Front passenger seats rocks. It is not seated firmly in tracks. Honda and dealer say this is a "characteristic of the vehicle" and not a defect they can or will fix. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2011 Honda cr-v. The contact stated that the left and right rear seat head rests were defective. When he placed the child seat in the left and rear seats, he was unable to remove the head rest and the child seat could not securely lean against the seat; there was a large space between the child seat & vehicle seat. The contact called the manufacturer who sent instructions on how to remove the head rest but the contact was unable to do so. This car has killed 6 batteries in 5 years. The dealer just keeps saying everything is fine, but it frequently needs jump starts and battery replacements. There is no pattern as to weather conditions, just frequent failures at different times of year. I am reporting the most recent occurrence, but it has happened many times in 5 years. My son has been stranded many times.
Automatic door locks have failed on numerous occasions. All 4 doors are affected at different times, but dealer could only replicate one door failure. I am reporting only the most recent failure date but this has been intermittent problem for 3 years.
It seems all door locks are buzzing and have difficulty opening/closing. It happens during unlocking and locking of doors using either the remote key or regular key. Also makes buzzing noise when running the 1st 0-10mph (from most full stop). It seems to happen more often on the driver and right passenger doors. Bought this used car in mid-2023.
In may, 2014, the right rear power window quit working and would not go back up after having it completely down. I toggled the window switch a few times and the window eventually went back up, so I thought it was just a glitch. We live in arizona where the summertime is very hot, so the window was never used again due to air conditioning. The window was used recently because the weather has cooled down from the summer heat. This time, toggling the switch did not work and the window stayed in the down position completely. I took the Honda cr-v to a local Honda dealership which diagnosed the issue as a faulty master power window switch. I've researched and discovered there have been numerous issues with faulty master power window switches on several different Honda models. There are

There is an "air bag" warning light on in this vehicle. When hooked up to computer it reads "air bag inflater" problem. Older models of Honda's have had recall notices for this problem. I called billion Honda in iowa city, ia and they responded "no recall" on this vehicle and "not covered under warranty" and were rude on the phone. Warrant states 15 years or 150k mile warranty on "safety restraints". With past history and warranty coverage I would think they would correct this problem before the liability becomes greater. *tr
We pulled our Honda crv 2011 into a parking lot at bonefish grill in canton ohio on november 30, 2014. My mother was pulling into a parking spot and the accelerator moved to the floor and the car could not be stopped by slamming on the brakes. We ended up running into a car parked in front of us then a car to the left of us and then the car was finally stopped when we ran into the side of another car parked in the lot where it finally came to rest. The air bags did not deploy, and we were not injured. We were very scared and there was substantial damage to the 3 other cars as well as our own. We have read online the stories of others that had very similar situations with this particular make and model vehicle. We do not plan on ever getting in this vehicle again and will not trust an
Takata recall , air bag inflator replaced at dealer. Drivers seat sliding when taking off or stopping. Dealer diagnosis said front drivers seat needs upper and lower bushings. Noticed this problem close to the end of first two years, only if husband drives it. Later with all drivers. Paid $53.32 on oct 27 2016 for diagnostics.

Vehicle bought new in 2011 and only one owner. In early 2015, my vehicle went from having my oil changed between 5000 and 7000 miles to barely making it to 3000. Vehicle manufacture recommends synthetic oil and is the only type of oil that has ever been used for this vehicle. No oil was leaking form vehicle and no evidence of oil leakage under hood when checked. Oil changed multiple times with same result. Information was received from Honda regarding extension on warranty due to possible high oil consumption & was stated that oil consumption test could be completed at Honda dealership. Honda dealership began test in october 2015 and was completed in february 2016. .8 quarts used after first 1000 miles, 1quart used after 2000miles and .8quarts after 3000miles. After each check, 1 quart oil
The engine suddenly accelerated in a parking garage. The brakes slowed the car on the first acceleration, but almost immediately the engine again revved-- to a shrill, loud sound like that of a jet engine. Result : car rammed into a support pillar in the garage; airbag deployed, and I was wearing my seat belt. Car may be totaled, still awaiting estimate from insurance. I spent 4 days in the hospital for surgery on my broken arm, multiple bruises and swollen face, and will not be able to drive for 3-4 months. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 Honda cr-v. The contact stated that while stopped, there was a rapid increase in the engine rpms. The failure continued until the contact shifted into neutral. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they were unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 14,210.
I was accelerating from an on ramp to enter the highway. After I was in the flow of traffic, I hit my brakes to keep pace with the traffic. My brake pedal would only move slightly and the engine was reving. I moved the shifter to neutral and the engine was still revving. I then hit the button on the side of the gear shift to put the car in d3 and continue to try the brakes. The brakes finally started working I put on my 4 way flashers and moved to the side of the highway and put the car in park. As I sat there I kept testing the brakes to insure the pedal would move toward the floor and kept revving the engine to be sure it would slow down when I removed my foot from the gas. I did call the local Honda service center and they said unless they were able to replicate the problem, they

Drivers side door lock is stuck and will not open. I had to crawl out of the passenger door to exit the vehicle. After exiting the car I tried locking and unlocking the car using the fab. Once the doors were locked none of the doors would open using the fab even though the fab was visibly working. I had to call AAA to come unlock the car. I can unlock all of the doors from the inside except for the drivers door. If I lock my car I will be locked out out of it, so my vehicle is now not secure. This is the first time this has happened.
I have always known that after entering the vehicle and beginning a trip, all four doors and hatch would automatically lock and stay locked until a passenger unlocked one of the doors. But sometime this past weekend, I began noticing that the vehicle would try to relock all doors EVERY time the vehicle accelerated after idling, which is quite often. When I pointed this out to my teenager in the front passenger seat, she noticed that the door behind the driver's seat was not locking during each attempt. She tried to lock all doors from her door, but that one would not lock. Then I tried to lock all doors from my door, but that one would not lock. When we returned home, I tried to lock all doors from my key fob, but that one would not lock. I also tried to lock that one manually with my hand

Scheduled recall to be looked at, however my local dealership called me the day of appointment to tell me they do not have the part for that and would need to order it and then schedule my appointment. So the person ordered it and then I had to call back to see if the part came in yet. Upon looking at my car on a lift, they told me they would have to charge me to fix the car because the lug nut they stripped looking at my vehicle was stripped. I was not willing to pay them so the dealership sent me home. I called back to see how to fix it and they never offered me an answer. It’s been needing the recall for years since and no Honda dealership is able to fix it.
