About 2yrs after purchase, steering rack and power steering pump had to be replaced, which was done prior to warranty expiration. Now at this time dec. 2015 with 68,906 mi on the od, I am experiencing the same problem again. Difficult to steer and turn the steering wheel, clunking sensation/feel in the steering wheel, and a pump whine sound. Hard to turn wheel from a starting point or stop. When accelerating steering wheels is easier to turn. When driving down the road, the steering is loose. There was no precipitating factors to the start of this problem yesterday, I first noticed the problem after attempting a left turn at a ss on my way home. I could hardly make the left turn, then I started to hear the whine noise. Fluids are all good in the power steering pump. How in the world

Power steering whine diagnosed today with whine present while turning or accelerating after a turn. They are saying we need a new steering gear (rack) and that will only set me back $1700. It is a safety issue as the power steering can go out at any point. I have only had this car less than 2 years and there have been so many things needing attention. There is a whine with the a/c when one of the bolsters<?> are to shut for a change in temp.

12/30/2015 ODI #10817094.0

A weird noise started to happen when I turned and progressed to a constant whining noise that worsens while turning. We were told that it is a leak in the steering rack and would be an $1800 repair. *js

I was driving home from work one evening. I just came off of the highway, then there was chimes coming from the 2011 Chevy traverse. Then on the dash read traction control off stability control off service traction control service stability control engine power reduced. I went form 40 MPH to 20mph in less than a second. Contacted the dealership was told to stop driving immediately and have it towed to them. I get a call the next morning regarding the traverse and an estimate of $230.00 for a diagnostic and cleaning the throttle. Not even a month later it happened again right before I was about to enter a highway, I called the dealership again and they told me to have it towed and they will perform another diagnostic and give me another estimate for the exact same problem. They calle

I purchased this 2011 traverse used in 2013 with approximately 28,000 miles on it in aurora, co. It now has about 118,000 miles. I have had warning lights on the ABS and stability control systems come on, along with error messages indicating stability control and AWD are deactivated for about a week that do not reset upon restarting the car. Today, I experienced numerous losses of engine power, as though the car had dropped into neutral, while driving surface streets at approximately 30-35mph. Despite pressing the accelerator, the vehicle immediately dropped down to 10-15mph for several seconds. Research online in the Chevrolet forums indicates a throttle body issue, but shows no corporate investigation or recall into this, though many people report similar losses of power on highways

I have been in small and big inclines and my car rolls back. I have to keep my foot on brake and give at same time I release the gas or it rolls back. I have come close to hitting the car in back of me.

While driving my traverse my traction control will turn off, service stabilitrak will come on and it will say engine power reduced and will slowly start to slow down. If you come to a complete stop and try to hit the gas again it will shake and kind of studder. This has happened both on a city street and on the highway. The city street was on a curvy road and the highway was a straightaway. This has only happened while in motion. In order for it to stop we would have to turn the car off for 10-15 seconds and restart in which sometimes it would stop for a while and others it would only stop for a mile or less. This is the second year it has done it and both years it has done it in the cold. Last year we cleaned the wheel sensors and it stopped but this year we have tried multiple things and

Use remote starter. After a few minutes of warming up unlocked and entered vehicle. Once key turned to on doors started to lock and unlock. Put car in reverse barely moved. Tried drive and would not move? Check engine light, stability track lights are on. Not good when you need to get to work. *js

The speakers will quit working when it is either wet or cold outside. Aside from the stereo not working this is a safety issue as all warnings do not sound as they come through the speakers. Warnings include backup sensor seat belt and much more.

While driving down the road, the car will begin to make a beeping noise three times, the traction control light comes on the following messages appear: service traction control, service stabilitrak, power engine failure. At this time, the vehicle will drop speed at an alarming rate and will not go over 10 MPH. Gm/Chevy denies any wrong doing and act like they know nothing about this issue yet its all over the internet! The dealerships guess at what to fix costing the car owner out of pocket for it to continuously happen. This vehicle is a death trap! This vehicle has done this numerous time to me beginning in april of 2017.

A mechanic told me my power train chain is loose and that this is common in 2011 6 engines and to report it cause it should be a recall issue. This is a common problem and needs to be addressed. My car will barely make it up a hill and the fuel mileage has gone down.

2011 Chevy traverse is having fuel gauge issues. Gm has a recall out on 2014 models, however my 2011 is experiencing the exact same problem but no recall for that year. Per gm this can result in the vehicle unexpectedly running out of fuel and stalling, increasing the risk of a crash. *tr
