The transmission doesn't shift into gear easily as well as jumps out of first gear when taking off from stop. When shifting into 3rd and 5th it is difficult to shift into while moving. This is a dangerous situation when driving. All upper gears are difficult to shift into. The clutch failed twice in less than 40k miles then the replacement failed after only 1,000. Not sure if they are related.

I own a Mitsubishi lancer evolution x gsr 2011. I purchased this vehicle on february 2013 brand new. By the end of september 2013 (7 months) I had about 15,000 miles on the vehicle and I started experiencing a problem with the acceleration of the vehicle. The gear was engaging properly but there was a delay on getting traction to the wheels. The engine ramped up several rpms before the car started accelerating in any gear. On october 2nd 2013 I took the vehicle to the Mitsubishi dealership and I was told that I have to replace the clutch because it was worn off. I could not believe this since the vehicle was fairly new and I have never experienced this problem before, all my previous vehicles have had manual transmission. I also got the vehicle checked with two local mechanics and the

The ayc pump failed by displaying a blinking tarmac light. It constantly flashes while driving. The ayc pump correlates with the steering and stability control for the rear differential. This is a big hazard. The ayc pump should be relocated to the trunk compartment so it is not exposed to weather conditions like snow and rain. This will protect the ayc pump from failing. The warranty will not cover this failed pump at all. *tr

4wd system service required light came on with less than 40000 miles, this was caused by a malfunctioning acd pump. Pump is located behind the rear right side tire and is exposed to elements. Car was in new york state for 4 years and driven on snow/salted roads. Pump has corroded. This is a known problem with the ralliarts and evolutions. Dealership refuses to cover under the power train warranty, they say this is a luxury item and also becuase there were modifications made to the car. The modifications made have no impact on the corrosion of the pump.

After filling up on gasoline, my 4 year old mentioned that she smelled gas in the car. I immediately got home and pulled into my garage and smelled it, too. Then next morning, my garage was overwhelmed with the fumes. After having a mechanic inspect the car, he found gas was leaking from the top of the tank, where the fuel pump goes. Apparently, it was completely corroded, which caused the plastic fuel pump housing attached to it to crack and subsequently leak fuel everywhere. This fuel pump housing is located directly beneath my son's car seat, on the driver's side back seat. This is a serious fire hazard. After reaching out to other owners of the same vehicle, apparently this corrosion is very common. But my car is not even 6 years old, with only 48k miles (purchased it new on 12/27/20

While driving the vehicle the headlights will turn off at random intervals. The passenger side rear tail light is out and remains out despite changing the bulb. Water leaks through a gap in the body into the light and the trunk. Headlights need to be reliable in order to ensure safety and visibility, especially at night and during inclement weather. My father is a retired auto mechanic and has been doing his best to troubleshoot the problem. I am experiencing financial hardship at the moment and I cannot afford to bring my vehicle anywhere that would charge. There are no warnings, the lights just stop working periodically and the tail light stopped working about a week ago.

This car we own was in a accident the whole front end was pushed in cause it hit a mercury mountaineer. The geico adjuster couldnt beleive that the airbags did not deploy nor the seatbelt retracted! The only thing that saved my wife was the seatbelt for a sec and hitting the steering wheel. The adjuster also had said that the sensors for the air bags were tripped and it did not work. This is a huge safety issue! Geico is filing a subrogation claim against Mitsubishi since we called mistsubishi and they didnt want to do anything about it. Marias at mistubishi just said to file a claim with our insurance without even sending their own people to check out the vehicle. Marieas can be reached at 18886487820 claim number 1254613189. The consequences of this tire failure after only 3 months after buying my car with the manufacturers tires that came with the car I paid $200 to get that tire repaired. Nothing was done by the company to compensate for the issue. I wanted to know what yokohama can do to fix my problem. *tr
