I received a letter from Honda in july 2016, stating that my passenger airbags were being recalled and the parts would be ready in late summer/early fall 2016. The letter stated that I should not allow anyone to sit in my passenger seat until the airbags were replaced as shrapnel could be dislodged in an accident. Ithe is now the end of december 2016 and I have still not heard back from Honda with a solution. I also don't feel that it is ethical to assume that should shrapnel fly from my airbags during an accident, no one else in the car not sitting in the passenger seat will be affected.

Takata recall I received a warning not to have a passenger sit in the front seat, but what about me, the driver? I have been driving in constant fear of getting hit by another car, causing the driver side air bag to inflate, and possibly dying or getting severely injured. I live in hawaii with high humidity. It is almost the end of 2016 and I still have not received notice of bringing my car in. *tr
The car, a hybrid, sustained left side impact twice, left front impact, and right rear bumper impact. The frame was damaged in two places and repaired. The damage to the car was over $15,000.00, no air bags deployed causing 1 in the car to be injured. *tr
Takata recall. Psychological effect that there may be a problem with the airbags of the 2010 Honda civic.
Good evening, and to whom it may concern, I've been trying to correct the air bag recall since august 2016. I've contacted and visited the following dealership three times since I was notified of this recall: bryan Honda 4104 raeford rd. Fayetteville, nc 28304 every time I visited the dealership, I was unable to get my vehicle serviced. The first time, the excuse from the dealership was that they didn't have the necessary parts and that I would have to come back after they received it. The second time, the excuse was that they didn't know they were supposed to order the part, so the part didn't get there. The third time, the excuse was that they never got the appointment or the notification to order parts, and they never performed the repair. I don't know what the laws are

Today, my 2010 Honda civic needed new front brakes at relatively low mileage - 26000 miles. At first I was shocked. Now, I am deeply disturbed because today, I learned of a class action suit filed in the eastern district of california regarding brake issues in 2008, 2009 and 2010 Honda civics. Service rep at Honda dealer where I purchased the car indicated that brakes have been a problem on Honda accords in the past, so much so, that Honda did come out with an improved brake pad for the accord. I understand that a class action suit had been initiated due to the accord problem as well. Honda needs to address this problem with respect to the civic. Honda is faced with a very serious, widespread safety problem on 2010 civics due to problematic brakes. Let's hope they step up to the pla
Brakes wear out too fast: 1st time was at 15000 miles and not\w need again at 32000 miles. I googled website and found many has same problem. Something wrong with the car's brake system. The maker should take responsibility. *tr
Honda civic 2010 was purchased new. At the initial service appointment the vehicle had 9,000 miles. The front brakes were checked at the request of the owner. The rotors were found to be in very poor condition as were the pads. The rotors and pads were replaced. Shortly after the second service appointment, the owner of the vehicle experienced the front brakes grabbing, and heard a loud noise coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle had 18,000 miles. This was in december, 2011. The vehicle was returned immediately to the dealer at which time the front pads were found to be in very poor condition, and were replaced. *tr
After purchasing my 2010 Honda civic, within a month after putting 5,000 on my Honda civic I had to replace the brakes, brakes are faulty, ive went thru 2 brake jobs within a year and only 12,000 miles.......need to recall the brakes. *tr
With less than 12,000 miles on my car, my brake pads need to be replaced. I would have never expected my car to need new brakes this early, so I almost didn't take my car in when it was making a noise. I inspected my car to see if something as stuck in the tires or something like that and am shocked to find out my brakes are already worn. After much research online, I see that this is a common issue for hondas. *tr

When rains, water leaks into interior. Both back seats get wet & in a truck gets puddles of water. The wiring gets wet, which is dangerous because of safety issues. Please, let me know how to fix it. We have this issue since 2013, the car was purchased. The car was certified but dealerships rejected to fix it.
I am having a on-going issue with paint peeling from my vehicle. Vann york Honda painted some areas on vehicle where paint was peeling in 2014, however, the problem was never resolved because the paint continues to peel from my vehicle. Now vann york is saying that I have to pay 30% towards repairs, I offered for them to waive my 30% of repair cost due to the fact that the problem with paint peeling from my vehicle was never resolved.
lighting 2 complaints shown
For years I have been driving this car complaining about the poor lighting from the headlights. Consistently I have to dab the switch to double check and confirm they are on at night when I am not able to see the road and or any sign that they are actually working. I also regularly took a look at the actual lights to make sure I didn't have one burnt out or something. Now I am selling the car and had it detailed, so the headlights were polished and it was mind-blowing to realize that the low quality of the plastic cover lenses was always the culprit. I guess this happens to every make and model out in the road, so in fact how many of all the accidents occurring every single day could be at least partially blamed on this problem? Especially those cause by running over obstacles in the road
I am 76 years old and recently quit driving. One of the main reasons I did not want to drive any more was poor visibility, which I always blamed on my poor eyesight, including cataracts. The problem, as it seemed reasonable, was when it was dark. My doctor told me otherwise: elderly people with cataracts actually are able to see significantly better in the dark, when pupils are dilated. Someone recently explained to me the real reason: my car's headlights! I am not planning to drive again, I don't even want to try, but I know now that if the headlights in my car would have been working as they should I would probably be still driving. The poor quality of the lenses in this and probably every 2 to 3 year old car in the road today reduces the visibility so much and I'm sure it's the cause of

The drivers seat is extremely uncomfortable. It causes pain while driving causing an unsuccessful attempt to find a position that is not agonizing. After driving for a short length of time I have severe lower back pain that interferes with my activity. *js

On or about december 21, 2017 and on december 25, 2017 (at approximately 5:20 pm eastern time), the engine of my 2010 Honda fit accelerated rapidly for no apparent reason while I was driving on a city or suburban street. On both occasions, I was driving at 20-25 miles per hour. I was not trying to increase the car's speed by pushing on the accelerator. The car has a manual transmission. On both occasions, I was able to slow the car by pushing down on the car's clutch and putting the gear shift into neutral. The engine continued to operate at a high speed after the gear shift was in neutral.

The drivers side sun visor was not staying in place for about 6 months. Yesterday, when I tried to adjust it, the whole thing came right off. The visor split open and a bunch of little plastic pieces inside were broken. I took it to the mechanic and the part costs $45 and luckily I'm not being charged a service fee. I wanted to report this because I have read a lot about it online and it's not fair that the manufacturer uses such cheap parts that will melt or break. *tr
electrical 1 complaint shown
Takata recall I had an air bag recall back in 2016. I noticed the electrical system of the car is always giving me problems. For example the light inside in the middle of the vehicle works whenever it feels like working. Second the passenger side of the window motor I already changed it 3 times and it's still giving me trouble. I already spent too much money I gave up on trying to fix it. Also I already lost count on how many times I have changed my brakes minding that I hardly drive my car. In addition my gas never last either no matter what kind of gas I put. Tried all of them and it's always the same. I bought my vehicle because they promised me I would spend less gas but that was not true.
