Takata recall - have not received indication that driver airbag is available for installation. This car is almost 6 years old and we live in a hot humid climate. It is my understanding that these factors increase the likelihood of an airbag problem.
Tl* takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Audi q5. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v078000 (air bags) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted at: new country Audi greenwich 181 west putnam avenue, greenwich, ct 06830 and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall I received the safety recall notice from Audi in april 2016. I called my local dealer and was told the "part weren't available yet." it is now november 2016 and when checking on this again I am told the parts still aren't available. I find this unacceptable and I wonder why the NHTSA doesn't find it unacceptable as well. I called Audi customer service and was told they have "no idea when they are getting replacement parts from takata." however, Audi is obviously still making these cars and since they can find new airbags to put in new cars, why isn't anyone pressuring the manufacturer to fix the cars they sold in the past before they use those parts on new cars!!! It seems that they don't care about this since takata will be liable if I die in an accident. However,
Takata airbag recall. It has taken too long to get my airbags ag. This is unacceptable as it is a high rish of injury or death. I contacted the dealership in august of 2016. They have no information as to when I will be able to get the airbags replaced

Takata recall issued in 2016 but my dealer has been waiting over 6 weeks for parts to do the interim repair. Air bags have never deployed but I remain concerned about possible injury in the event of an accident

My 2011 Audi q5 would not start one morning when trying to start the car in my garage (dec 2019). I had it towed to the fletcher jones Audi dealership in chicago il where I have been a loyal customer since moving here in 2014. They performed a diagnostic and identified that the timing chain tensioner had slipped, and may have caused "catastrophic" failure to my engine. They proceeded to ask for another $1,500 to diagnose the engine for the failure, and mentioned if if had failed it could be up to $10,000 to fix the problem. After a short bit of research, it turns out there is a warranty that there was a recall issued for this problem and an extended warranty. My dealership never told me this, and was just expecting me to pay out of pocket. Also, I had my car serviced there 4 differen
Oil consumption issue while driving down the road. Under any acceleration, smoke comes out the exhaust. Uses about 1 quart of oil per 300 miles. Leak down test was done, showing leakage past piston rings. Resulting in a complete rebuild of engine costing me $5,000 plus. Vehicle has just about 100,000 miles.
After my car had been sitting for 8 days I went in garage to crank it. The car cranked but shook violently. I immediately shut it off. I tried to re crank it but it would not crank. I called Audi and had it towed in. They told me the "lifetime" timing chain was stretched. That the repair would cost between $4,000 and $7,000 to fix. I did some quick searching and saw other folks with similar issues. The car has 98,000 miles , always serviced by Audi. I called Audi and told them this appears to be a re occurring issue and I though they should handle the fix. They called me back and said they would split the cost. I told them to proceed with the repair. This is the second major problem with the engine, the first was "oil consumption" which they repaired for free. Another $7,000

Audi q5 94,000. I will never never buy Audi vehicle again. First started with oil leak, replaced valve cover gasket, then hood latch sensor (german genius). How in the world this bad sensor measures oil level. Rack and pinion leak, then timing cover gasket leak. Then my mechanic replaced driver side upper control arm. Now rear shock is bad. Already spent over $3000 fine, the worst issue I have is traction control light. The dealer (stealer) gave me estimate of $1700 to fix this. The last serious one on 12/23/20 while driving with 2 more passengers on busy are in houston near med.center, car engine lost power, shaking violently, then I drove very slowly at around 30 MPH. This is Audi q5 is nightmare. NHTSA please do something, make Audi settle these issues. Thank you.

The contact attempted to restart the vehicle, but was unsuccessful and the check engine indicator illuminated. Also, the electric power steering warning message appeared. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home. The contact called the collection Audi (200 bird rd, coral gables, fl 33146, (305) 444-5555), but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was unknown.

Panoramic sunroof start leaking water when rain and panoramic foam swells, foam becomes rusied and builds corrosion.
Wipers do not keep windshield clear in winter snow and ice driving conditions. Wipers freeze up and do not clear windshield, seriously compromising visibility and causing dangerous vehicle operation. Design is proprietary and Audi do not offer winter blades to remedy this situation. Please note, this is for an Audi a4 quattro, not q5 as your web site only acknowledges the a3 and q5 as choices for vehicles. *tr
