Rear driver side sliding door will not always close completely and sometimes opens while driving. My three year old granddaughter sits in that seat and I'm worried that the door is actually going to come open while we're driving the car. I've read of previous years for this same vehicle having this problem. I've paid to have it repaired once, but I feel that Kia should take care of this known issue. Also, there is an issue with the front end of the vehicle. It sometimes makes a grinding sound when I'm slowing down - not necessarily with my foot on the brake. Sometimes it's difficult to stop the vehicle and I'm afraid I'm going to get into an accident.

Driving to montana from colorado over the summer, ac went out. Got it back to dealership, was told blower motor went bad - actually melted the plug and we had smoke in the van! Replaced the blower motor and plug (out of pocket) from dealership since they said out of warranty due to mileage. Then, 3 weeks later, same problem. They replaced the wiring harness connector. 2 weeks later, same problem, replaced blower motor again and wiring pigtail connector to blower motor. A/c is one thing, but when entering into colorado winter driving, need heat for the windshield! Repeated problem dozens of times over the last 2 months! Vehicle isn't safe to drive now! Went to another dealership, now that it's winter in colorado, need heat for windshield. Was told needed to replace full vehicle wiring
Unknown. I've replaced the alternator and battery. The alternator many times and still having lights come on. Mostly the "brake and battery " lights. It's sitting till further notice. Not drive able.
While driving the vehicle and applying the brakes the vehicle shifted to one side of the road. There was an accident 03/2024 after having the brake control arm serviced. The braking system failed. There was a recall on the front control arm 2016. The vehicle was totaled and was salvaged due to damages to the vehicle. The brake inspection failed. Today the braking system has has no control even after the master cylinder was repaired. The vehicle is currently sitting at a service station without being serviced for at least 2 months. Kia needs to be responsible and refund for the arm control repair and other related part failures. The electrical system does not work for the windshield wipers or the air conditioner or sliding doors.
My son was driving the car with my grandson in the front passenger seat. Smoke came out of the air conditioning vents and a fire started in the wiring below the dash on the passengers side. My grandson put out the fire with his shoe and after turning off the ac the smoke stopped. Dealership said blower motor was drawing too much current. Subsequently they found a 40 amp fuse had blown and a bad motor resistor. This problem never should have happened and if the fire had spread, at best the car would be totaled and worst case a serious accident with possible loss of life. Next issue is a bad ignition switch. It was very difficult to turn the key in the switch. Replacing key did not help. Ending up replacing ignition switch. In an emergency not being able to use your car could be li

The contact owns a 2012 Kia Sedona. The contact stated that upon purchase of the vehicle, the sliding door would not close as needed and would independently open while driving without warning. The contact also stated that the electrical power mirrors would also operate independently without warning. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V101000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and took the vehicle to the dealer for repair. The contact was also provided an estimate for the repair of other vehicle failures. Two days after the repair while driving 50 MPH, the contact depressed the brake pedal as he approached a stoplight. The light turned green and the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the vehicle stalled in the middle of the intersection. The contact was forced to mak
Side doors will not open unless you use the front control button sometimes the remotes work but not all the time sometimes shows on dashboard side doors are open and they are closed this was happening when previous owner had it and I'm new owner still happens
The passenger door will not open from the inside by pulling on the handle or pushing the door open button. Pulling on the outside door handle will not open the door as well. The remote wont open them as well. This is a safety issue as passengers can't get out of car in case of accident. I have brought it to a Kia dealer and they said it works fine for them and if the problem doesn't occur when they have it they can't fix it. I have an extended warranty letter from Kia that there is a problem with the rear sliding doors. I am mystified as to why I can't get this problem fixed.

When the ABS brakes activate while going at a very slow speed during snowy or rainy weather the steering wheel locks and the dashboard lights come on. I have no control of the car. It's very scary. Very much a safety issue. I took it to the shop, but they didn't come up with anything. It has happened about 5 times over the past 2 years. The mileage varies. The most recent incident the vehicle had 210,000 miles

It is almost impossible while driving on a daily basis to not step on the brakes while also depressing the accelerator simultaneously. I believe this is a design flaw, since I've been driving for 42 years and have driven dozens upon dozens of makes and models and never once encountered an issue where the brake & accelerator are positioned in such a way that, unless you pick up your foot completely off the accelerator and deliberately replace it to the far left of the brake pedal, then you find yourself pressing both at once causing the car to lurch forward while you are trying to stop. This is not an occasional problem. It occurs on a near daily basis, despite the fact that I'm aware of the problem and do everything to avoid it. It's an extremely dangerous design flaw and needs to be addr

Let me begin by prefacing that this is our 2nd sedona, and we purchased both brand new. We have had this vehicle for 4 months, and it only has appx. 6000 miles on the odometer. I was driving down a residential side street I approached the a stop sign, I began depressing the brakes to slow down, and there was a car at the stop sign in front of me, waiting to turn left. As I continued to slow down with my foot still on the brake, the van's engine, out of nowhere, began to rev continuously at full throttle. My foot was still on the brake, and despite that the van began to move forward despite. I pushed my foot down as hard as I possibly could onto the brake, but the brake pedal was resisting, due to the continuous high rev of the engine. Out of desperation because I was just about to rear-end
