Passenger air bag not working due to a faulty pressure switch in passenger seat. The problem occurred when the vehicle was driving 60 MPH down a straight smooth highway.

In may 2018 the airbag light came on.I immediately called the dealership concerning this matter like the car manual stated.the service representative told me to bring the vehicle in for service.when I brought the car to the dealership, theservice representative ask to see the warranty papers.after looking at the warranty papers,he said the airbag isn't cover under the warranty.I'm driving a unsafe vehicle and still making monthly payments.what good is it to have a car warranty that does not cover the airbag?this is a part that saves lives.

This is a follow up to a compliant that I put in early this year or late last year. There is not much discussion of the failed occupancy sensor for the passenger front airbag on this website, but it does get discussed online more often. I am not sure why Infiniti says the entire seat must be replaced ($5,000 or so) rather than just replacing the sensor. Also, the seat has now been discontinued. It's unfortunate that there is no other solution that I am aware of other than finding a discontinued seat.

2012 Infiniti G25x: Occupancy sensor failed (diagnostic code B1018) around 132,000 miles. This is a common problem with Infiniti cars. Apparently for 2007 and 2008, there were recalls, but this problem continued into later years with no recall. The cost I was quoted to repair this (replacing the entire passenger seat) was $5,000, which is not practical for a 12 year old car. Although I haven't been able to get an exact answer, it seems that this failure not only shuts off the front passenger airbag, but the entire SRS system (all airbags and all pretensioners) - I haven't been able to get a definite answer from multiple dealers that I contacted or from the Infiniti national customer service. Otherwise, the car has been the most reliable car I ever owned, but there should be at least

Last Friday, 7/25/21, while driving home from work, my car instrument panel, speed odometer, everything went totally black, I lost steering and pulled into a 7-11 parking lot. The passenger side of the car was smoking. I was locked in as door unlock wouldn’t work, nothing would work. I was unable to turn the car off and literally felt like I could pass out from smoke inhalation quickly called 911. People in the parking lot were trying to unlock my door to get me out of the vehicle. The fire department arrived and after a few minutes were able to get me out, but the car would not turn off. They forced the hood open and had to cut the cables to the battery to turn it off. It was terrifying!!! I can’t imagine what would have happened if I had been on the Turnpike or major Highway, I’m sure I

Took our car in for inspection and mechanic pointed out that all 4 tires were dry rotted and needed to be replaced immediately because it is dangerous to drive with these tires. Car is a 2012 infinity gx25 and car has only 18,000 miles on it. Both car dealer and goodyear store said they were not responsible. Because of danger, we are having the tires replaced. *tr

Puddles of water leak into the car on the driver and front passenger side due to plastic clamps in the dash that a fragile and break. The water flows from sunroof drainage tubes that continue to be blocked when it rains. I had them replaced in june 2016 when the car was under warranty and they are broken again. The car is no longer under warranty and it cost $1665 to replace plus I paid $150 at the dealership for the inspection. The manufacturer is aware of the defective parts and only warrants their defective parts for 1 year. I am one month past the 12 month period. The service department said that some electrically parts will malfunction if they get wet from the drainage.

While driving I-459 southbound, from grants mill rd towards hoover, traveling in the center lane, a rock hit my windshield, causing a crack. This incident happened during the height of the resurfacing project on 459. I am just now reporting this, because I was not aware of this section of your website. However, I am certain this happened due to debris from the resurfacing project. *tr
