This vehicle is needing a quart of oil every 300-400 miles. It's a 6 year old car, there is something seriously wrong with Audi engine design. A quart of oil every 300-400 miles is completely unacceptable. Since day 1 this vehicle has had an oil consumption problem now at 75k miles and the problem just continues to get worse.

The timing chain and tensioner in my 2014 Audi A4 Quattro (VIN: [XXX] ) failed without warning, causing the engine to suddenly stall and become inoperable while in motion. This presented a serious safety hazard. Although my vehicle is slightly outside the settlement mileage and time limit, timing chains are considered a lifetime component and are not a maintenance item, meaning they are not expected to fail and are not listed as requiring inspection or replacement under any Audi maintenance schedule. This failure was sudden, catastrophic, and safety-related. Audi and Volkswagen have already acknowledged this timing chain defect in federal class-action litigation (Opheim et al. v. Volkswagen Group of America), and my VIN is included in the affected vehicle list. Audi’s own dealership tech
Loss of power / Turning onto oncoming traffic there was severe hesitation. Which caused the car to not move onto oncoming traffic quick enough causing both oncoming vehicles to maneuver around. Upon going to the mechanic he states I have oil in the engine from faulty piston rings which he states he has seen multiple times in these models.
Intake valve spring on cylinder 4 ( the only warning I received was the car started to make a rattling noise and the whole car started to shake and the epc light then came on, when it starts it is hesitant to start) I purchased car on 7/24/2020 the first time it broke was on/around 10/27/2020 and the car has now encountered the same issuse on /around 10/28/202, I am unsure if this has been an issue with previous owner, but this should be looked at in a safty due to the whole engine going.
I took my car to the Audi service center and they expressed to me that my engine coolant pump was not working and that it had to be replaced. However, they did not tell me it was apart of a recall. Had I known this, I feel as though I should not have been charged approximately $2,300 to get it fixed when it was recalled from something out of my control.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Audi a4. While driving, the engine and oil pressure indicators illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over and the contact called his mechanic to come and inspect the vehicle. The mechanic noticed that the vehicle's coolant pump was extremely hot, which could cause the vehicle to catch on fire and explode. The vehicle was towed to the mechanic's shop and then to Audi. The contact informed the dealer (Audi shrewsbury, 780 boston turnpike, shrewsbury, ma 01545, (508) 581-5800) of NHTSA campaign number: 18v229000 (engine and engine cooling), which had not been found during a previous visit. The contact refused to pay for a diagnostic test. The contact emailed the dealer's general manager, but did not receive a response. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure

steering 4 complaints shown
My new 2014 Audi a4 quattro premium plus has a severe and extremely hazardous steering issue where the car drifts left to right and right to left at all speeds but is more pronounced at highway speeds. This car is a hazard to drive. *tr
Car is feeling jerky and shaky at the steering wheel when driving or sitting still. Very common problem on these cars. Will probably need new steering rack. This issue needs to become a recall. Very frustrating.
"Audi steering problem" at highway speeds the steering becomes stiff when changing lanes and it does not respond to going back to the center of lane right away it gives resistance it wants to keep going on to the last direction the steering was going it has gradually gotten worst even on city streets normal driving I could feel resistance the steering feels stiff and heavy the steering wanders from straight path on highway the steering sometimes goes against direction you want car to go causing a moment of panic god forbid a fatality occurs took it to service Audi driving test we came back they did diagnostic they said the computer says nothing wrong it seems to me they set computer with low safety standard they are trying to cover this up someone of authority needs to step in and hold th
Vehicle all of a sudden had a warning light with the steering while driving and wheel stopped turning. This was very dangerous due to the fact that the vehicle was in motion eventually started turning back after I stopped the car and put on hazards and kept playing with steering but was still very difficult to steer. Had to tow vehicle to Audi and took a week and a few days with the car. Now after I got it for only a few days my oil sensor has gone bad after I asked them to check everything. I find this very strange

Because of the odor of gasoline for several weeks, I had asked the dealer to investigate and what the reason was, if any. He called to tell me the fuel pump was leaking and that I should replace it for safety reasons such as gasoline coming in contact with the exhaust manifold. The pump was replaced by them. A copy of the receipt has been uploaded. Thank you.
On saturday 10/26/2019 as I left my office to head home that day from work my epc light and engine MIL light in my dashboard came on and the car would not start. I started to smell gas fumes in the car and smoke coming from the back seat like a fire had started. I shut off the car, got out and opened all the doors and as I approached the right side of the vehicle I spotted large amounts of fuel leaking from underneath where the fuel pump is located. I called my authorized mechanic as he has dealt with my vehicle before and he came and diagnosed the vehicle, hooked it up to his computer and gave him a few error codes. 1 was for the fuel pump, another for the after run coolant pump. He informed me that there was a malfunction within the electric fuel pump itself that's causing the issue an

I originally took in my vehicle to the town Audi dealership at 43,995 miles on november 28th, 2017 complaining of CVT hesitation and delaying before engaging between gear shifts but occurring more on inclines and downslopes. They claimed they could not replicate the issue and that what I was experiencing might have been the delay the transmission that is also turbocharged, makes normally. Unconvinced and still experiencing the same symptoms and jerking now at low rpms, and growling metal noise accelerating on incline, I took it in again at 46,053 miles on february 5th, 2018. This time again, they could not replicate the issue. Finally, on november 12th, 2018 I take it in again complaining of the same issues, this time im at 55,553 miles and out of warranty. They were apparently able to rep
My 2024 a4's 8 speed automatic will not always shift into 8th gear. I've went 18 miles before it finally shifted into high gear. I was even going down a long hill at 60 MPH and it would not shift into high gear. This seems to happen more when the transmission is cold. You can see what gear its in by shifting the gear lever over into manual mode. I also noticed it will shift into high gear faster if you let up on the gas pedal after you reach 50 or more MPH. My car has the drive select option ( comfort, auto, and dynamic modes) it doesn't matter which mode its in, I still have the problem. I noticed this last year and it is still happening.
airbags 2 complaints shown
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 audio a4. The contact stated while waiting to turn left, another vehicle ran through the light and crashed into the front passenger's side of the contact's vehicle. The driver and passenger side air bag failed to deploy. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the air bag was not supposed to deploy. The contact was unable to confirm if there were any injuries or if a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard where it was deemed as destroyed. The failure mileage was 3,000.
I am finding that Audi is not handling the airbag recall very diligently. Audi has my name, mail address, email address and cell phone number and has made no efforts to contact me. I receive mail from Audi regularly, including emails with service specials and yet none of them mention this recall whatsoever. Your pdf issued the required recall on october 23. Why are they not required to act quickly? *tr
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
I released the driver's side seat belt pushing the red release mechanism after I parked my car and turned it off. When I returned to the vehicle I discovered the seat belt had, in fact, not retracted but had twisted itself into the holder. I was unable to free it. It would not pull out or rewind. Audi charged me the repair. When I objected stating it was a defect in the product and as it is a safety item that is required by law to be usable, the safety belt should have been warranted for the life of the vehicle. I was told Audi doesn't do that. As they did not quote me or tell me the item was not under warranty, they reduced the charge to half the amount they wanted to be paid. It should be that all seat belts are under warranty for the life of all vehicles except when it has been obvious

I received a recall notice for disconnecting electric coolant pump. I called two dealers and they said they did not have any parts and did not know when the parts would be available. However, the recall notice states "until the recall work is done, you should park outdoors as a precaution in case of a vehicle fire due to the safety defect". I was told to keep calling back to see if they had any parts in. This is unacceptable. This is a huge safety issue if my car could catch on fire. Who can help me with this??
