"takata recall", car was involved in accident on november 3, 2016. Car was brought immediately to body shop for repair. Once body shop received car, the driver (steering wheel) air bag was ordered at Ford. Geico, my insurance company notified me on december 3, 2016 that they will no longer cover my rental car expense since its the fault of the car manufacturer why the air bag is not available. So in order to avoid loosing my job I have to pay $26/day for the rental car. I have had to pay over $500 just for the 20 days I have had the rental car. I called Ford customer service and they told me they will not cover the cost of my rental car and they are very sorry I am inconvenienced. This is totally unacceptable, this car was purchased for over $65,000 in 2011 as it is a shelby cobra gt500 co

Takata recall - I received a recall notice from Ford in mid 2016 that both the driver airbag (15s21) and passenger airbag *16s26) were recalled. Ford replaced the passenger airbag but to date tells me there are no parts to replace the drivers airbag. I am told that if the bag inflates the driver could be killed. So, why can't Ford, in over a year, get replacement parts?

Contact reports driveshaft failed. Part replaced under warranty. Replacement driveshaft failed almost immediately. Driveshafts are ripping themselves in half where they are stamped from thin sheet metal. If the driveshaft fails while driving, not only will the car no longer have power to move but may go out of control and crash. *tr

Documentation on this vehicle was previously posted on 12/5/13. As noted; ongoing to transmission/ clutch problems post tsb repairs continue. My vehicle requires the clutch pedal to be engaged completely down to the floorboard during the initial key start process, thereafter; the clutch pedal must be engaged at a minimum to floorboard to the maximum of approximately 1 -2 inches off floorboard. Due to my height ( 5'3"), I am not comfortable seated so close to the steering wheel. I am concerned about possible bodily harm or injury due to airbag deployment beyond potentially common injuries due to air bag burns. I have taken the vehicle to my local Ford dealership to explore the option of clutch pedal adjustment, to no avail . I was told by the service advisor that the clutch is hydraulic,

Manual transmission shifting problem, many times I have experienced in 2nd and 5th gear that it is very hard to shift with clutch all the way in. In second gear I am around 10 MPH and at 5th gear I am around 50 MPH - 60 MPH. During cold start the shifting to second gear is even more impossible and it can cause an accident specially when crossing intersection because the vehicle does not go into 2nd gear right away. *tr

While driving my 2011 Ford mustang (with a v6 engine and automatic transmission) at 40mph on a local street, I experienced the vehicle unexpectedly losing power and a fault light in the form of a wrench appearing on the dashboard. The engine speed dropped down to idle and did not respond to any gas pedal operation. The cars engine remained running, however, the engine ran roughly as evidence of it shaking the entire car. The incident placed myself and other drivers around me in danger, as I had to move quickly to get my vehicle out of the moving traffic and into a safe place off the side of the road.

Corrosion issues under the paint on the hood of my mustang, 18050 mile, garage kept. Ford has had so many problems with corrosion issues under the paint on so many vehicles. Someone needs to address this for the consumer. Out of warranty is the only answer you get from Ford. The have known about this since 2004, still no results for the owners. You would be a [xxx] fool to buy one of the new f-150's due to steel to aluminum contact corrosion. It is going to happen, mark these words. Bought this 2011 Ford mustang on april 8 2011. Everything was fine for about this first month. Car did not want to start when clutch was pressed down had 800 miles at the time, classic Ford 1st dealer said needed a clutch adjustment? Its hydraulic there is no adjustment on them! They had the car for about 6 hours to tell me that. Clutch still felt funny ,started hearing grinding, shifter would get stuck in r,1,2,3,4 gears then it went out stuck in 2nd gear! 2nd dealer jim hudson Ford took it to had it for 3 weeks before I got it back car had 6,000 miles on it needed a brand new clutch system from what Ford said. It was not a recall on the car they said it was a bad design! Still is not right for Ford to push it under the rug like its not a big deal. These cars cost too much for us to be h
