The vehicle was involved in an accident. The vehicle was going approximately 50 MPH and jumped a ditch and struck a pole on the front driver side of the vehicle. The front driver side of vehicle was pushed up to the windshield. The force of the impact caused the driver to bend the steering wheel by impact. None of the airbags deployed at any point during this.*dt*jb the consumer provided photos of the vehicle.

A police report was filed. The contact sustained soft tissue injuries through the body and continuously sought medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot where the vehicle was declared destroyed. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 93,000.

I own a 2011 Dodge caliber with a recall for loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioner deployment capability. I do not want to drive my car due to this safety issue in addition to having children in my car. I cannot even get a reasonable trade offer due to this. I am told that the parts my not be available until june 16, 2016. This is a serious danger to my family and a huge financial loss for trade in. Dealerships should at least give maximum trade for this vehicle and they can wait for the repair parts until they can sell it rather than put the public at risk and financial loss due to the lower value of trade to this situation. *tr

Only 117,500 miles the subframe is rusted out and cracked.

I just bought this vehicle July 28 of 23. It was supposed to have been inspected to be sold. It’s completely rusted out the whole bottom of the car it’s unsafe to drive. I’ve been told by three people the people that did the inspection and said it was OK, and then Belle tire, which I tried to get a Alignment for him because it’s so bad and separating. I can’t get an alignment it hydroplanes and back in bounces up and down and it’s not for me to drive. I’m [XXX] and I need a good safe vehicle and I need something done with this or someone to take it back so that I can get a different car that is safe for me to drive. This Vehicle was sold to me July 28,2023. It was said to be safe to sell to me by H&I, Auto Repair Shop in Sterling Hts , they let Grimaldi's Auto Sales, in Warren, Mi , on Mound sell me the vehicle I am an [XXX] woman. The repair man there said it was SAFE to drive. I took it for an alignment. Which at Belle Tire they could not be due to the fact how bad it is! now I have a vehicle that is not safe to Drive because the Rear Suspension Crossmember is rusted out and other parts in back plus struts and other parts. I need this vehicle fixed or replaced as I live on Social Security. FOR FREE I can't afford to PAY for something that was sold to me that it is junk. It was Hydroplaning, had the tires checked out! Then the back end was bosing up and down. Thats when I found out more problems.

The contact also noticed that during rain weather, the front driver and the passenger floorboards would become wet. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was informed that the an alignment was unable to be performed due to the ball joints and tires needing replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 97,000.

I have experienced my car suddenly decreasing speed to around 30 MPH after the throttle body light comes on. The second time I was on the freeway, the other times were on the street. Once I turn off my car and restart it is fine, unfortunately this is occurring more frequently. I bought my car new, it is only 3 years old, this should not be happening. It only has 56,000 miles and gets serviced on a regular basis. It does not matter what time of day, if the heater is on or off, it just happens.

I have had this happen to me twice now. The first time back on 9-4-13 and again now 11-18-13. For some reason while driving it I will loose acceleration it won't go more than 5 miles when applying the gas. The first time I was a light getting ready to make a left hand turn. After my turn I notice the car would not go faster then 5 miles, even with the pedal to the floor. And again the other day, I got in it and backed up, put in drive and the same thing. The only way to correct the problem is to turn the car off and restart the car. Now dealership is saying again there is nothing wrong with it. Plus I have filed a complaint with Chrysler and not getting much from them. I do not feel safe in my own car, I have a child. This is a accident waiting to happen. *tr

There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a defective cross member. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 160,000.

While looking at the under carriage of my 2011 Dodge caliber, flakes of black pain peeling off the front subframe. Upon further investigation, the front subframe that provides structure for important components such as engine mounting and suspension and steering is being succumbed to rust. The vehicle has only been serviced at the Dodge dealership where I purchased it from and strangely this subframe which a "certified mopar mechanic" would have to look at just to drain the oil appeared to pass the safety inspection. Listen, any competent human knows rust just doesn't appear on a cars under carriage overnight but somehow in my case it happened to be when the warranty expires.

Driving to massachusetts from nh...3 hour ride...just outside of springfield, ma on a very busy highway, the car suddenly deaccelerated, lost power, and dash warning lights came on. The car went from approx 75/80 MPH down to 30mph and lower. I was in the middle of the third lane, and had to try to get over to the break down lane with a car full of kids. This is not safe, and several vehicles were swerving around me to avoid hitting me in the rear end. When trying to accelerate, I would put my foot to the floor on the gas pedal and nothing would happen. It was like it suddenly went into neutral. Very, very dangerous. Also, the shifting lever often shifts my car into manual operation instead of automatic without me even realizing it.

I got my oil change done at 67,000 miles and since then my car jerks and feels weird when I drive it. I'm worried that it may stall on me when driving on the highway or city and that's dangerous for my kids and others on the road. Please investigate the transmission as it's made by Nissan and Nissan has a lot of problems with their cvts.

Went out to start my car, inserted key in ignition, car cranked without stopping continuous, check engine light came on and red lightning symbol for ect failure. Turned off looked in book. Tried several other times to start, same result. *tr

Unknown i took my car to repair shop for oil change when car was on rack they noticed the front crossmember (X69 warranty extension) was rusted with a good sized hole he said it is ready to break and would loose steering control and can wrect k they printed off a technical service bulletin from dodge i called dodge they said it wasnt a recall so they wont pay for repair a dodge dealer gave me a quote of $1400,00 and $ 1500.00 dollars to replace it i dont under stand why they didnt do a recall is there anything nhtsa can do about this problem dodge know about it to do a serice bulletin my vehicle is registered with dodge and nhtsa to receive recalls and things i got nothing about any recalls the repair shop told me about 2 recalls and i had them fixed

Original complaint was filed as this number 10662585 for preliminary diagnosis. When I had it towed to the dealer, jeffy wyler Chrysler Jeep Dodge in springfield oh, they called the next day and told me the fuse box had entirely shorted out and would have to be replaced by me because the car was out of warranty for $698. I had to repair the car. My complaint is this car stopped working at 21485 miles no matter that I have owned it for just now 40 months. This car has been babied over the course of my ownership since purchasing from the dealer as a new car, no other owner. For the fuse box to fail at this low mileage tells me it is a factory problem, not mine. *tr

First incident occurred in the morning, vehicle stalled and restarted on it's own going around a curve. Later that day in the afternoon, vehicle stalled going around yet another curve this time not restarting. After being towed to a dealership, the PCM was flashed and I was told all would be well. Stalls on off ramp of interstate 30 miles later going 55 MPH. Towed again, tipm module was replaced. Vehicle stalls again and restarts on interstate five days later going 75 MPG, dealership claims no problem this time, no codes and cannot duplicate issue after a 148 mile test drive.
