2013 Nissan pathfinder hesitated (shudder) when I accelerated the vehicle from a standstill in traffic on the freeway. The vehicle did not move for about 2-3 seconds. It sounded like the vehicles power just shut off. After 2-3 seconds, the vehicle then accelerated. This happens every so often from a standstill/pause at a traffic light or in traffic. I have addressed the problem to my Nissan service dealer. The vehicle is currently at the dealer for service. I turned the vehicle in to the dealer on 12/30/14 due to an "ikey error code" only to find out that the body control module unit had to be replaced. Too many issues with this vehicle. Luckily I still have warranty. Do something before something major happens. *js

On slow road coasting between 15-20mph, the vehicle hesitated and shaked for around 3 seconds until accelerated above 20 MPH. On dec 17, made the same in another road, same MPH. Yesterday 12/30 did it again. In routine maintenance on the dealer, 12/26 informed about the two (2) first events. They recorded it on the job; they need to have the vehicle more time in order to reproduce. Imo at this time, with so many owners complaining about this same progressive defect, is no need to leave a vehicle days (and others putting mileage on it) to reproduce this random problem in addition of the inconvenience of being without transportation. *js

We purchased a new 2013 Nissan pathfinder on approx 6/2013 and now have 10,000 miles on it. The last few weeks we have been noticing at slow speeds approx 25 MPH we are experiencing a shudder in the transmission. It is happening fairly consistent now at 25mph and under a load like a slight incline. It requires a release of the throttle and reapply to get the shudder to stop and start pulling again. This is a potentially very dangerous situation if you are crossing oncoming traffic and have to release the throttle, not a good thing! I am now reading of many other owners who are experiencing the same type issue and there are now 4 service bulletins relating to transmission issues on this vehicle and they are not fixing the problems. I am schedule for my first appointment next week to a

2013 Nissan pathfinder will hesitate (shudder) when shifting from first gear to second gear while going aprox 20mph. I have addressed the problem to my Nissan service dealer and they give me the can not duplicate issue, no check engine lite code. Nothing they can do. Today 12/30/14 going real slow behind another car aprox 20mph the pathfinder is shuddering and banging like crazy, and loss of power. Please Nissan co. Do something before something major happens before you address the problem. *js

Was parked at stop light and proceeded when green and transmission failed to engage to 2nd gear. Pulled off the road and put car in park. Put back in drive and tried to proceed and transmission jerked back and forth between 1st and second gear, but did finally transition to second gear. *tr

Transmission shudders at low speed up inclines. There needs to be a recall as this affected a broad segment of 2013 pathfinders. This has happened multiple times. The dealer service bulletin to reprogram the computer did nothing. *tr

I purchased my pathfinder in july 2013 and have had 2 issues. The first is a sputtering with the gas pedal which occurs quite frequently under low speeds. Took it in for evaluation and Nissan said that's how CVT transmissions work and that it was normal. Very strange. The second issue I am currently having is the most concerning. While traveling at various speeds, when I push on the gas pedal there is no power at all and no acceleration. At times the pedal can be all the way to the floor and then 2 to 3 seconds later the acceleration comes back. It has happen to me in a passing situation on the freeway and while making a turn at an intersection and almost caused an accident. The car is currently in service to be evaluated and they have said unless they can replicate the issue on their end

Interior door handle failure. The handle component of the interior door handle which retains the actuator cable frequently breaks resulting in an inability to open the door from inside the vehicle. I have replaced four of these on my vehicle in the 5 years I have owned it. The drivers door has been repaired twice. The component is plastic and obviously not made sturdy enough or made of appropriate material to withstand normal use. Failure of this component results in the inability to open the door from inside the vehicle, posing a safety concern should a passenger need to exit the vehicle in an emergency situation. Had I only experienced this issue once, I would not be gravely concerned, but this component is failing too frequently to just ignore. Numerous online forums also s

The subframe on 2013 Nissan Pathfinder was completely broken from rot. I brought it to a shop because it was pulling to the left and making a clanking noise. I was told this is a common problem with 2013 Nissan’s. Car started pulling to the left about a month ago. Car was inspected about 2 weeks ago. After doing research it was learned that the 2013 pathfinders were never sprayed properly with some kind of rust protection. The pathfinder made a newly designed model for 2013 and never properly sprayed it. There are multiple places you can find others with 2013 pathfinder’s that have rusted out in the same area once the car get to about 140000 miles. Mine is just over 140000 miles

Rear Subframe/under body completely rusted out at cracked. My daughter and I drive a lot for her health condition to appointments. The Nissan Dealership said this could have been catastrophic driving down the freeway had it broke apart while driving. It completely fell apart in the mechanics hand after they removed it and were showing me what actually happened and what I was driving around on. Nissan dealership quoted me $11,000.00 for the part and labor. I had it fixed through an authorized mechanic for $5,000.00 Because it was wearing and I didn't notice because there were no signs or messages, it rubbed my tires almost bald to where the wires were showing. I had to replace those as well. I wash my car regularly and get 2 detail cleans a year, my car has been well maintained since I b

Takata recall while the vehicle has been in motion, the airbag light has remained on several times while the seat has been occupied. 7 attempts at repair have been attempted, including replacing parts and updating sensors. The air bag sensor in the passenger seat is not registering a occupant sitting in the seat. This has occurred several times. The first time did register a airbag malfunction light. The local service department downloaded the fault and cleared it and their response was if this happens again bring it back in. It has happened several times since then but not airbag malfunction light on the dash. The airbag off light will remain on for over a minute. I have several videos of the passenger sitting in the seat while the vehicle is moving and still Nissan refuses to do anything but say look at the owners manual for safe seating positions. I do not want my wife to be injured more as a result of the airbag not deploying. Nissan needs to get this problem sorted out. At this point I don't EV

Fuel gauge is inaccurate. Fuel tank capacity is approximately 19 gallons. Gauge abruptly changes. Shows close to full until 6 gallons in tank is left. Then shows half full. When shows one quarter full tank only has 2 gallons left in tank. This occurs whether driving or stationary, level or incline. This is a safety issue as the vehicle quickly runs low on fuel and does not allow for proper refueling planning. *tr
