While driving with traffic on 6 lane road with 45 MPH speed limit, the vehicle, a 2012 Chevrolet camaro convertible, was struck from the rear by a box truck at speed causing a significant delta-v event. Upon initial impact, the steering wheel, airbag, ignition lock, turn signal and wiper switch assembly, spline shaft and metal cylinder from the tilt/telescoping assembly separated from the vehicle as a single assembly. The steering wheel assembly struck the driver in the chest and jaw, breaking the mandible in multiple places. Driver also sustained compression fracture of the t12 vertebra among other injuries. The vehicle continued moving forward after the initial impact but driver could not steer with the separated steering wheel. Vehicle drifted off the right side of the road striking

I have been having a lot of problems with my steering on this vehicle. I was driving my car and was in a turn when the steering wheel kicked back the opposite direction I was turning and I nearly went off the road. The force was so great that it actually injured my shoulder when the steering wheel kicked back. The steering in the car has since been so sloppy that I am scared to drive it, the car is all over the road. I took the car to the dealer and was told the vehicle needed to be aligned. I took the vehicle to my local tire store and they checked the alignment which was all in factory specs. I am experiencing similar issues to those identified in GM bulletin 07-06-04-019F. I keep getting DTC P2138. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The throttle/accelerator system. Yes. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The Accelerator Pedal Position signal is unreliable which is now derating my engine. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings prior to the failure. I just get the DTC and an engine derate message
Ignition gets stuck in on position after key is removed. Ignition does not cut on radio at times. I have to open the door to reset Ignition system so radio can play. Faulty Ignition switch needs replacing

Having problems with torque converter when trying to accelerate
In may, started to feel a vibration/shimmy of some sort when accelerating in all sorts of speeds. Took vehicle to dealership and they could not duplicate. Vibration/shimmy continued and gradually become more frequent so took vehicle back to dealership in june in which the tech test drove and was able to duplicate the issue. Was told he was not the transmission expert so they had the so called transmission expert test drive and he was unable to duplicate the problem. Took my car back to the dealership the very next day and it was determined to be the torque converter. The transmission had to be flushed due to metal shavings in the transmission.
