2013 Cadillac XTS owner complaints

The contact owned a 2013 Cadillac XTS. The contact stated that they parked their vehicle and approximately 5-10 minutes afterward the vehicle caught fire. The fire department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. There were two vehicles and a bicycle nearby that caught on fire as a result of the contact's vehicle fire spreading. There were no injuries and medical attention was required. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case regarding the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

Code; 6001 cpa cue screen does not respond to touch. I took a look on social media, and this turns out to be a very common occurance with the Cadillac! I feel general motors knew about this malfunction and a recall needs to occur asap. Also the customers that paid to have issue fixed,should be reimbursed as soon as possible! The vehicle was taken to armen Cadillac in plymouth meeting, pa, 610-272-5545, where it was diagnosed, the dealer replaced the battery and the battery control module. The failure recurred four months later and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer. The technician diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. The contact reminded the technician that the battery was replaced four months ago. The technician insisted that the battery needed to be replaced again. Vehicle radio and dashboard is completely blackout, started flashing and later went black in a month time.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Cadillac xts. While driving 10 MPH, the contact noticed an abnormal odor and observed smoke coming from the dashboard. The contact was alerted by another driver that there were flames underneath the vehicle. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. A police report was filed. The contact had to go to the hospital due to smoke inhalation. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000.

Brakes squeal when vehicle placed in reverse on inital movement after setting all night (interstate battery) battery drained totally dead after 1 year of service on new battery. Car was driven to store, parked, after shopping the car was dead would not crank. Nothing was left on to drain-----mechanic said it was inherant on some vehicles.

Message”stalbility track needs service” while driving, speedometer and rpm hands become unstable with lights for traction coming on. Then car shuts down with no acceleration. Have brought to GM service several times and they can’t find the problem.

Car lost engine power, power steering, power breaks and all electrical function except for hazard lights. This has happened 7 times and I have taken it for two repairs. I have to cruise to a stop and restart the vehicle.

My 2013 xts with 23,000 miles just stopped. In the middle of the road because some vent screen had a tear in it. The air blew on the engine just shut off in the middle of a 3 lane road. Everyone please be cautious there was no warning it just shuttle down.

Took my car in for an alignment and new tires (tires were smooth on the outside after 24k miles), and was told the service could not be performed as all 4 rims were severly out of round. My option was to replace all four rims, about $2300, or have an after market company come to the dealership and repair on site for $600.

All 4 of the wheels seem to be leaking around some of the spokes and it looks like glue. I am wondering if it is safe to let that go on, because it seems to me like some of them are glued in. Rear seat head restraint does not lock in upright position. I drive with read head restraint folded down for visibility. When I try to lock in upright position for passengers, brighter head restraint locks upright.

My wife and I purchased a new 2013 Cadillac xts a year ago and have had issues with the vogue tires and rims that came with the car. The tires are vogue m&s 245/40r20 99vxl and we believe they are a major safety problem. A few months ago the front tires had a major vibration issue so I took the car in for service and had it checked out. The dealer stated that I had a bad tire and that I would need to buy another one which I paid $100.00 for. The rims started to peel and the dealer stated that the rims are not under a warranty. After that, a few days ago the car started to vibrate again in the front so I took the care in for service. The dealer had a technician and I to perform a road test and the car commence to vibrate in the front at a highway speed of 65mph as verified by the tech. Afte

Automatic Headlamp Leveling System malfunction causing safety issues with nighttime driving.

The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac XTS. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH and attempting to stop, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond as needed with the brake pedal going down to the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the brake booster had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 118,000.

Also, the steering would make a knocking sound, while parallel parking or making a sharp turn. The dealer changed the steering mechanism.
