I recently started to experience hard steering while in transit the power assist light came on and so does the advanced track warning light. I discovered there was a recall so I took it in to the Ford dealership, which was JC Lewis Ford in Savannah, Georgia, but the technician told me that there were too many miles and after 150,000 miles, the recall was null and void

I purchase this car used with 15000 km on, issue occurred at 73000km. Ford fusion 2012 sel AWD I was driving to work and the steering locked up, it was extremely hard to steer. I drove it directly to the dealership. Benton fry Ford belleville, on they inspected it and indicated that the controls arms needed to replaced. I told them to go head the approx.. Cost was $1000.00. However it is still possible that I would need to replace the power steering rack which would cost $2200.00. The resolution was that they would replace the controls arms and not do the alignment, to see if the power steering would go again within a week. I drove it for a week and found nothing wrong with it. So I drop it off for the alignment to be completed. At the dealer ship the mechanic test drove it and found that

The contact parked on the side of the roadway and the steering wheel seized. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to skyline Ford (2510 commercial st se, salem, or 97302, (503) 581-2411) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the power steering gear assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 15v340000 (steering) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.

At about 98500 miles, power steering stopped working. 2 alternating dash warning lights kept flashing; Service Advance Trac, Power Steering Assist Fault. This sounded like it related to a known recall for electronic steering problem for my year and model but, Ford said my Vin was not included. I brought it to the dealer, with white knuckles, as it was very hard to turn the wheel and if I had to make a quick steering move to avoid an accident, I don't think I would've been able to. The dealer (Balise Ford, Hyannis MA) performed an expensive repair as follows: They said steering angle sensor signal invalid and PSCM internal failure. They replaced steering rack, tie rods and jam nuts. They performed PMI and configured PCSM. Aligned vehicle. I still think my service should have been perf

Information center in the instrument cluster flashed on saying advance trac, then service power steering now. Luckily my husband was driving and was strong enough to keep it on the road till we could come to a stop cause we lost our steering immediately after the warning light had come on. After doing some research I found that this is a similar recall for Ford in 2015. However my VIN number is not displaying the recall fornthenpower steering issue. This is a very dangerous situation.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at approximately 40 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the brakes failed to engage. The contact stated that the parking brake was used to slow and stop the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 137,221.

On september 26, 2014, I was involved in an accident as we were driving on a city street to where my passenger seat belt did not work upon frontal head on impact or my airbags didnt go off causing me to collide into the dash board. This caused ligament tearing in my right hand/shoulder as that was the initial impact. Now I have to continue to suffer from limitations on the use of my right hand/shoulder complications. For the brake issue beginning december 1, 2019. It has come up that the emergency brake is sticking and tearing through my brakes as I am driving on the street or even highway causing it to smoke around my back tires. I nearly lost my life once, and do not want it to happen again, but when checking brake recalls it's only up to a 2010 model and I have a 2012 model. This issu

The vehicle did restart after several attempts without shaking violently, however, the failure recurred on several occasions while driving at 40 MPH and over.
