Takata recall, the airbags turn off when going downhill on a street and highway when trying to use the brakes and while not using the brake. This happens when the car is in motion. This continues to occur and has happened more then once.

The side curtain airbag on the passenger deployed when the car slightly grazed a snowbank. There wasn't an "impact" between the car and the snowbank. The car speed was less than 10 MPH turning a corner on a residential street. There was absolutely no damage at all to the car. Not a nick or a scratch. The dirt didn't even move on the car. There was no reason for the airbag to deploy.
The passenger side airbag sign keeps coming out to tell the driver the airbag is disabled sometimes when there is a person who sits on the passenger side of the vehicle. Also received a recall of months ago but the dealer keeps saying everything is fine no recall on the list. It happened since the day I purchased in 2012 and it happens very often recently.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 Honda civic. The contact stated while traveling 4 to 5 MPH a crash occurred. The air bag failed to deploy. There was no mention of an injury. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the actuator for the air bag failed and needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 12,000 and the current mileage was 20,000.
Honda civic 2012 has a defective passenger side airbag sensor system. My son who is 14 years old and 102 lbs sits in the passenger seat. When he makes any shifts like lean on one side or the other, the auto warns the airbag is off. We see this warning with big illumination. When the passenger centers himself on the seat, the warning goes away. The lean can be on any side. The slightest lean such that his left leg is not putting all the weight can trigger this. I have reported this to the dealer and he says this is by design. I have reported this to Honda motor company and they are logged a report. I have never seen this with Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai. Even with a younger kid it does not trigger airbag warning. So this is Honda civic defect which can be catastrophic in acci
Was driving on freeway in heavy traffic, car in front braked, hit brakes and they just went to the floor with no effort to stop the vehicle. Slammed into car in front with our 4 and 5 year old boys in back seat. Geico called the car a total loss. Honda refuses to inspect the car in fear of manufacturer defects. To make it worse the airbags didn't deploy. Roads were dry, no ice or anything else to cause inability to stop. *tr

There is a latency delay between my phone and bluetooth of about 4 seconds and has been that way since I purchased the vehicle.
Applied water from a garden hose to the roof of my car in an effort to remove leaves and other vegetative debris that was stuck to the body of the vehicle. When I applied water at regular pressure to the roof, large sections of paint came off of the roof. I have filed a case with american Honda but they are arguing this particular paint color does not fall under the current class action lawsuit. However, it is very obvious the paint that was applied to the roof of my car failed due to a defect.
There is no accident, here is problem: I have 6840 miles on a 2012 Honda civic lx 4dr. When fuel tank filled to all the way, the fuel was slapping about front to back while hit brake or parking. It makes a loud noise and fuel slam into the wall of fuel tank. I went to Honda local dealer and they tell me this is normal, you are not first one to complaint, but there is no service bulletin to it. This is unsafe, 10 gal gas flow in tank will throw off the balance while you make turns, or cause damage sensors in the tank, or cause fuel system leak even fire. *tr
steering 3 complaints shown
A few hours ago (2012 civic si) the check power steering system indicator came on as I was leaving the parking lot. It was heck trying to steer back into parking. Called the dealer; but since it was closing time, he advised me to call back in the a.m. The engine seems to be revving itself when I'm in neutral. It's been doing this for several months. This was the first time that the power steering stopped. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 Honda civic. The contact stated as the vehicle entered the driveway on an incline the vehicle began to move in reverse. The gear shift was in drive when the failure occurred three times. There was also a clanking noise when the gears changed automatically and whenever the contact made a left or right turn the steering wheel did not return to its normal position. The vehicle will be taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 994.
I began to pull out of the parking lot of my workplace to head towards the freeway when suddenly my steering stops working. I work in a very busy area and traffic is very busy. Luckily, there was a red light and that I am a safe driver because if I would have gotten on the freeway I would have most likely gotten into a fatal accident. I am also very fortunate that the weather did not end up being inclement as it was predicted to be. I have heard of other people having the same issue with their 2012-2013 Honda civics. Shouldn't they initiate a recall process because this isn't safe.

The vehicle seems to burn oil very fast even though it has been maintained properly throughout the years. I've had to fill up the oil 3 times between oil changes due to this issue and no leaks have been found after a thorough search.
Vehicle frequently stalls when turning left after coming to a stop, very dangerous when oncoming traffic, read numerous other complaints online, Honda needs to fix this problem before someone hurt/killed (if not already, and how would we know because of their negligence to fix this problem despite all the complaints?), and no it is not due to "left foot braking"

I was driving a 2012 Honda civic when the car in front of me slammed on their brakes and came to a complete stop due to something in the road. I slammed on my brakes and tried to avoid the car in front of me by swerving to the right. The driver side of the front of my car hit the back of the car in front of me. My car was completely smashed in the front. Air bags did not deploy. After I came to a complete stop, my car lit on fire. The car was burned and completely destroyed. *js
While I was diving on 1st october night, my dash light was suddenly turned off. In Honda civic speedometer is digital, so it was turned off too. So I was driving without checking the speed. Later I took my car to a nearest Honda dealer to diagnose the problem but they refused to diagnose. I reported this problem, many times to Honda customer service but they didn't take any action so that the dealer can diagnose or fix the problem. Regarding this problem,I also wrote a mail to american Honda's ceo but got no reply till now. As a result I am driving this car with this problem and my life is at risk. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 Honda civic. While driving at speeds below 40 MPH and accelerating, the contact heard a grinding noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. No further information was available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 57,000.

The brakes drag each time the brakes are applied, this is a constant issue. It has been for sometime now. *js
powertrain 1 complaint shown
This has happened more than once. When descending a hill after letting up on gas pedal the vehicle will rev up for a few of seconds and hitting the brakes did not disengage throttle, also when passing another vehicle after pulling in and let up on pedal the car still revved up for a couple of seconds. Have not taken to a dealer yet as I am trying to find exactly how and when this problem occurs so I can get the dealer to reproduce this problem (speed, road conditions, and any other conditions that might cause this problem). As we all know they can never get the problems to reproduce. *tr
