Power Ford says that the transmission clutches have problems. Have 48000 miles and the transmission was bad at 21000 miles and has gotten worse. Bucks when you take off from stop and when pulling into traffic on 101 and it does not go I have to put into low to get across street. Have friends that will not ride with me because the car is unsafe. Dealer states this is a common problem with these transmissions for a number of years. Ford says a common problem. Dealer says cannot get parts to repair from Ford.

Delivered on 7/8/13 dealer: jersey city Ford. Dear Ford, we are upset over the repeated problems with our 2013 Ford fiesta, brand new on 7/18/2013. The car has been bucking, grinding and almost stalling. When we called to complain or ask questions we were told that this was normal. The next call and visit for repair we were told it was the new transmission/ power shift on the fiestas & focus. Also informed there was an "open recall" on a part that is involved in the clutch of these new vehicles. They say it sounds/drives and feels like a manual transmission but its good on gas. Well, the problem with this is, we turned in a 2011 Ford focus se with this same transmission that is in the 2013 cars and no way did we have these problems. Here are the following times we went to jc Ford repair:
I bought a new 2013 fiesta in 6/13. I have been having problems with it since 3/14. The car shakes, shifts and looses power when taking off. These problems are a great concern to me since I have 2 kids and I am afraid we are not safe in this car. In one instance car lost all power while entering the freeway and I could have been easily rear ended by someone. In other instance the car shake while waiting on a red light and then no power to take off. These are really big problems that put a person at a very high risk for accidents. I have been to Ford dealer in pittsburgh ca more than 7 times related to multiple problems with this car and all they do is put fluid/oil and clean parts of the transmission/ clutch and honestly is very disappointing. I bought a new car to have a safe transportat
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, there was a loud rattling sound coming from the vehicle and the vehicle experienced a loss of power and decelerated. The vehicle was driven to a nearby service station. After restarting the vehicle and shifting to drive(D), the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The vehicle was later towed to the local mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was 131,000.
Im not sure if I have selected correct options. But all I know is when I slow my car and they try to accelerate the car does not speed up immediately it take few minutes. Hence I have to accelerate more to make the car running. This has always been an issue. Quite difficult while switching lanes on highways or taking turns. Specially driving in winter is scary. I find the car very unpredictable. I took it to the servicing centre in toronto ca at dufferin for the recall that was issued and the issue is still not resolved. After informing them they just disregarded saying this is an issue with all Ford. Thinking im a women and dont understand much of cars I forgot about it. Even when it rains while applying a brake it startles and doesn't stop immediately. This issue was also discussed with
Ford fiestas have received numerous complaints due to the powershift transmission Ford installed in the cars. This causes the car to have major delayed acceleration, sporadic jerking while driving, shuddering upon acceleration. I have had to drove off the road multiple times, including tonight on my way home from work, to avoid being hit while merging onto highways or roads due to this delay in acceleration and I know it's only a matter of time before I'm in an accident. Ford refuses to do anything other than just replacing the transmission with another one that does the same thing in less than a month after being installed. Don't wait for people to get hurt or killed due to Ford's neglacancge in their terrible design of these vehicles.

My "engine malfunction service now" light came on. The vehicle has 30,300 miles. Took it in and was told that the wires from the gas pedal to the panel were "frayed." they couldn't give me an answer on how this occurred but that it would cost $875.00. My 3yr/36,000 warranty is up. I did take it in for the check up before warranty expired and was told everything was ok. Today I was told that they wouldn't have seen this during that inspection. I have no choice but to get it fixed but 30,300 miles and no explanation on how the wires frayed?
Over the last 2 months, the radio and instrument dashboard have been flashing intermittently and car losing power. Brought to Ford dealership but they couldn't duplicate the problem during test drive. In addition to the problems listed earlier, now the TCS off keeps on flashing even when car is idle.
On the vehicle there is a flaw in lock out safety system. When key is in ignition and car running it is possible to lock your self out. Here's how. With key in ignition and driver door open. Engage the lock button from key fob. Step out side vehicle and close door. You our now locked out of your running vehicle. This has happen twice. I accidentally touched the lock button while trying to engage the trunk release button from key fob. Note. The only way to open trunk is from key fob as well as engaging button located outside as long as all doors are unlocked. This is a safety hazard if your vehicle is in weather that could be harmful to small children or animals. *tr
Ongoing issue - key was not in the ignition, you hear loud static coming from radio/audio system. Please note this happens randomly while the car is moving or parked - key not in ignition. The radio no longer functions - you hear 'cracking and popping' regularly and sometimes the volume is startling driving down the road and the audio system starts blaring static, you jump reacting to the noise. This causes distracted driving which is illegal in california and many other states. This is a safety issue. There are hundreds of complaints online in many blogs about this product who are experiencing the same problem. Intervention by NHTSA is needed before someone is hurt in an accident from being distracted by this blaring noise. Some consumers can not afford to replace or remo
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Ford fiesta. When the vehicle was started, the contact heard a loud popping noise near the radio. At times, the radio failed to turn off. The vehicle was not yet inspected and diagnosed by a dealer. The radio continued to stay on after the vehicle was turned off. An independent mechanic suggested that a fuse be disconnected, but the contact needed a permanent solution. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
Bought this car used 2013 on 12-01-2020 had less than 2 weeks and it completely shut down on my daughter driving to work, took to local dealer they said nothing they could find, but this is a very dangerous thing to happen for no reason the car just down thank goodness she was not on the highway! Again, the dealer that sold us the car defends that they have checked it out but we are afraid going forward the next time she wont be so lucky we have no warranty and the dealer who sold us the car kept insisting we pay an extra 2000 for a warranty I feel maybe they know something is wrong or about to be for them to be so pushy again, she was driving to work and it just shut down lights started to flash and then a noise was made, the brakes worked still and the steering wheel worked but nothing

The latch for the rear door/hatchback has malfunctioned, which caused the rear door to fail to open. Upon bringing to the dealer for service, I was instructed that the technicians opened the door but that if I open it again, it will not shut. For two months, it has remained as such while the latch is on backorder with no date identified for part replacement or repair. I am concerned about the integrity of the door and whether it will remain shut while driving. *tr
