2010 Jeep Liberty owner complaints

I was filling up my vehicle with gas and it overflowed and it continues to do that every time I fill up. Its a fire hazard and a waste of gas. *tr

While refueling, the tank will overflow and bubble over onto my paint and the ground every time I fill up. It's roughly a cup of fuel each time. This is a persistent problem for me and safety hazard. I'm pretty sure overflowing gasoline isn't good, and it is damaging to the product (paint) as well; this issue is a growing theme with Chrysler vehicles and all affected vehicles need a service bulletin posted for a solution. *tr

Refueling the vehicle causes gasoline to overflow from the filler tube and run down the side of the car onto the ground. Approx10-12 oz. Of fuel will spill out every time the vehicle is filled up at any gas station. There appears to be a venting issue with Jeep gas tanks. A quick google search returns many results of this issue, most commonly known as 'gas tank burping'. It affects different Jeep models. Chrysler dealership are unwilling to help me because I am out of the 36,000 mile warranty period. *tr

The driver and passenger side air bags partially deployed. The contact sustained head and back injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. For no reason, the airbag warning light came on. Though there is warranty, they are telling us it isn't covered under warranty. I will never buy another Chrysler vehicle as long as I live. There have been other instances that should have been covered but we were lied to regarding the extended warranty coverage added...enough said. *tr

2010 Jeep liberty with only 1,939 miles on the vehicle the driver and passenger side air bags deployed while under normal driving conditions. The driver was struck in the head with the air bag. The impact caused the driver to become disoriented and drive 200 miles with no memory of the drive and events that occurred in a 4 hour time period. The driver regained awareness after the low fuel warning chime started to ring. At some point during that 4 hour drive the driver side front and rear tires went off of the road causing a piece plastic in the rear driver side wheel well to break off. Other than the broken piece plastic the was no physical damage to the vehicle body or suspension of the vehicle. There was substantial damage to the interior of the vehicle due to the side air bag deploy

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the computer software needed to be updated and unknown wires needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.

The contact determined that the failure was due to a defective alternator. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

The tipm on my 6 year old Jeep liberty stopped functioning causing the lights on my vehicle to no longer work. This occurred after starting my car one night when leaving somewhere I had arrived during the daytime.

Was putting after the pump shut off, gas came pouring out of the tank down the side of the Jeep. This is the maybe the sixth time this has happened to me, but looking on the internet this is a very common problem. You would think Jeep would recall. *tr

I brought a Jeep liberty wanting to try something new . I have been experiencing hell with this vehicle. I have only had it about 2 weeks took it to the dealer no one knows what's wrong because no lights stay on . I've taken it to aamco thinking they could tell me . They saw no problem . When driving this car for more than a hour the throttle light comes on the check engine light esp and it starts to shake like it will turn off . The lights always leave so the next day I have no proof . I have always had trucks and suvs I will never buy another Jeep heating is also terrible . Changed heater core alternater radiator check transmission. Every now I'm drive this car blind not knowing what to expect because it has too many mystery's that shops don't know about this is the worst christmas gift

Car was in motion when the transmission went out-2015 door locks stopped working-2017 driving in the rain when washer fluid stopped working-tipm went out-2017 driving down the highway when the back glass on lift gate was falling off-hinge bolt on the back glass is deteriorated.-2017

Grand ave, elmhurst, il 60126, (630) 333-9121) where the contact was informed that the cost of the roof repair exceeded the value of the vehicle. The contact was also informed that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 100,028.

The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that while the cruise control activated, the vehicle would decrease in speed and the cruise control would shut off. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 109,000.

Both times I was slowing down for a red light and almost rear ended another car. I felt the brakes failed and the car seemed to accelerate and or the gas pedal stuck. I called Jeep and they said there was no recall/issues and I saw where my year/model was reported to have a recall for a brake issue. *tr
