I love this vehicle but it's suddenly started having a rough idle and with a scan tool detects multiple misfires and several codes due to timing, in which case the timing chain has been worn out call the dealership to see if the timing chain recall for the m56 was done to my car they said it was VIN specific now I am stuck with a vehicle that is very dangerous to be driven.
Driveshaft malfunctioning. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Driveshaft malfunctioning is causing the vehicle to shake violently at speeds above 60 mph. My safety and others safety is put at risk when I'm accelerating above 60 mph and the vehicle begins to shake violently causing the vehicle to veering into on coming traffic or nearby lanes. This problem has been reproduced and confirmed by an independent service center. The vehicle hasn't been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. This problem first appeared about 4 years ago but progressively gotten worse. In December 13, 2020 — An Infiniti driveshaft recall includes more than 2,
We have been trying to resolve this problem through Infiniti service center since we bought the car 10 months ago with only 28k miles. The vehicle has severe hesitation when attempting to accelerate immediately after slowing or stopping. On several occasions when stepping on the gas to make a left or right turn into traffic from a complete stop, the vehicle hesitates for approximately 2 seconds, and then jerks suddenly and goes. I have had several near misses from oncoming traffic as a result of this with my child in the car!! Also, while in automatic drive the vehicle repeatedly will not go into gear when removing foot from brake to accelerator, but instead rolls backward (similar to a manual transmission) forcing me to immediately hit the brake pedal to prevent collision into vehicles
Driving this car is very fun and I have enjoyed the car very much but just last week I noticed a smell like burning rubber or oil, come to find out the next day I was dripping oil only not a steady drip but a drip only from driving, once I stop and the car cools the drip stops. I have research and found that there could be a problem with some bolts to the oil filter that attaches to the block but when I called Infiniti they don't see it nor will they look at the car unless I pay. This isn't a seal or gasket this is a very bad leak, my research came from a 2012 long term road test on a 2011 Infiniti m56 and states this will become a recall but never did? *tr
I started the car up and started to drive to work about 3 miles into driving the check engine light came on followed by revs with no power or speed gain and the vehicle was giving me around 15mph to the point where I couldn't gain much more speed and had to pull off the road. There was a voluntary service campaign for the timing chain but it has since expired and now I am stuck with the repairs.

My drivers side door lock actuator does not allow the drivers door to be opened if its below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. We just got a bomb cyclone bringing snow and for the second winter in a row (new actuator installed last winter for same complaint) my actuator has failed. I di not know what is going on with infiniti’s parts but every person i know who has newer infiniti has to get their actuator changed every year because the car locks them inside. If there were to be a crash or a fire or some type of emergency, I…along with every infiniti owner would have to attempt to escape their car through another door or risk death.
The door lock actuators fail to work for the doors both inside and outside if the temperature gets below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. (Also within this weather, my outer door handle which is physically attached to said actuator) has broken off. I've repaired one actuator with an aftermarket one but the drivers door actuator is only made by Infiniti. The cost of the part alone is $800 the labor is another $300. The risk is that in the case of a crash, engine fire, and/or severe mechanical failure, I will be unable to exit my vehicle and will subsequently die should such an situation occur. I've spoken to several mechanics that tell me it's quite common with Nissans and infiniti's. I've seen on dozens of forums that they believe there should be a recall on this since it's been happening for 20+yea
The dashboard on this car is melting and cracking. It has 62k miles on it and is garage kept. The melted dash creates a glare on the windshield that makes it difficult to see sometimes. *tr
Here is a copy of a blog. I have bought 6 battery's in 4 years. I have been stranded with the family late at night paid for many tow trucks. Taken my car to infinity dealers with no success. Please read this blog.. Https://x.infinitihelp.com/forum/showthread.php/2011-m37x-battery-problemsi-7942.html 4 pages of peolple having the same issue with there Infiniti. I am told I have to pay for a 1200 module that maybe will fix the problem. This is not a problem that anyone would notice in the first couple of years because you think the battery is at fault. Infiniti fix the issue in 2014 but did not do a recall on prior m37/56.

Issue: passenger seat belt light continues to remain on after the passenger is no longer sitting on the seat. Root cause from dealer: defective passenger occupancy sensor. Only way to turn off the seat belt light is to either put the passenger seat belt on or turn on and off the car. I noticed when I purchased the Infiniti 2011 m56 the seat belt light would remain on after a passenger has been sitting on the passenger front seat and exits the vehicle. The passenger just needs to sit on the passenger side for a few minutes to exhibit this problem. This is a safety concern as I don't know if the airbag will deploy properly as the occupancy sensor is falsely triggering a passenger is sitting in the passenger side. The airbag light indicator will sometimes be on or off when the seat
My solenoid switch went bad on me and needed to be replaced, took it to the Infiniti dealership and they corrected the problem so I thought until oct 13 when I kept hearing this noise coming from my hook like a squealing noise.. Took it back to the dealership and found out it was the timing chain, which I was told had nothing to do with the solenoid switch that was previously fixed.. Found out that was a lie and that they go hand in hand with each other and they wanted to charge me 1400 dollars just to look at the problem and another 2,000 to fix the issue, well it turns out that Infiniti already knew that this was a problem with the solenoid being to small to pump the required old to where its suppose to go and never did a recall or anything but they are trying to say if its out of warran

4was and stability control warning lights come on when driving over rough asphalt, or turning right or left and road is rough. The rear of the car feels unstable and steering wheel is off-center. The lights are on until the car is turned off. When the car is turned on again and before the warning symbols come back on, the steering wheel is centered and car drives fine. Infiniti has recommended replacing the hicas actuator. This has not resolved the problem for Infiniti owners and are then recommended to replace the 4was control box. Replacing the control box also does not resolve the issue. I have read and joined a Nissan/Infiniti forum where owners that have this exact problem have followed the recommendation from the Nissan and Infiniti dealership and still have the warning lights on. I
brakes 1 complaint shown
When you go to apply the brake it often locks up and stops immediately. This is an issue that comes and goes. It also at the same time it is stopping abruptly without applying the brake completely it will do the opposite and the brake will deflate all the way to the floor before stopping. While stop it will lose pressure and the brake will slowly go to the floor. Have taken it several places and they can not fix. Have had almost all brake parts replaced and or checked. This happens ever time brakes are applied for a week or so then goes away then comes back periodically. Has been happening for over a year. Mechanics have encoiuntered the issue and can not figure out what is causing it, including Infiniti.
engine 1 complaint shown
This car had an unexplained episode of sudden engine power loss and deceleration followed by engine shutdown and temporary inability to restart the engine. While traveling at approximately 60 MPH on a slightly inclined highway, I suddenly felt that the car needed to downshift but it was not doing so. As I continued to exert additional pressure on the accelerator, the car began to noticeably and quickly lose engine power. The power steering and power brakes worked normally, and I was able to pull off the road, by which time the engine had stopped running. I estimate I traveled approximately one half mile from the first sign of trouble. There were no unusual sounds or odors. If any warning lights came on, I did not notice them. Tl* the contact owns a 2011 infinti ex35. The contact stated that the brake and accelerator pedals were positioned very close to one another. The contact also stated that the pedals were positioned at the same height levels. The contact attempted to brake on several occasions and accidentally depressed the accelerator pedal as well. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there were no remedies for the failure. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 17,000. The VIN was not available.
