ford has bragged about this engine being a premier engine, top notch eco boost turbo charged and for us to have to replace it after two years of driving is insane. We have vehicles older than this 2010 taurus sho, one with 100,000(Chevy 2006), another with 150, 000(Honda 2004), and another with 60,000(Mitsubishi 2003

The seat warmer overheated and burned through the leather seat cover while my 18 year old daughter was driving the car to a doctor appointment. She veered off the expressway (I-75) and exited the car on the highway to put the fire out. We have already had it to a Ford dealer and documented the issue and had the seat completely disconnected from the wiring system. The car is only 4 years old, we are the original owners. Never any indication that there was a problem until this incident. We are still paying on the loan! Through researching this issue, it appears that the NHTSA is already aware of the issues with these heated seat warmers with several manufacturers, yet there is no recall and the safety issue hasn't been addressed at all?

My vehicle suddenly ran hot while driving on the interstate at approximately 65 MPH. I immediately pulled off as my exit was approaching and within 1/2 found a safe place to park. The engine had steam coming from the radiator. After calling aaa for a tow, it was towed to the local aaa and then to the classic Ford dealership. As the car arrived on a friday, Ford did not check it until the following tuesday. I received a quote from Ford that it needed an entirely new engine, timing belt and water pump for $7, 400.00! Calls to the corporate Ford did no good as they said there was nothing that Ford could do but to keep my receipts in case a recall was ever announced. I called another mechanic that I had used in the past and he was able to fix the engine for $1800.00. The mechanic sai
