2013 Hyundai Genesis sedan (BH) is experiencing the intermittent soft brake pedal and reduced braking pressure that matches the TSB 22-BR-001H for the HECU on 2009-2012 Genesis sedans. I took it to the local dealership but their mechanic said they could not recreate the condition. The ABS and ESC lights have both come on at times but I was told there are no stored codes. The tech noted that the rear driver brake pads appeared to have some additional wear indicating additional ABS activity or sticking brake pads. I paid to have a brake service performed and the brake fluid flush/replacement performed to eliminate the concern of any air entrapment or sticking brake pads. However, this work did not resolve the problem. The shop said there are no open recalls nor brake related TSBs for

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated while driving 50-60 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to respond and remained on the floorboard. The contact also stated that the vehicle was making abnormal sounds. The contact continued to depress the brake pedal for 30 seconds until the vehicle stopped. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road and parked the vehicle. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to her residence with assistance. On multiple occasions, occurring more and more frequently, my 2013 Genesis R-Spec sedan has experienced brake pedal fade issues. The brakes work fine one minute and the next the pedal will go almost to the floor before slowing the vehicle down. The car has approximately 150K miles and is still in great shape. Brakes have been serviced, checked, and inspected by a reputable mechanic. No leaks or other issues noted. I did find a TSB related to this, Hyundai TSB [XXX], also it looks like there is a recall on earlier models, recall number13V-489 / 114, built on or before March of 2012. My car was built Oct 2012, but i believe it is affected. I contacted my local dealer to check to see if the TSB had been expanded or if there were any other issues and no deal. The person on the phone did tell
Brake pedal goes all the way down when braking. Master cylinder failure. Mileage on vehicle 33,678.
On multiple occasions the brake pedal will go nearly to the floor without stopping the car causing a panic and aggressive braking before nearly getting into an accident. We have to pump the pedal to make them work. This happened at any speed at random times. The brake pads have been inspected and still have plenty of pad left. Car has 125k mostly highway miles. Multiple mechanic advice and on line issues points to a faulty $1600 ABS module. I have two other much older vehicles with way more miles with no such issue
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the parking brake and several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the rear brakes were faulty, and an unknown sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that after leaving the independent mechanic, a burning odor was detected. The contact drove to the residence and inspected underneath the hood. There was smoke coming from the driver's side engine compartment. The contact disconnected the battery to stop the smoke. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V651000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. Th

the abs light stays on no matter what ive tried resetting it and everything and it wont work, the electrical system in the car sometimes doesnt work properly this regarding the headlights and interior buttons, the transmission on the car since i have bought it has a really dangerous kick back on it in the transmission jolts the car really hard to the point its dangerous to drive on dry and rainy days because the tires will lose traction and i will have to get the traction back under control due to the kick back in this transmsion problem it has caused the engine to give out also.
Auto hesitates when accelerated hard; it falls flat on its face when called on to perform. Not sure if it is engine or transmission (wrong gear). I consider this a safety issue because one cannot get out of the way of oncoming traffic. Typically, when attempting to exit a slow moving (30-40 MPH) traffic lane into fast lane, the car temporarily stalls putting driver at risk of being hit in rear. This almost always happens where car is moving as slow speed, but rarely from a dead stop. *tr
The head rest just popped out while I was driving did not hit anything. The radio goes out some time ,I have to cut it off and back on to make it work. The dash around the radio just started coming loose for no reason. I'm ridding in the to of the line Hyundai.

There was a recall on some Hyundai engines from 2011-2012. I have been told by Hyundai that my vehicle was not included in the recall as it is a 2013. It is the same engine and has malfunctioned in one of the cylinders rendering the car inoperable because of that engine malfunction. The car has had routine maintenance and is at 100k miles.

While traveling at 65mph the car was cut off and the ABS did not work, the rear fishtailed and lost control, slamming into a guardrail at 65mph, the right passenger side front and back were severely impacted, and no air bags were deployed at time of crash. Seat belts did not hold and passengers were hurt. Air bag, failure and seatbelt failure are the major problems with this vehicle. *tr

Updated 02/11/2014 *bf the consumer stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer twice, for the vibration issue. The consumer took the vehicle to another dealer, where they did a road balance force and performed an alignment. The major shaking in the steering was gone. However, there was still a vibration when the vehicle went over expansion joints, the steering wheel would still vibrate.

Most times my car will start when I press the "engine start stop" button my foot is on the brake. Most times it will shut down when the button is pressed. Sometimes it will not. I never know when and if I will have this problem. I took the car to the Hyundai dealer in toms river, nj. They said it was a faulty start-stop button. I paid them to diagnose the problem. They charged me a diagnostic fee and for a new start-stop button. I drove the car home thinking my problem was solved. The problem was eliminated for two days only to return again. When I advised them of this, I received no assistance. I can not return to this dealer. I simply don't trust them.
While rolling slowly, then accelerating to cross 3 lanes of traffic, mainly in local town driving, the car seems to stall and then suddenly accelerated very quickly. This has happened at least 10 times in different situations I.e.: changing lanes quickly after rolling, while waiting for an opening in traffic. Have brought car back to dealer many times with the same complaint. Once they said they updated the transmission. It did not help. The last time they said don't use the eco mode, it creates a slight hesitation. I'm afraid this car will kill me someday when I pull out into traffic and have be power

I brought the car in the dealership for the recall (251). The dealership was not able to fix the recall, which affected other parts of the car. The dealership could not fix the other parts. The vehicle was inspected by the manufacturer. The dealership did not allow to pick up the car from their parking lot. The manufacturer refuses to pay for the car or other expensives caused by this recall.
