2010 GMC Canyon owner complaints

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 GMC canyon. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal became stuck when depressed. The contact was unable to maintain control of the vehicle and crashed into a three inch pipe rail. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The manufacturer was notified and an investigation was opened for the defect. The dealer was contacted but denied any assistance with repairs to the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 5,982 and the current mileage was 6,182.

GMC 2010 canyon rolls forward up hill at 5mph idling with foot of gas and GMC can't lower the idling RPM I have to shift to n. To stop the truck moving forward. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2010 GMC canyon. The contact noticed that the vehicle did not have a skid plate installed on the undercarriage that would protect the front differential and transfer case. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where he was informed that all of the vehicles were manufactured without the skid plate. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 0 and the current mileage was 350.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 GMC canyon. The contact stated that while driving 10 MPH in rainy weather, the vehicle stalled with the illumination of the check engine warning light. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they advised that the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact was advised that his vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 09v154000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified and they stated that same thing. The failure mileage was 39,104. ..updated 12/11/12 *bf the consumer stated the vehicle stalled again after it was repaired. Tl* the contact owns a 2010 GMC canyon. The contact stated that when placing the gear in four wheel drive the contact noticed a vibration and a loud banging sound in the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that there was no known remedy for the failure and stated that the vehicle was in normal operating condition. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

There was a random failure of speedometer to register correct speed. I am new to this vehicle so I do not know how often it has happened. I have read that this is a common problem but have not yet taken it to the dealer. *tr

The vehicle was inspected by a dealer and they advised him that every bolt in the front end was loose. The vehicle was repaired by tightening all the bolts. The failure recurred continuously for approximately four months. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000. The VIN was unavailable. An incident identical to the description of recall 11v-276 occurred. Snow and ice were present. This rendered the driver's side wiper inoperable, leaving the field of the windshield and ending past the driver's door. *tr
