Takata recall: NHTSA recall # 16v-081 the manufacturer, Mercedes-benz, is unable to remedy the safety recall for my car. It has been over a year since I received the first recall notice for the driver-side airbags and nothing has been done. I contacted Mercedes-benz several times. They do not have the parts to repair the air bags yet they have the time, resources and technologies to develop and produce new cars. Knowing that I am driving a car with defective air bags that could injure or kill is causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. I bought this car several year ago with the idea that my son would drive it. This car is unsafe and deadly. The deployment of the airbag can result in metal fragments striking the driver or passengers. It is unacceptable that, almost 2 years after the takata

Takata recall I've had this recall on the car ever since I've purchased it and I don't have a piece of mind driving or having my passenger ride in my car with me. There seems to not be a solution to get this fixed at the dealership. This is a very dangerous recall and I need to know what I can do to expedite the process.

I bought a care from Mercedes benz in 2015 in pompano beach, florida. On may 2016, I had received a letter from Mercedes benz stating that there is a defect that has been detected with driver-side seat airbags. In august 2016, I had received another letter stating that the passenger 'side airbag inflator housing in my vehicle may rupture due to excessive internal pressure. Since I have received those letters, I have been really terrified to the idea that I and my kids are at risk if I have an accident. I had been involved in a deadly accident in 2012; I am alive today because the air bag was working properly. Since I have received that notice, I have to limit my driving. I have got to the point now that I am so scared that I am afraid of driving on any highways and expressways with the car

Headlight bulbs failed. Owners manual states that the low beam bulb on the driver's side can be replaced by simply removing back cover, inserting hand and removing and replacing bulb. However, this is fraudulent. Every mechanic and the Mercedes dealers state that the bumper and possibly fender must be removed to replace this SAFETY item. The bulb went out on a trip and could not be replaced even though the bulb was readily available and I purchased it at a Walmart but could not replace it. Even though the Walmart replaced bulbs, after I waited 2 hours they told me they could not do it. I took it to two mechanics and they said they "did not have time" since it required disassembly of the vehicle. The Mercedes dealership said they could not provide an estimate because it required substantial

Because of the low quality of the plastic, which was used in the fuel pump body on my glk350, formed a crack on both bodies of the fuel tanks. Fuel is coming out directly under the rear seat and dripping down to the road. This is a safety hazard, and could cause a possibility of fire.
