Attempted to reduce speed to enter neighborhood street and brake pedal went to floor. Continued pressure stopped the vehicle. Brakes could be pumped up and continued to stop the vehicle, but with seriously degraded braking capability. An accident waiting to happen.

The brakes malfunctioned while driving on a local road. Stepped on the brake pedal, felt normal at first, then pedal gave way almost to the floor and braking power was very little. Pumping the brake pedal recovered some brake power only temporarily. Pulled over and shut down the car. About an hour later, restarted the car and the brakes were still poor. Brought the car to the dealer who could not work on it until the next day. The next day the dealer found no problems with the brakes and I refused to take back the car until something was done. The dealer kept the car about six weeks and road tested it almost every day but could not provoke the problem to return. I asked the dealer to replace any or all parts that could be the cause of the problem. The dealer refused to do such a t

As I was driving, the ground became unleveled, I tried to slow down my speed and I experienced brake failure. My brake pedal sunk down to the floor before my car would come to a complete stop. For two months my car has been in and out of Hyundai dealerships trying to figure out the issue, all the while charging me for test, and no one can correct this issue. It's now 2 1/2 months and I'm still without my car. I need for Hyundai to be held accountable. *tr

Hello NHTSA administrator, I bought a new Hyundai Genesis in march 2010. Around august 2010, I had a small fender bender in the parking lot. To keep warranty intact on the car, Hyundai insisted that the wiring harness on the car be replaced, which I did for approximately $5000. Since then, I have had multiple electronic items go bad in the car. I replaced some of these at my own expense. But the problem has gotten worse with some expensive electronic components going bad over the last 2 years. In normal circumstances, these components should not go bad over the life of the car, and certainly not at a frequency that they have failed in my car. I attribute these failures to bad/defective job done during wiring harness replacement. But Hyundai has refused to accept responsibility since

I was traveling approximately around 45mph when I pressed on the brake to stop at a intersection. However the car had other plans and didn't stop as desired due to the brake pedal going to the floor! Thankfully, no traffic was in the oncoming lane and the turn lane for me just turned green. I was able to go around the car ahead of me and make the turn without incident. I then proceeded to limp the car over to the local Hyundai dealership here in jacksonville, fl. They diagnosed it as a bad ABS module for the brakes. My 3rd party warranty company wouldn't repair the car due to no check engine light coming on from this brake failure. Key Hyundai repaired the car at no additional cost to me even with my car having 63k miles on it. Another thing to note is that they had just changed out t

This is a recurring hesitation problem. I first noticed this when making a turn into traffic. The hesitation is significant. In some cases there is an acceleration pause of 1-2 seconds. This does not occur every time I accelerate but its lack of predictability is a problem in and of itself. I have come close to being rear ended because the car would just not move when I pressed the accelerator. Also, when the car windows are up and the car sits in the sun for a few hours the central nav and communication system over heats and will not function until it cools off (maybe 20 minutes). In the meantime, back up camera does not work, temperature controls do not work and the bluetooth system does not function.

Vehicle suddenly loses acceleration and drops to a maximum speed of 20 MPH. Check engine light turns on but goes away after shutting down the car and leaving it on standby for a few minutes. Occurs every few hundreds miles. It's happened while the car is in motion, both on the street and highway.

The hood on the 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe does not fit properly allowing the hood to bounce at normal driving speeds. I have advised Hyundai usa and they have advised me that the fit of the hood is to specification. My concern with the vehicle is if the hood does not fit properly, it may not latch properly. They have stated, but will not put in writing, the hood will not unlatch. *tr

While driving my Genesis 2010 sedan, the battery light illuminated, then the power steering did not respond. I was about 1/2 miles from my house and I had to wrestle with my steering wheel until I got home. The scary part was that I unexpectedly lost power steering during a turn at the traffic light. Luckily, no on coming traffic was near as I completed the turn on the opposite slide of the street. I fortunately arrive home, parked the vehicle and had it towed to the mechanics. I learned that the alternator went out and so did the battery. Luckly, during the turn I did not crash, but it was very nervous the rest of the way.

Headlights flash when switching from "auto" to "on" position. Occasionally the headlights in the "on" positon will blackout for 2-5 seconds until headlight stalk is giggled. There is an electrical "noise" (like a short circuit sound...a "pop") when switching from auto to on. The turn signals also seem to trigger the "short circuit". All of these conditions can occur moving or standing still.on any type of roadway.
