Takata Recall. The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V054000 (Air Bags) however, the part to the recall repair was unavailable. A dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts are not available.

Takata recall... I called the dealer about the recall. The service department said there is no replacement available at the time, gm will call when there is a replacement. What do we do in the mean time? Do we wait until something happens and then sue gm? I am curious because I don't want a loved one getting hurt or killed before the airbag is replaced.

Large crack on upper left hand side of passenger side airbag dashboard. Truck used on hard surface roads. Truck is parked in garage. Crack showed up without malice. Concerned about possible dashboard shattering if and when airbag is deployed in the event of a collision causing harm to driver/passengers.

All 4 doors are rusting on the bottom edge (round seam). Cracks on dash on passenger and driver side starting from air bag and cracking outward. Oil pressure runs low and uses 1 quart of oil every 1500 - 2000 miles

My brother was putting a trailer onto my hitch and noticed that it was unstable. The factory hitch was rusted out thru the metal. Him being a mechanic he decided to put the truck up on the rack. My FRAME IS RUSTED COMPLETELY THRU!!! BECAUSE they did not rust proof it right to start. I could have been killed along with my GRANDSON whom I have custody of. No one knew my truck frame was rusted out. It's a beautifully kept truck in great condition. I was not aware of this issue of them not recalling a rustproofing error!!!! Omg. A 20k truck is worthless now. Who has to die to fix this!! There is no reason a truck frame should rust through in 10 years!!

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet silverado. The contact stated that when adding oil to the vehicle, it was discovered that the transmission dip stick tube had separated from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the dip stick tube needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

The driver side mirror will not adjust outward far enough to eliminate a blind spot on that side of the vehicle. 9/22/11 tom bannen Chevrolet in madison tn attempted to solve the problem by replacing the mirror, but that resulted in no improvement. 12/8/11 I complained to the dealer again. [xxx], the service writer, sat in my truck, operated the mirror and confirmed that the mirror would not adjust outward far enough to eliminate a blind spot. He said that it was definitely not right,' and they would check it out to see what repair is needed. But when I picked up the truck, they said it operates like all their other trucks and would make no improvement. 12/10/11 I complained to gm at 866-790-5600. 12/21/11 "district specialist" john (extension 42327) said gm will not do anything t

2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 severe frame rot drivers side front left from cab to rear wheel potential for snapping with holes of rot throughout also right side starting have had truck for 1.5 years which cost 11,000 dollars GM should be held accountable as I have read hundreds if not thousands of other Chevrolet truck owners with this issue, there was a recall for failure to add some type of rust prevention which issue would have been way past that stage GM is aware of this and fails to do anything about it, this is going to cost about 2500.00 to repair frames should not rot out like this what will it take before something is done about it 100,s of deaths due to fatal accidents the average person may not know about this as they may never go under their truck Thank You [XXX] INFORMATION

I have a 2011 Chevy silverado with a fuel gauge problem. While driving downhill, my fuel gauge light just comes on and the fuel gauge goes down to empty. The vehicle then stalls losing all power and control of the vehicle (brakes, steering). As I reach the bottom of the hill, I have to place the vehicle in park and it starts right back up but the fuel gauge stays at empty. I had the vehicle serviced at a gm dealership and it was stated by the tech that vehicle is working as designed. This was also confirmed by gm engineering department. If I recall, the fuel pump is placed more toward the back of truck and while driving downhill gas moves towards front of tank giving the fuel sensor a false reading. I'm no engineer but I had a 2009 silverado and never came across this problem. This is a
