2011 Chevrolet Cruze owner complaints

Transmission is kicking while driving, especially when in reverse but also while forward. Also while in reverse the car will go forward instead. Does this every time it is driven, even while turning. Mechanic said it is the actual transmission causing the problem.

It's takes long for the gears to change get stuck on gears smells like gas I. The car and had it in park and started to roll back with out starting the car in the city and in the highway acts the same

Cars heat does not heat up, blows out cold air. It is always one click above cold when in motion, when sitting still it will heat up 2 clicks above cold. This is a problem on this car and there are many complaints. The problem does not seem to be fixable, even when replacing the the heater core or wiring.

In the last 4 months my tracking control, stability traction control, and reduce engine power light stays on. I have had knock censor replaced, value covers but nothing has worked. My car constantly cuts off in in the middle of traffic and three times on the freeway at 65 miles. The car is very unsafe and yet there are no recalls on my car.

Sudden loss of engine power. The first occurrence happened exiting a fast moving expressway. The engine suddenly stopped power and the car was reduced to less than 5 miles an hour. The car was pulled to the shoulder and turned off. Eventually after restarting the car the engine went to full power and the car reached its destination. There was some luck involved as traffic was light. Since, the loss of power has happened five more times. At least one occurrence was very dangerous - pulling from a stop sign onto a busy road. I feel that this issue makes the cruze one of the most dangerous cars on the road. The issue happens without warning and can happen at 65 miles an hour or from a stop. When heater is in use get a strong antifreeze smell in the car. Also get a film on the inside of the windows. Had back to the dealer 3 times. We have a 5 month old that rides in the car, not sure if it is safe for him with the coolant smell in the car. You have to wash in side of windows weekly so you can see at night. *tr

i have an oil leak coming from the valve cover gasket ,,it is a brand new genuine cover and gasket so oil is falling on the drive belt which breaks pretty quickly while driving I heard that it might be an issue with the pcv check valve inside the manifold Apparently many customers complaints about this issue and no recall yet

We had purchased the vehicle just 8 months ago, was not purchased new, but was new used..still under warranty..we received the recall. Had an oil change and detail to do anyhow, so took it in to where we bought the vehicle. They did the oil change, supposed recall fix and supposed detail. Our vehicle was still under warranty at the time of the oil change. 36000. As we drove, started smelling burning oil...never occurred before. Opened hood and noticed an oil leak below the vehicle into the engine shield. Being out of warranty by that time, we did nothing. Just figured they did an improper oil change and it was leaking. Today, we discovered while checking the oil that it had gas in the oil chamber. In pulling the dip stick out, it leaked all over the engine..I quickly smelled of it, smelled

I was pulling out of a gas station, use to my normal power and almost got hit because my car wouldn't go over 15mph floored. Then looked down and saw a engine power is reduced, service stabili trak and service traction control. So I took to a mechanic he hooked it up and the code showed up as my throttle body position sensor. They replaced it and drove it and it drove fine for about two weeks. I was just going down the road then all of a sudden my car did the same thing. I lost power so fast that I about got rear ended. Took it back to the body shop and showed the same code so they replaced the part again. And two days after all this my car is doing this again. This is extremely dangerous at how it looses engine power. It looses it so fast that someone can get hurt extremely bad. *tr

My car just went out. No warning no nothing. The dashboard wend haywire and was unable to read anything at all (speed, RPM, fuel or temp). The ignition downshifted on its own almost causing an accident while I was on the highway. Once safely off of the highway I tried to park the car in a proper parking space so that I could inspect the issue and it wouldn't reverse and shortly after would no longer go forward.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer five different times. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure and stated that the vehicle was working as designed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000.

Drivers side windshield wiper failure at night, in rain, at speed, resulting in severe loss of vision. Found that wiper transmission intermediate link separated from lh wiper transmission bellcrank at ballsocket..further identified plastic ballsocket on link failed, and could not be reattached. Replaced with new wiper transmission assembly p/n 95971326. OEM failed part identified by #95971324 dongyang 12/10/10 14:16:18 vehicle primarily driven in rainy climate, wipers used a lot. Never frozen to windshield, or ice/snow buildup. *tr

I was driving on the interstate highway during a rain storm when the driver side wiper blade quit working. I had to pull off the road which was very difficult because my vision was being blocked by the rain. It was very dangerous to do this because of the wiper failure. I was traveling at a speed of 55-60 MPH at this time.

The driver side windshield wiper is now inoperable. It has come loose from the motor and is now free roaming on my windshield. Cruzetalk.com forum states that there a lot of these issues with the Chevy cruze windshield wiper system. I was driving in a snow storm when it stopped operation. I had to call a tow truck to get me. I was on the side of the road for 3 hours in a snow storm waiting for a tow truck. *tr

As I was on the highway, I was unable to pick up speed without feeling resistance! After awhile I couldn’t go past 25 mph and my car eventually gave out before I made it home. I had to call a tow to have them tow me to my park lot! A couple days went by and my car was able to drive through the parking and park in different spots. I am not sure what the problem may be but I just bought this car and it has been causing unsafe issues for about a year now! Please help!

Well it would kind of stall when I began to give it gas the rpms would go up n rev but it didn't kick n go for a min than it would be ok until u stopped jbstarted to go again than one day I was driving n the drive went completely out on me so it goes in every gear but won't drive

Takata recall - my car was involved in an accident, in motion, on a city street. My air bag did not deploy. My seat belt did not hold me. I took a hit to the head, having to have stiches, along with both eyes turning black/blue. *js

Heater at first did not work; dealer removed air bubbles and topped off radiator. The dealer mechanics mentioned that typically the thermostats or temperature sensors have gone in the cruzes. 2 weeks later - sure enough, back at dealership - need 2 temperature sensors now. Based on blog activities - it seems like these warrant a recall. *tr
