Tl* the contact owns a 2012 Jeep patriot. While refueling the vehicle, the fuel sensor indicated that the fuel level was full; however, when the fuel nozzle was pulled back, the vehicle was able to receive additional fuel. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to dick's country Chrysler Jeep Dodge (767 sw baseline st, hillsboro, or 97123), but the cause of the failure was not determined. The contact was informed that the fuel tank could be replaced. The vehicle was currently at the dealer for repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000.

Unknown: Something is wrong with the gas tank. When refueling, it's nearly impossible to activate the latch on the pump handle without the pump immediately stopping. To refuel, I have to gently squeeze the trigger to enable a very slow flow of fuel. To fill the tank, while gently activating the trigger, takes approximately 15-20 minutes. In the past, you could depress the trigger and activate the locking catch and fill up in 3-4 minutes depending on the pressure of the gas station system. I don't know if this issue points to a safety problem, however, clearly it's a defect. I consulted the Jeep dealership and they recommended to not fully insert the nozzle into the filler neck of the tank. It was a bizarre recommendation because it was never an issue in the past. I try to fuel my 2012 Jeep patriot (55000) miles, but the fuel pump continues to shut off. It takes me at least 10 minutes to pump 8 gallons of fuel into my tank. This has been going on for over a month now.

I had a 1/4 tank of gas and went to the gas station to fill up. While pumping, the gas pump kept shutting off. I thought something was wrong with the gas pump so I went to another pump and the same thing continued to happened (I only got a few gallons). Later that day, I went to the gas station again and the same thing was happening, the pump shutting off. I was able to finally fill the tank after repeated shut offs, pumping and shuts off again. In 2014, I had the repair done (recall for the fuel tank transfer tube) however this is the first time I am experiencing this problem with my gas tank. I did some researching and it seems to be the gas tank vent system is not venting quick enough causing the gas is backing up. I will be calling my dealership to see what they can do about this. My

Can't pump gas without it shutting off within seconds of trying to auto click handle. It is taking average 15-25 minutes to pump a tank of gas. It is BY PASSING the auto shut off so gas could spew out of tank when full. This is happening every week when I go get gas, estimate 4 months now. Doesn't matter if cold or hot outside but I am already tired of holding handle trying to get gas in the tank. I read that Chrysler is looking at 2011-2012 models due to the gas tank is split and has valve line that is defective. I have to turn ignition key on so I can see when I put enough gas in vehicle multiple times to get a full tank. I am the original owner. No warning messages that alert for condition. This is unsafe.

Issue is I cannot fuel tank due to fuel tank valve stuck. I just had the esim replaced because that was what the dealer said was the issue. Problem wasn't resolved and now I have to replace fuel tank. I saw where there were other vehicles experiencing this same issue and were recalled.

Intake manifold flow valve was replaced and so was the manifold. One month later my vehicle threw an engine light for code p2015 for the same issue. I then replace the valve again three days after thinking it was a faulty part and almost a week last same code with the engine light. It give very bad idling and with jump the rpm to almost 4k before the vehicle even moves. Needless to say pulling out in traffic would be impossible unless I was to be hit by multiple vehicles.

S61 recall I have air bag light on now took to Jeep dealer they flash computer with up dates and I still have light on told no parts available for repair and that the air bags may not go off was told no parts 4 to 6 mouths call Chrysler corp they gave me a case number #30671746 and told me can only get $35.00 aday to rent car 4 to 6 mouths is unacceptable I cant get rentel for that in my town wood like to know of better options in what to do

Two years ago I had nielsen Jeep in east hanover, nj perform the air bag recall. My Jeep patriot had 100,000 on it. I never had the air bag light come on. Immediately after they did the recall, the air bag light would come on and off. I returned the Jeep to them three times and they stated that they corrected the problem, I just brought Jeep in on 12/18/19 and they said I now need a new passenger side air bag at a cost of $1,800.00! They charged me $150.00 to diagnose the system.

My Jeep corporate case #[xxx], I informed my Jeep customer care that I want out of the vehicle, he said I didn't meet the requirement, refered me to bbb and attorney state general. The suggested process through attorney state general is to write a certified letter with signature required. Beaver county Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (2761 constitution blvd, beaver falls, pa 15010) was made aware of the failure and diagnosed that the fuel tank rollover valve was defective and needed a fuel tank replacement. I was driving home from work at approximately 55 MPH while passing a tractor trailer up a moderate incline when the engine of my 2012 Jeep patriot latitude failed. Upon passing the tractor trailer, all of the indicators on the dashboard began to light up - then the indicators, as well as my headlights, completely died. When the lights went out, the engine failed, and my car began to slow to a complete stop on a busy highway. I was barely able to get into a small space on the shoulder of the highway before a tractor trailer very nearly took my life. At first, I thought it was the car battery. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with manufacturer communications: 23-007-17 (revision b) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure.
