Brought my 2011 Hyundai sonata to jackson firestone bryant automotive in jackson, nj to service brakes. The owner/technician of the service center said he observed a click in the steering when he drove it into the service center garage. He investigated the issue and found the steering column shaft "coupler" was not fastened or tightened as necessary. He warned me (the owner) that it was unsafe to drive the car. He proceeded to fix the breaks and offered to repair the steering issue but suggested I bring it a Hyundai dealership. I brought the sonata to freehold, nj Hyundai dealership where they confirmed the problem with the steering. I had the steering fixed at freehold Hyundai and was charged $390.00.

On december 10, 2013 I was getting into my car and when I put the keys into ignition and turned the car on the eps light came on, so I then went into the glove compartment to get the sonata book out to see what that means the steering wheel started shaking violently. I was so scared that the car was going to blow, I turned the car off, and took the keys out to see if it would stop, but it didn't, it was still shaking. I then had to get the car towed to porter Hyundai. They then recalibrated the steering angle sensor and cleared the code. Then on sunday december 29, 2013 my son was driving the car and while he was driving the eps light came on and the steering wheel started shaking violently again while he was driving, it was very hard for him to get control of the vehicle. He tried turni

2011 Hyundai sonata se 2.0t the vehicle has a consistent pull to the left that is always present; it is more noticeable at speeds above 45mph. The pull to the left is significant enough to cause the vehicle to change lanes quickly and dangerously if the wheel is left unattended for a few seconds. Constant driver input to turn the wheel right is always needed to counteract this tendency to pull left. Turning the steering wheel to the left requires significantly less effort than turning the wheel to the right. This issue occurs on all roads, regardless of the travel lane, crown, or pavement type. The issue occurs under constant speed, acceleration, and deceleration (with or without applying the brakes). Additionally, the steering wheel does not appear to be perfectly centered when t

My radio hasn't worked all year. When I took it to the mechanic he informed me there is a recall on it and the company should fix it. Otherwise it would be appx $1000 just for the radio. Neither of my brake lights are working. Initially, it was just the passenger side. I have replaced it 4x this yr. A mechanic told me he believes it is an electrical problem. My brother informed me this weekend that I have absolutely zero lights in the back. This is dangerous. *I asked the dealership twice to check my radio when I had my car there for other work (oil change, etc). The first time they said they forgot. The second time they told me they didn't have time. I feel they know there is a recall on the radio and just avoided checking it out.

Oil light blinked on and off twice. Car was making a knocking noise. Stopped to check oil; absolutely no oil in the vehicle. No sign of leak; no smoking; no other indication of problem. Put 3 quarts of oil in the car. Knocking sound was worse. Drove car home and haven't driven it since. This is one of many problems I've had with this car. I get regular oil changes. I haven't had the car looked at yet due to cost and out of warranty. I've read other complaints of loss of oil resulting in complete engine failure. There was absolutely no indication that the oil was even low which I attribute to the faulty electrical system since I've had problems with that as well. It's my opinion that this car is unsafe to drive. I've read this year model has over 900 problems while other year

12/30/2016 Crash ODI #10938757.0

I was driving down fm 2410 in harker heights, texas going about 50 miles an hour the speed limit. Came upon a curve and started to apply my brakes to slow down. As I was applying my brakes I heard a scrapping sound and the brake pedal seemed not to be functioning as required. The brakes locked up (as evidence looking at the skid marks some 15 to 20 feet long) the car seemed to be accelerating instead of slowing down. At the same time, I was trying to take my foot of the break and turn my steering wheel to regain total control of the car. The car turn slightly to the right as shown by the skid marks went off the road thru the ditch on the side of the road thru a field fence with barb wire on top and into a cedar tree as shown in the enclosed pictures. *tr

2011 sonata 2.0t. No braking pressure when cold, slow to stop until car warms up, noise is heard from what sounds like the ABS pump or power brake assist pump. Took to a dealer and was told the noise is a strut tower bar and motorworld group in wilkes-barre refuses to look any father on this issue unless I pay to have the tower bar removed and rechecked. I have 1500 miles on the car and dealer is refusing to correctly diagnose issues unless I pay for it. This is a 2011 sonata 2.0t se. The sound is definitely not the tower bar as I can remake the sound on other cars after using brakes very hard. These brakes are very soft and the noise is easy heard and sounds like a pump and a vibration in the pedal. *tr
