2011 GMC Yukon owner complaints

Dashboard has two creaks at passage air bag. Vehicle also has takata recall with no resolution. I am concerned dash may injure passage if air bag inflates. Yukon always garaged, mileage 38,000.

Severely cracked dashboard. Vehicle is garaged and we use a sunshade when parked outside.

I first noticed a crack on the dash in front on the drivers side. Since noticing the first crack, other cracks have developed.

My 2011 GMC yukon denali the dashboard has cracked directly over the instrument cluster on the driver side. This is the same issue thousands of other owners of tahoe's, yukons, and escalade's are having. D ' literally cracked down the middle over the instrument cluster by no fault of my own. I did not miss use nor bang the dashboard it is a very common problem that is happened to thousands of other people. I just had to pay almost $400 to the dealer to have it replaced. Dashboard is cracking in multiple areas. One place is around the air bag . I am concerned that in a collision the deploying airbag would send dashboard debris through the cabin!

The dashboard in from of the driver's side has developed a large crack in it. The crack starts at the seam and goes almost to the front of the dashboard. It is about 9 - 10 inches long. The dashboard has also become separated where the front and back part come together in the middle. I have read where this is a common problem and could be considered a hazard in the event of an accident and the air bags deploying causing the dashboard to break apart and send sharp pieces of the dash flying through the interior. I have read where these cracks are very common on 2007 - 2013 gm trucks and suvs. It is considered to be a manufacturing deflect as it has happened to thousands of vehicles. Dashboard cracked - GMC yukon denali xl dashboard is cracking. Concerned about the safety hazard of the displaced dashboard and the ability of the passenger side airbag to deploy without sending shards of dashboard into the passenger's face, neck and upper body.

The dashboard above the instrument panel has cracked. This seems to be a common problem as researched on the internet. There looks to be a hair line crack around the passenger air bag. The concern is when air bag goes off does this throw shards of plastic into the air? This happened when the vehicle was stationary

Dash board unexpectedly cracked at the exact same spots on the driver side and passenger side. The location is over the airbags which could possibly turn the dash board into shrapnel if my family and I were to get into an accident. GMC said there is no recall and that they will not replace it.

While parked, a full-width crack formed in the an approximately 1-inch-wide section of the dashboard, immediately forward of the front passenger airbag compartment. I am concerned that, in the event of an airbag deployment, this compromise in dashboard integrity will create projectiles within the passenger compartment.

A 2011 GMC yukon denali was purchased brand new from hendrick durham auto mall in durham, nc. The vehicle has been kept in great condition and is serviced regularly. The dash has a large crack and splintering above the instrument cluster. After researching the issue many other GMC and Chevrolet products within this line are experiencing the same issue. This vehicle had a sticker cost over $60,000 and they refuse to fix the issue and only offer a discount. Vehicle stopped for traffic light on a city street intersection, would not progress. Had to be towed. Transmission went out & were told that this model, year and engine had a faulty transmission computer which LED to internal pump failure, affecting performance of torque converter.

Transmission defective @60,000 mile mark with initial sensation of getting bumped from behind when coming to a stop that the dealership routinely stated, "oh that's the way they allure". Dashboard disintegrating before my eyes with multiple plastic shards that will become deadly projectiles if ever in accident and who knows how bad it will get if air bags deploy.

I was on the highway driving through boston in the fast lane, going about 70mph when all of a sudden the stability control light came on with the check engine light and the engine reduced power light and my vehicle totally lost power to the gas pedal. I was able to get into the slow lane but my vehicle was not able to go faster than 35mph and there was hardly power to my gas pedal. Luckily, I made it to an off ramp, as I started to come to a stop, the engine was running very rough and it felt like it was shaking the vehicle back and forth. Large cracks in dash causing constant rattling noise.this occurred in less than a year purchase and has worsened the heating and cooling function of the seats failed within months of buying the vehicle new. Radio and navigation screen does not work at all.
